I feel that Ballora’s music box is much more sad and depressing like she was forced to stay here (which she was) and you can tell she’s been singing or playing her music box for awhile because it seems less confident then puppets and sadder. It has a eerie childhood feel to it that gets me every time. The longer you hear it the sadder it gets. You can tell that it sounds like there are fading hints of hope in the song at different parts. But the echoing music she plays from her music box just tells you how lonely it must be to be roaming around a empty void 24/7 and feeling the side effects of slowing going insane. It’s like being a blind cat being trapped in a box, you know that there are walls because you can sense them, you know that there’s someone with you because you can hear them and you know that there’s hope because you can feel it but your slowly loosing it. Being trapped slowly drives you mad as the feeling of intense loneliness and regret and sadness echoed through your head and you know that death will never arrive and the hate inside you grows every day for the person that put you there and you will kill everyone and everything to get you to them. You won’t and can’t trust anyone. You’re a empty shell of who you once were. *sorry for all the punctuation and other errors that might be in this. I feel like this song embodies the franchise well. It has an eerie atmosphere, yet it's beautiful. It's broken, yet it's well harmonized. Not only does it represent the suspense, dread, and curiousness when you play the game, but it also fits the storyline. We're given pieces of broken information, yet there's a complete story we don't know. The hint of dissonance with the enchanting melody is amazingly done. I really want to find the sheet music.

Sudden tears streamed down his pale cheeks dotted with freckles. He knew, he was aware of the restless soul who resided within this machine. He sobbed quietly as they waltzed throughout the dimly lit room. "M-mother-" He hiccuped. "Shh, Michael. Enjoy this moment," She hushed in nearly a whisper._ _Mother and son, they danced the night away._
