I need to know how the gaming performance is! As a few days back i upgraded to w11 and obviously i had to bypass the minimum requirements. Later on,i got horrible gaming performance. Games starts to lag after a few seconds.then reverted back to w10 through recovery and now everything is working perfectly as it performed before. My current config is i5 3rd gen+ 16gb 1600mhz ram+6gb gtx 1060 gpu.
I have a question, since you are already using a laptop, it means you already had an activated window. so, after installing windows from a usb will you lose all of your settings from installed apps and windows license?
Settings will be reset and if you have your product key digital licence your windows will be activated automatically no issues with that because it's built in BIOS

All this is in stark contrast to what linux desktops offer, you just update the guts, the face remains the same for which ever flavor of kernel and desktop environment you decide on.
