**trigger warning: this theory mentions suicide!!** the "chatroom 2,3" refers to a 2010 movie by the same title, in the movie a boy, william, decides to open a chatroom where he meets a few people. there is no real subject matter other than each member discussing their lives. the movie depicts the members to be conversing in a hotel room despite the fact that they are simply chatting behind their own screens. throughout the movie, the main character slowly becomes evil as he is a boy who resents his parents for his troubled past and as he hears the depressing or upsetting lives of the chat members he slowly convinces them to abolish any tools they have to get better (meds, emotional outlets, etc.) the main character begins to watch people commit suicide and enjoys it to the point where he convinces some of the chat members to commit suicide for him on camera and as the story progresses he slowly loses his power over the other characters as they realize what is happening. essentially, in this music video, the 7 boys enter the chat room (the museum) and as soon as they all fall into temptation RM/namjoon wants to see each of them grow into evil as he did before -- just like chatroom's main character william. jin, who in the past videos, has a job of saving the other members, and in this music video he mirrors the character "jim" from chatroom and is the first to realize the evil that rm/william is spreading. jin is troubled between going with the other members or trying to get out alive (however, he fears that if he does leave, he wont be able to save the others who are already too far gone). **i hope that helped, and i really enjoy your videos and would love it if you reacted to their short films from the bts "wings" era :))

so that's why when jimin and suga struggling inside the "sane" room, the video zoom in and showing outside where V enjoying the view and smile when he's jump down, insinuated he's enjoying them struggling with their sanity but got more excited if they actually lose their mind and fell into abyss. It's also showed he's waiting them down there, where the "poison" room is.
you also can see that he's wearing bathrobe while others wore more formal clothes. and i realize that V never IN the room except the museum. the museum is indeed the chat room, and other room is inside these boys mind. but none showed V's "mind" room. it's because he didn't struggled with his mind since he's the devil.

the whole idea for this mv was inspired by a book called “Demian” by Hermann Hesse where the main character Emil Sinclair is kinda torn between two worlds, the world of “illusion” that he knew as a child in his home living with his family and the “real world” that he starts to discover as he gets older when he becomes friends with Demian (one of his classmates). Here’s what I found online: “The novel refers to the idea of Gnosticism, particularly the god Abraxas, showing the influence of Carl Jung's psychology. According to Hesse, the novel is a story of Jungian individuation, the process of opening up to one's unconsciousness.” Also that part where the video stops and you hear RM reading something? That’s an excerpt from the book “He too was a tempter. He too was a link to the second. The evil world with which I no longer wanted to have anything to do." Essentially, the whole thing (including the book) is about questioning what society or some religions define as “good and evil”. I’m pretty sure Jin is supposed to represent Sinclair in the mv but i could be wrong. Sorry for the long explanation.
Also BTW: you said “sorry for pausing a lot i know you guys want to watch the video” actually we want your insight! we could go watch the mv whenever we want, but we love hearing your insight and all the details you notice so please don’t feel like you have to hold back if you notice something but don’t want to pause it. we’re here bc we want to hear what you have to say!

I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING IN THE SCENE WHERE JIN IS IN FRONT OF A MIRROR OMG HOW COME I NEVER REALIZED
We see that next to Seokjin is a white flower which represents goodness and life, but in the reflection of it, we see lavender. Lavender is the flower we see the most in cemetery, and so it represents death. I don't really know what it means in the end but it's definitely deep as shit...
This music video is on a whole other level-
And also there's a sentence above the mirror. I think Jordan could have translate it because it also may have meaning. I don't know German but used translator (oh, yes, google translator, my Dear Friend ;) )

It might mean that Jin sacrificed himself to save the others, he offered himself to the devil, told it that it should take him instead

The line "You must have chaos within you" might mean that Jin must consume all evilness that the other members had gone through in their system (more like sacrificing himself for them)
And "To give birth to a dancing star" means after giving himself to the devil, he will give birth to a dancing star; which means the others will be set free from the evil and be pure again
2:39 in that closeup of Jin, the painting is supposed to represent chaos, but look at the two doors on his left and right: the black one and white one, symbolizing the dark path and the light path. The chaos is the fight within oneself... so beautiful, this MV is just out of this world

The drink that RM is drinking in this mv is actually absinthe which has wormwood in it. It was used to induce visions and was often depicted with a green fairy. Sorry if you already knew this but its not actually poison. The drink itself was very bitter due to the wormwood so a cube of sugar was placed on a special spoon, called an absinthe spoon, and the alcohol was poured over the top to sweeten it a bit. It was very popular in France during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, especially among artists and writers during the bohemian era there. It is still widely believed that absinthe is a dangerous hallucinogenic and addictive drug though there is little scientific proof to back that up. It was banned in many countries due to the belief that it made people dangerously violent and "crazy". The drink has made a comeback in recent years but there are still restrictions in many places regarding the percentage of thujone, which is the active ingredient in the wormwood. Sorry for the long comment, I just thought the history of the drink was very interesting.

Yoongi was playing Buxtehude's passacaglia on the organ which was also mentioned in Demian. And there's a lot of colors in the MV and each of them represents something: Yellow- irrationality or fear, sometimes even depression, anxiety or suicide Violet- introversion, inferiority Pink- being physically or emotionally weak, lack of self worth, unrealistic expectation Orange- frustration and immaturity Red- defiance or even aggresion Black- opression, heaviness Blue- lack of emotions, unfriendliness Green- greed, envy and/or evil
Also we see Yoongi blindfolding Jimin, because in that moment Jimin started to believe what Yoongi had told him about giving in.But then Jimin starts struggling, trying to break free because he realises that he shouldn’t have listened to Suga’s “advice” but it is already too late. Not being able to see the truth anymore, he chooses the evil path. Also the scene of Jin having a baloon may mean that he's trying to recall happier times because you see baloons at parties or family events. And that's why Jin reaches for it but "his youth" isn't coming back. And as we see the guys running towards exit, Yoongi is pulling Jimin with him, which could indicate manipulation. And because they've choose the exit leading to the path of evil it is apparent that they've given in to the temptation.

I don't know if anybody mentioned this, but the door in Suga's room is always closed and the glass is shaped like angel wings, and then the doors open and V jumps of the balcony symbolizing falling from heaven and losing his wings.

i've been an army for 3 years now, and i can say that blood sweat and tears is and will always be my favourite mv, not just of bts, but my favourite mv period. it's just so aesthetically pleasing, so full of details, of messages, of art, bauty and the song matches so well. it's a masterpiece, at least for me, i can never get bored of watching it, it always leaves me in awe
I had promised myself in 8th grade that I'd never become a fan of a singer or a musical band.... because I thought it was nonsense.... fast forward 3 years later, I was learning Korean for fun, and decided to listen to korean songs to master the language. Blood,Sweat and tears was the third song I listened to, but also the first that I watched with subtitles, and I was mindblown- the literature, the art, the choreography and the presentation, everything being top notch..... and I broke my own promise and am now a proud ARMY 💜

Me understanding music videos because of his explainations: 👁️👄👁️
2:15 it is a painting of the fall of rebel angels where basically the good angels fight with the fallen angel. and as you could see from the left side of the painting, there are 2 doors right next to the painting. the left door has black color and it means that door leads you to the dark side. and the white door leads to the white side. jin is standing between those doors meaning he's still choosing the option.

All of the members has an important role to the story. It’s based off the book Demian by Herman Hesse, where they talk about the temptation of good and evil as said in the video.
What we know is that Jin plays the main role as Emil Sinclair, same with Taehyung as he plays Max Demian. Suga plays two roles. At first we see him playing Franz Kromer, he’s Emil’s bully through the story and is basically on the evil side. Then later in the mv, Suga also plays the giant ass piano, that’s the ‘pianist’ that talks about the god abraxas.
Jungkook plays the role of the good things, like god, school and just all good things. He holds himself (Emil) back from the temptation and wants to be good. Meanwhile, Jimin plays the role of the evil and what happens when falling into the pit of temptation. That’s why we see Suga covering Jimin with the blindfold and hand at the start, because he leads Jimin (Emil) Into the evil side.
(I’m not completely sure about who Namjoon and Hoseok play, but I can kinda describe of they’re presence)
Namjoon basically has the role of fear. We know that he starts on the good side, but eventually falls into the bad side because he knows he can’t overwin the bad alone as he’s set pressure on.
With all of Namjoon’s scenes, we see lots of colors. They have a big meaning of what ‘stage’ they’re in.
Red: defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain.
Yellow: Irritationaloty, fear, emotional fragility, depression, anxiety, suicide.
Orange: Deprivation, frustration, frivolity, immaturity.
Green:balance, harmony, positive, awareness.
Violet: introversion, decadence, suppression, inferiority.
Pink: physically weak, emotional deediness/unrealistic expectations, girlish, lack of will power and self worth.
Black: oppression, coldness, menace, heaviness.
Blue: coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness.
In the real world, these colors represent their emotional pain, whereas in the world in between, the colors represent what they want, the emotions that they want to feel. And these colors are tempting them.
That’s why we see Jungkook and Namjoon drinking or ‘liking’ the green color because they gave in since it’s a ‘forbidden’ color, as we know that all of these colors are just temptations, meaning that the evil tempts them them by making them believe that they could get what they want if they take the evil path.
Last, but not least we have Hoseok. He plays the role of innocence. As we see, he sits on a chair with water knee high. What we know is that he still has hope left, and doesn’t want to let the suicidal and bad thoughts get to him.
Later we see Hoseok shooting an arrow at Taehyung, meaning he tried to ward off the evil inside V (Demian)
Soooo yes, this was some random information about the story and they’re roles. I know it was hella long, but I was bored and I always like to leave a comment on videos about the story and such because I am currently reading Demian, though there is a lot more to the story and the characters because this is kinda like the sequel to the Most beautiful moment In life trilogy where almost everything starts. (There are also some hints to the story in the Dark and wild M/Vs, same with the skool luv affair)

wait i just realized how much Jordan loves to discover the story lies within the music video as well (let's be honest, most of us when watching BST for the first time, we missed A LOT of details to solve the BU riddle) but Jordan just pays attention to EVERY INCH of details, which is something i admire most of the editors a lot. Dude you should roll back the The Most Beautiful Moments in Life era. The storyline is chef's kiss
"Blood sweat and tears", "spring day" and "I need you" are masterpieces in music history, bts tell us alot in them without having to say a word, they just let the music videos talk
I find it the best when reaction videos have editors pause every scene to explain whatever element of film making/editing rather than just sit there watching the video to give their feedback in the end, I mean y even title it "editor reacts" then.

The chatroom you saw was from the movie, 'Chatroom' and the shots of where Suga and Jimin were standing on the glass is the same as a scene from the movie. Also, when Tae smirks towards the end, a scene like it happened in the movie also. The purple like filter also was a scene in the movie that the mv used. Other shots from the mv also referenced the film. So yes, that is what Chatroom meant. It was the people behind the mv crediting the film.

All i can say about bts' videos and songs - "I LOVE THEORIES THOUGH IT'S BRAIN DRAINING I LOVE HOW THEY INCORPORATE MEANINGS TO THEIR DEEP LYRICA AND CRAZY FILMING." I'm really hooked to their storylines.

The time has come
The quote that RM speaks is from a book called Demian, a German book written in the early 1900s. The story is a bildungsroman about loss of innocence through influence of someone else and this book was partially the inspiration of the entire Wings album films. There's many quotes taken directly from the book and the individual songs in this album build on each other as they each a unique story about each member's struggles, temptation, and confusion while growing up just as the main character of the book, Emil Sinclair, did. Check out the whole Wings story and other analysis to see all the fun allusions and motifs!! :))

V covered Jin's eyes, when V took off his hand Jin saw the statue with wings. For me, he (Jin) looks like he's being tempted, he looks like he's in a daze. Then when he kissed that statues lips came the scene where V is kneeling down, shirtless, and has wounds on his back which looks like wings being torn off from his back. Then when he (V) turned his head to look at the camera and smirked it gave me the illusion that "he's smirking cause finally Jin took the bait, the black wings that belonged to V passed down to Jin when he (Jin) submitted to temptation."

This music video and the rest of the album are heavily inspired by it. I recommend that you read it because once you do the connections are even more apparent and it makes everything 100x better :) The thought put into BTS' music videos is phenomenal.

If you do a quick Cliff Notes review of the summary of the novel it will make the things happening in the video so much more clear in your mind. Yoongi and Jimin tried to escape and In the Japanese version, Namjoon tried to poison Jungkook, which ended up throwing up, which then got rid of the poison out of him which is how he exscaped in 'On' but even though he was harming them, he wanted to save them, but couldn't.
Taehyung was taken over and grew dark wings, Jin knew it was also bad when he kissed the fallen angle. And Jin finally breaks away at the end. The white Lily's represent youth and he basically gets 'locked away'

That's not how the official story goes. You should read The Notes or the Save Me webcomic. It's where the whole story is laid out. The last bangtan alternate universe related mv that was released was Fake Love. ON is not included in the story. Taehyung's wings was also just a symbolism. It did not happen in the real story. Jimin is not Yoongi's first love. His first love is the piano. Jimin's pair (closest friend who is the key in "saving" him) is Hoseok. Their backstories are connected. Meanwhile the character paired up with Yoongi is Jungkook. Yoongi is the hyung he painted in Begin mv. Jungkook looks up to Yoongi so much. In the story, the characters needed to get paired up with the right person or else they can't be "saved". At worst, if a character gets paired up with the one whose energy is opposite to his, it'll bring out the worst in him. Jimin and Yoongi are exactly one example of opposite pair. That's why if you noticed in the other mvs like fake love, yoongi is associated with the fire element while jimin with the water element (as newbies jokingly say, Yoongi is the fire boy while jimin is the water tub boy). The two cancels out each other just as how water and fire. I've learned in one of the comments here that the intro is foreboding in the way that the members are paired up with their opposites. Yoongi's impending demise was symbolized by that little scene where he hit jimin but jimin did not fight back. If it was jungkook who would come running to Yoongi before he burns his flat and get killed by fire, jungkook will fight back yoongi and insist on stopping him of his self-sabotage. Every time the "saving" fails and one member dies, jin will have to repeat april 11 all over again. The only way to beat the repeating time line is to prevent all their deaths. At one point each of them found themselves their own love interests. Yoongi had girlfriend who was also into music and plays the guitar. Jungkook saw this girl busking at the hospital where he was confined. Meanwhile, jungkook had a crush who was also a patient of the same hospital but sadly she died before he could confess. Jimin and Hoseok on the other hand were having feelings for one girl, the one who was with them at the Just Dance studio. Jin's flower is the legendary "esmeraldo" which he desperately grew for the woman he loves. It is based on the story called the legend of smeraldo. This is also the basis of the imagery of the song The Truth Untold. In the story, there was this hideous nobleman who hid himself in his castle out of insecurity for his outer appearance. A pauper woman went into stealing flowers in his garden for her to sell. As days went on the nobleman fell in love with the girl but couldn't show himself because he was not confident of his looks. So instead he decided to grow a never-before-seen flower he called esmeraldo which would be the most beautiful in the world as his tribute to the girl. Unfortunately, the girl died before she could lay her eyes of the flower. Same thing happened to jin's love interest. The girl wanted to see the mythical smeraldo so jin's surprise for her was to give an smeraldo flower and that would be the time he will confess but sadly the girl was hit by a car. The smeraldo became forever a symbol of his frustrated love and uncurable longing for the girl that's why in fake love jin was still holding on to it and protecting it no matter what. The girls seemed to be just an Interlude to the whole story. But showed how they become even more miserable because of their failure in their relationship with the opposite sex. It brings them back to the original goal of fixing oneself first before anything else so they can successfully prevent their deaths and finally reach the promised April 12. You can at least read the Save Me webcomic so you'll know the first part of the whole Bangtan Universe story. You can quickly finish it in one or 2 sittings.

I've been an ARMY since I need U and did follow some of their theories but because somehow I found myself too caught up with it I stop. I read some here and there just to keep myself updated and some would say "educated". Then I tried to understand the Save me Webtoon but I couldn't understand at all and I find myself getting emotional easily every time I read theories(idk why dont ask me) so I feel like I need to read only when I'm ready. Wait, I don't think this is actually what happened.
Firstly, Jimin is not Yoongi's first love, his first love is the piano (it's pretty clear from the video, the lyrics and even some interviews), they're not even paired in the Bangtan universe.
Yoongi is paired with Jungkook and Jimin is paired with Hoseok.
And, about the following part of the theory, I think you're a little confused 😂

What I thought is, in the beginning you see Jin looking at a painting of lucifer falling from heaven, and later V is shown jumping of a balcony and with no more wings. Soo maybe V is the fallen lucifer and stature and the reason why Jin is so fascinated or intrigued by the painting is, because he's reminded of V?

Mkay so after reading 17346782827 fan opinions about the mv i got this:
The poem, "He too was a tempter, he too was a link to the second. The evil world with which i no longer wanted to have anything to do." is referring to V who tempted them into doing bad, V's the tempter and link to the second. When Rap Monster says link to the second he means V was a link between good and bad. V represents a fallen angel in the mv, he basically drags them down from good to bad along with himself. At first V wasn't an angel, but then he ended up becoming blind from the right path and committed suicide without the others knowledge, after that he is a fallen angel. He then gradually yet slyly attempts to make the others do the same so they too would be like himself.
I think the reason for V's actions is because in a lot of christian related religions, once one has done suicide they can no longer go to heaven. In other religions after death you go straight to heaven or hell, And considering how V did suicide, he would of gone to hell and become a demon/fallen angel.
