October 15, 2014 "It is with our deepest sorrow that we have to inform you of the death of our beloved tenor singer, Norman Wilson. He went to be with Jesus today, October 15, at... apporximately 2:30 pm. Norman was doing one of the things that he loved the most when God called him home - bear hunting with his buddies. It appears that he had a heart attack. Those with him say that he died peacefully and with a smile on his face. Please keep Norman's wife, Kaye, his family, and the Quartet in your prayers."

Went to Brother Norman Wilson's funeral service at Trinity Baptist in Asheville this afternoon. My my, what a home going celebration! To get a sense of old Western North Carolina mountain spiritual and musical heritage, watch this. The service actually doesn't start unitl around 35:00. Norman and I were among Etowah 1952 graduating class. We moved near 1942, so had know him all those years. His 1/2 sister Geneva Curto was our 12th grade home room teacher.Her lst yr. teaching, Will always recall her saying the 'Walk on walk on thru the storm ' will be carried well with Pauline up front(B) Norman in back (W) ,Hers will carry all in as His voice will bring all together as we sing and walk in for stage .He married one of my older brothers daughters.
I am extremely proud to have met these men when they did a concert in June at Otto, Arkansas.
brother Norman is getting a taste of heaven that's going to a glad reunion day to see all of our love one's who has gone on to glory
