I love Winco!! The prices have been fairly stable too which I’m curious as to why they haven’t gouged their customers like every other store in my area?

Oh, Thyme Roasted Carrots came to mind when you mentioned big bag of carrots. I've been sick the past 2 weeks along with my dad and my son(we all caught the Vid), so since we have been isolating and I wasn't able to go to the store I've been getting creative in my cooking with the items I had in the house.
Oh no! I hope you’re starting to feel better! Have you ever grilled carrots in a foil packet with minced garlic, butter, salt and pepper? I love that you’re being creative with what you have!!
@@fancyonfourteen Thank you. Slowly getting there, just have a lingering cough and stuffy nose at the moment. I haven't tried grilling a foil packet of carrots, etc., yet it does sound delicious. I will have to try that. Tonight I tried a recipe I found online by doing a search of ground beef, rice, taco seasoning, and taco sauce. Even though I didn't have the poblano pepper the recipe called for I did have 1 small zucchini I managed to grow, and an onion I still had left in the kitchen, found a bag of corn in the freezer and managed to make dinner that turned out pretty good. You and your family are a blessing.
I know some people who work there and they have had nothing but good to say. Between the pay, great health insurance, winco gave them $$$ every few weeks to spend in store for groceries,& you can retire with the company fairly early. I don’t consider Winco as the next “Walmart 2.0” as you commented on another comment.
I didn't think of myself as a prepper, but I mostly shop for my pantry. And I have some rolls of toilet paper in a bathroom cabinet that are 23 years old. I just never get that far back into my stock before I top off the supply. I love Winco. I guess TH-cam recommended this video because I woke up way early this morning and checked to see when the store would open.
Yeah it’s really neat. Especially the aisles with the barrels full of flours and pastas and spices etc. We love to stock up and be able to pick our own amounts in bulk
It’s just so sad that winco doesn’t pay there workers well. Also winco makes there employees work 7 days in a row with no overtime. That’s how they keep the prices low. There turn over rate is high because of poor management. That’s the price of low cost. Winco is turning into Walmart 2.0
100% the only time you don’t work 7 in a row is if you have medical concerns or specific days your not available and then you are only scheduled around two days until you give in and tolerate their schedules. They do have the shelves better stocked than Walmart who fills empty spaces with random products without removing the incorrect shelf price label. I hate walmart for their price discrepancies. I will take walmart over any other stores.
