This has been one of my favorite songs from the seventies. Thank you for making learning this song easy for a 66 year old, who wish he joined a band in the seventies.
I liked that you go pretty slow and explain each chord as you go. There are plenty of lessons that go fast and are not geared for us hard learning and challenged individuals. :)
This was my first video of Tony. Excellent lesson, would not change a thing! I liked/subscribed and will be following this channel. Thanks for the video.
Just a little practice time and I'll be able to play this timlees classic, now in these times when the last line of the song strikes more than ever ,,Stop the war!''
Hi Tony, It's a great lesson with a wonderful technique. I think you should reconsider two things: 1) The picking on the G.. Chromatic run up is correct. Then you have (with fingers on G-chord) picking string 6,5,4,3,1,3,2,3,6 before going to A-minor But the last 4-5 notes don't sound like the song. Rather (with fingers on G-chord) picking string 6,5,4,3,2,1,2,3 (particularly) the last 3 note picks sound closer to the track before going to A-minor 2) Playing the chords instead of muting them during the verses. But it's the best tutorial on this song out there! Thanks.
GREAT LESSON & SOUNDING(!) GUITAR, you should start the lesson giving us an idea of the whole song, and any details about recording (Pickup, miked, Interface ....) Grettings fro germany
Nice presentation, but with one correction if you want to exactly copy the original Ten Years After record. On the intro arpeggio it's a regular G chord with the B string open instead of fretted at the 3rd fret, and when you pick the strings it's an open B not fretted at the 3rd fret (which is an E note). If you listen very closely to the original recording you'll hear the difference.
Great lesson! I guess James Hetfield from Metallica could have been inspired in this song when he wrote the interlude (slow part) of Master Of Puppets.
With all due respect, get rid of the open... just start with the content, we do not want to wait around for the content to begin. This is youtube not the networks. You do a fabulous job teaching so just teach. The audio is great, you are a great teacher! Good luck with your efforts! I love the depth of field studio setting. Nice

6 years ago and I am still learning at 66! WTH! Thanks.
I liked that you go pretty slow and explain each chord as you go. There are plenty of lessons that go fast and are not geared for us hard learning and challenged individuals. :)
Exactly. Most TH-cam guitar teachers go way to fast for the most of us learning how to play a particular song.
Yes!!👏
Thank you! That was very clear. I like the way you play it in sections. Got it down pretty good in a short period of time.

Thanks.
Sorry, I left out the last 6...
Should be 6,5,4,3,2,1,2,3,6 before picking the a-minor
thank you Great
Awesome
Such an underrated song
I worked on this song today with my guitar teacher.
Very easy to follow. I could play it up to speed by the end if the video. Thank you!

Skip to 9:48 for the strumming pattern
Lovely guitar you’re using. What is it please ?
Thanks Tony! Which model Martin is that? Looks like a GPC16 but has different fret markers.
please tutorial..solo lead...this song..thx

Nice lesson thanks,

Great lesson! I guess James Hetfield from Metallica could have been inspired in this song when he wrote the interlude (slow part) of Master Of Puppets.
9:28
On the C chord it’s strings 4,2,3
3:08
Please say the strings by E,B, G, D, A, E. i cant follow with the trings being numbers. thanks.

This is actually filmed for broadcast on cable TV, not for TH-cam.

Bro his hands are soo meaty I can’t see shit😂🤣 no offense this helped me a lot but im just joking the 🙃
The A major chord sounds better to me. Just sayin
I only have half-(an) hour for lunch,Hey I have a go back button (rewind) DON'T waste time
I hate the 4 finger G it sounds better doing it the right way with 3 and not holding the B string
3rd 1 3rd 2 3rd
Timing wasn't right on the arpeggios.
Hi there I checked that timing out going into the b7 was a bit off. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and point this out. Take care :)
Hey look. It's Joe Pesci everyone.
You're making me feel a little bit dizzy.
