I'm in love with these Roadhouse scenes. Always had been. This is one of my favorites. It makes the City feel so much more alive it might as well be a character. The Chromatics song is just perfect for it
Twin Peaks is amazing. Spiritual. This scene in particular transmits a feeling of, like, time passed, the characters are older, the town too, but the situations remain the same - subjects of a little town: love, accidents, people in trouble going to prison, madness... A summary of life. And the melancholy of the song... Oh... The atmosphere is so great, it's even hard to describe!
I love the way Lynch subtly pokes fun at the gossip/drama/soap opera mentalities of the world but always reminds us of the darkness, chaos and decay underneath it all...
I always felt watching those scenes, that they made it obvious that you were watching the coolest tv series ever, with the confidence in itself to just finish the episodes with the coolest music around. Love them!
A lot of these conversations seem more real and natural than other shows. Like how people just enter the scene and start dialogue without introducing themselves to the audience.
It's almost as if these random scenes with the people we didn't know was the equivalent to the old series, but Lynch wanted to take us above that, into the mythology of the story.
I loved the Roadhouse scenes, they felt like David Lynch's version of nostalgia. The whole season, which I absolutely loved, completely had a different tone than the original, but these super dreamy segments were so cordoned off. They really did feel like dreams, because each one was like a dream where you start in the middle, and leave before it's over.
@BX5BT Yes, it's the final scene from part 12 of the show. Most episodes end with a scene in that bar with different artists performing. Chromatics also featured in part 2, performing "Shadow".
I know the episode is pretty weak in comparison to others. But man, this song playing over the entire scene made it one of my favourite scenes in the show so far, and it made the rest of the episode worth it.
lyricsfromsweden I know they were on episode 2 doing shadow. I don't remember this - have to check it out . But this scene is not relevant to the rest of the series.
Waited decades for the return of TP and it was even better than I could have wished for, then to top it off Ruth and the guys play out an episode. Perfection
I'd never heard of the Chromatics, but this is a simple and beautiful song. I guess it is an instrumental version of the song "Saturday" on one of their albums. I prefer this version and I wish I could find it uninterrupted without the dialogue.
Dennis Davis this instrumental version is listed on the Score Soundtrack track listing! I expected it on the the other one, but I'll take it either way!
That synth is sooooo good. This is music that makes you wish you could be playing it. I would happily strum the jangly guitar the blonde is doing, or even that simple metronome like drum part over this....Ahh
It feels like this was made for Twin Peaks. It sounds like a dream and the ending of the song sound like waking up from a dream. Maybe Lynch ordered this song to be made this way.
Richard Horne on the run from the Twin Peaks (and toward The Farm) is obviously the "ass eater" who almost killed Trick. That guy had some serious problems behind the wheel
This is probably the 3rd best of the bang bang bar scenes, after the season opener and the Richard Horne segment. The Chromatics could make any scene amazing!
Cannot stop listening to this. Fits the scene/series perfectly & is just a brilliant tune in its own right. Beautiful, I hope this version is on the released soundtrack.
THANK YOU for uploading this!! I used to fast foward the Episode 12 recording to the end just to watch/listen to this, and rewind/play it like 3-4 times to get my fix
I never got why he said "obviously you want one too" and gestured at her bottle, almost like the script indicated it should be nearly empty but it wasn't. Instead it comes off like he's implying she's a huge boozer.
I'm in love with these Roadhouse scenes. Always had been. This is one of my favorites. It makes the City feel so much more alive it might as well be a character. The Chromatics song is just perfect for it
Same
_The_ Chromatics go with the world of Twin Peaks like coffee goes with cherry pie...
no.
c'mon, everybody knows girls can't do shoegaze...theres always a Robin Guthrie or Kevin Shields doing all the work to make it work...
Damn Good Pie
Damn good coffee...
Yeah Twin Peaks must be where good alt-rock goes to die

thank you for listening xo
This song is sooooo beautiful. Chromatics and Twin Peaks just make sense
I love the way Lynch subtly pokes fun at the gossip/drama/soap opera mentalities of the world but always reminds us of the darkness, chaos and decay underneath it all...
happy birthday david! xoxo
he doesn't "poke fun", he loves that stuff
@@gundabalf Twin Peaks fans comically misunderstand the show so much. notably, they also forget about Mark Frost.
2023.
What an amazing series.
Loved this cover of Saturday from Chromatics.
I miss this show so much.
soooo good! what an honor to work on Twin Peaks with David Lynch xo
Twin Peaks + Chromatics = Divine Union....
Say it again Rose x
I DO NOT GET WHY THE ROADHOUSE SCENES ARE DISLIKED, THEY ARE INTERESTING GIVING THE AUDIENCE A FULL VIEW OF THE CRAZY TOWN LIFE.
they are page turners in the narrative. bookending and returning to home
Starhunter Terra yeah , that's what it is, it's not part of the story but instead just checks out the culture if the town.
At least that aspect of the town. Like the yang to the Double R Diner's yin.
I always felt watching those scenes, that they made it obvious that you were watching the coolest tv series ever, with the confidence in itself to just finish the episodes with the coolest music around. Love them!
This is the most important one
A lot of these conversations seem more real and natural than other shows. Like how people just enter the scene and start dialogue without introducing themselves to the audience.
Jajajajajajja funny
Chromatics is to The Return what Julee Cruise was to the original series.
absolutely!!
^THIS
Gossip, Rumors, and dreams. Twin Peaks in a nutshell
It's almost as if these random scenes with the people we didn't know was the equivalent to the old series, but Lynch wanted to take us above that, into the mythology of the story.
D Lynch needs to open up a bar already...
He did but it's only accessible with the right state of mind
I would be there every day LOL.
Deff best bookings ever...
Like on The Cleveland Show?
I loved the Roadhouse scenes, they felt like David Lynch's version of nostalgia. Damn
I was so so happy that Chromatics was in Twin Peaks because their art matches with the show.
Sting Savage nice to see them return again after the premiere
Agreed
is this whole video an actual scene from twin peaks? i'm not familiar with this show..
it seems like it
@BX5BT Yes, it's the final scene from part 12 of the show. Most episodes end with a scene in that bar with different artists performing. Chromatics also featured in part 2, performing "Shadow".
A match made in heaven, Lynch and the Chromatics .....
That mans taste in music though
Did anyone else get anxiety waiting for the STARRING KYLE MACLACHLAN card to come up
Twin Peaks must be where good alt-rock goes to die
Twin Peaks is the GOAT spanning two centuries. we are lucky to be alive and to get to experience it in our lifetime.
This song fills my heart and soul. ❤ Sublime. Love. 😢
thank you for listening. we worked very hard on the twin peaks project. what an honor to work with david xo
The latina actress is so wonderful...so is the asian gal...but i love the latina especially when she says, " whoopee!" Perfection!!!
Walter King Ana de la Reguera! Check her out in Capadocia, great series.
its just so humane so fuck it man its awesome every simple performance feels so real....but so like a dream at the same time
Can't listen to this track on the soundtrack album without hearing "whoopee"! :D
She's the main character in "Spanglish" with Adam Sandler. Cute movie! Great actors in it Téa Leoni, Thomas Haden, Cloris Leachman...
@@corinausa nah shes not, that one is paz Vega... This one is Ana de la reguera
That “whooopie” is so cool.
Yeah, I love her accent on that.
When you get to heaven the first thing they hand out is a Gretsch guitar.
I know the episode is pretty weak in comparison to others. But man, this song playing over the entire scene made it one of my favourite scenes in the show so far, and it made the rest of the episode worth it.
Every piece is required to be complete.
Yes!
Which episode was this? I don’t remember
There is no "weak" episodes in any Lynch movies, moron.
lyricsfromsweden I know they were on episode 2 doing shadow. I don't remember this - have to check it out .
But this scene is not relevant to the rest of the series.
This music is extraordinary. It reminds me of Julee Cruise's melancholy.
gorgeous xo
Twin peaks is my favorite series of all time. It is amazing art
I love it
HEINEKEN?! Fuck that shit! PABST! BLUE! RIBBON!
Waited decades for the return of TP and it was even better than I could have wished for, then to top it off Ruth and the guys play out an episode. Perfection
This music takes my mind to so many places.
I'm in love with Chromatics now
Oh the David Lynchesque melancholia...
I'd never heard of the Chromatics, but this is a simple and beautiful song. I guess it is an instrumental version of the song "Saturday" on one of their albums. I prefer this version and I wish I could find it uninterrupted without the dialogue.
2 soundtrack albums are due for release in September so fingers crossed this version will feature, it really is amazing.
Dennis Davis this instrumental version is listed on the Score Soundtrack track listing! I expected it on the the other one, but I'll take it either way!
Well, a third of Desire is Johnny Jewel, who is also a member of the Chromatics and Glass Candy.
Vocal version is on "Windswept", Johnny Jewel's new release.
italiansdoitbetter.bigcartel.com/
One dollar album downloads!
+Victor GarP I did not know that. No wonder I like music from all of them.
Trick's entrance is one of the great left turns in the history of film.
I think this song feels like Sunday morning. After a long Saturday night.
perfect mood xo
WhatI would like to know is where did you get this version without the ending credits rolling over the band…
Johnny Jewel got it straight from David Lynch's producer xo
Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera is brilliant!
yes!!!
I love how she says Whoopie
"Trick's lucky to be alive sounds like!"- This is Mr.C's homecoming.
I'm sure going to miss these random characters.
Twin Peaks: The Return. The greatest season of all time
That synth is sooooo good. This is music that makes you wish you could be playing it. I would happily strum the jangly guitar the blonde is doing, or even that simple metronome like drum part over this....Ahh
This one is like a colour which paints mind.
That guy had some serious problems behind the wheel
true
There wasn’t anything wrong with Richard Horne that a lethal blast of electricity on a boulder wouldn’t cure.
"Trick's lucky to be alive sounds like" ~ love the way she says that :)
This is probably the 3rd best of the bang bang bar scenes, after the season opener and the Richard Horne segment. The Chromatics could make any scene amazing!
Agreed
Beautiful sound, love the bangs
Such a random out of context conversation, but the music in the background makes it feel so important. Gives me chills
Cannot stop listening to this. Fits the scene/series perfectly & is just a brilliant tune in its own right. Beautiful, I hope this version is on the released soundtrack.
Its so beautiful evening
I ❤ the way she says "Whoopee" 😊
Just magic
The best band on the show! I'm still surprised Lynch didn't get Lana Del Rey to play an episode- she's very Twin Peaks-y
Beautiful soundtrack is a lot of ( sound space synth ) here as I like, so cool.
Very nice, I love it.!!!
музыка в "Твин Пикс" бесподобна!
This is damn good.
Chromatics was the best part of the Twin Peaks revival ❤️
Pour moi une véritable révélation,j adore ce titre,j adore tt d ailleurs cette saison 3 de twinpeaks est phénoménal
Bloody love this!!!
THANK YOU for uploading this!! I used to fast foward the Episode 12 recording to the end just to watch/listen to this, and rewind/play it like 3-4 times to get my fix
youlikeluxury the song is on the soundtrack!
So beautiful omg 🥺
the way their hands move together is just so satisfying
Those strings!!!!!!! So moving and rich
gorgeous
Did you know Shakespeare created the word Gossip?
The chromatics are too good
I love it!
I haven't see the episode yet and this was already posted! Omg
Ana de la Reguera come through gurlll, latino power !
her face is such a Twin Peaks beauty.
Indeed!
Priscilha Leon she was great in Capadocia! One of my fav shows ever!
"My dad drinks bud, aah, king of beers"
Heineken? Fuck that shit!
PABST BLUE RIBBON....
the humming tone in the great northern is the same as the melody of this song... crazy
a dream within a dream xo
have a good one dr. jewel
This is a great scene but why in the world do I have this scene available on YT and not "James has always been cool"?
The best weirdest show of all time
Chromatics, Twin Peaks, Gilmore Girls... this really does have it all
Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up : )
Love you guys best dream pop band
I never got why he said "obviously you want one too" and gestured at her bottle, almost like the script indicated it should be nearly empty but it wasn't. Instead it comes off like he's implying she's a huge boozer.
No I think it's just good manners as he's going to the bar he's happy to buy his friends a drink too.
Ana de la Reguera en Twin Peaks 🖤🖤🖤
Si es verdad? Estaba dudoso si era ella je je je
johnny jewel is hot af
xoxo
Yeah he is!
I still can’t believe that the full vocal version of this song doesn’t exist
it's an instrumental cover of Desire's vocal version. Chromatics made this instrumental interpretation specifically for Lynch & the roadhouse. xo
Love them
Next level...
This song is awesome! Is this originally by them? I thought it was a different artist who sang it on the windswept album?
it's a desire song. david lynch asked chromatics to play it at the roadhouse after they filmed shadow. xoxo
Please, we need this version out. The Lp Windswept theme is gorgeous, but this instrumental version is stunning.
How could I get it?
Dani Dune it’s on the official twin peaks musical score soundtrack and vinyl
Jake Martinez Thanks, but I can’t find this tune in there :(
The Chromatics relase in this Shadow song only...
Love it💗💗
WHOOPIE
This is wonderful. Absolutely nothing to do with the story...so like Lynch.
bellissima!magic sound
I took out my leather jacket tonight...it 's been a while.
xo
This sounds like a chromatic version of tugs
Am I the only one getting melancholic vibes from this?
Amazing!
Ruth Radalet...... "I'll see you in my dreams...."
On another note,I wonder if it was Mr C who almost ran him off the road.
I like puppies too!
i loved these band in the bar scenes but who are these characters? they seem only there as micro parts for this scene..
chromatics & twin peaks. astronomical vibes
cool Cool COol COOl COOL!
Howdy!
I am mexico, this is oufull
Lol, didn't notice the Heineken until now.
