    I watched this entire series to see what I'm getting myself into. It can be done. Thanks for sharing your journey, the final product looks great!

    This is great, Blake. We're looking to install one for non-studio use at a new site. Timely!

      Awesome! Yeah it could be used as a home office or an additional bedroom etc… lots of ways to utilize this kind of thing.

    With the weed fabric.. how do you keep the weeds from. Growing o. The top of the fabric?

    Can you tell me what size building this is? Also, why you decided on a gravel foundation vs concrete?

    Very cool! Can I see a video with a full tour of inside the home studio?

    Hi Blake, Great video! Can you tell me why you chose doing the rocks instead of pouring concrete? And do you have any concerns for bugs or snakes getting inside?

    • @BlakeCalhoun
      @BlakeCalhoun  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Really just did the rocks as a weed barrier & for better water runoff - and it’s much less expensive than pouring a slab. Plus this kind of building doesn’t need that, although obviously there are custom versions you could do there. Seems most Tuff sheds are put just on regular ground (that’s actually what they’re recommended to me) or gravel beds. Haven’t had any issues with critters, but that could potentially happen but so far so good! :) Thanks for watching.

    Maybe use some old screw drivers laying around and as steaks?

    Looks good! Are you going to film the interior finish?

    • @BlakeCalhoun
      @BlakeCalhoun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes did a series of videos… Here’s the finish out th-cam.com/video/Fr-oK8oWbLA/w-d-xo.html.
      Also did the actual build, solar install, landscaping and more. Thanks for watching!

    Does it have to be 5 feet from fence for regulations?

      Every place will be different depending on the city or any HOA rules. Really just did it to have room to walk behind it.

    Hi Blake - what do you do for security on this? Keep your equipment safe.

    • @BlakeCalhoun
      @BlakeCalhoun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! :) I use surveillance cameras and a traditional home security system that monitors the door and windows. Most thieves are looking for tools in sheds, so they’d probably be surprised to find this stuff.

    I am willing to do this task but I have the problem of a slight slope

    • @BlakeCalhoun
      @BlakeCalhoun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably need to level it out with some dirt and/or more gravel. If you’re going with a Tuff Shed or similar building you can talk to them about making sure it’s precise.

    Gravel from Home Depot is expensive. I’d get it from a local landscape supplies company in bulk.

    Yon’t really need the pegs. Why are you even spending money for all this. Just put the shed on the grass/dirt. Waste of money.
