- Puja Tomar turned in the performance of a lifetime to silence the crowd inside Istora Senayan in Jakarta. Going up against surging Indonesian heroine Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol, “The Cyclone” showcased improved grappling offense and defense across three exhilarating rounds, and came close to a finish at the end of the first round. In the end, two of the three judges saw the bout in the Indian star’s favor, giving Tomar her first win on the global stage.

I don't know why people are so surprised at Tomar's win. She dominated the first and the second round. Was a close match though, that we all have to admit.

Vins ICS - I think Priscilla clearly won the last round. Priscilla very strong in grappling and Tomar is clearly not. The first 2 rounds Tomar did better. I’m not taking sides but it was very close fight. Priscilla failed on arm bar and choke otherwise Priscilla would have won!!
@@Luvly2938 I think the last round only looked that way because Tomar had decided to defend and escape that exchange. From what I saw in this fight in the clinch and Priscilla's earlier fight I think forcing her into grappling was a good move. I don't think the last position felt as dangerous as it looked(she had her chin tucked and her hand braced against Priscilla's arm), I think Tomar just felt too little urgency to escape. More a strategic failing than a technical one.

Priscilla kurang agresif.. serangannya juga sdkit yang kena. Pas di bawah musuh juga masih bisa counter attack. Memang kalah poin. Tapi saya bangga semangat dari priscilla. Terus berlatih pukulan dan kuncian saat di bawah.

I think that last position felt a lot safer than it looked. Tomar did escape in the last seconds, I think she probably lacked a sense of urgency at that point. Aside from that, I appreciated Tomar's clinch work; especially after seeing Priscilla shut down by similar standing takedown attempts against Jihin Radzuan. Tomar managed to force Priscilla out of her prefered style and into grappling, which I think Tomar dominated even more than the judges did.

Pada setiap pertandingan Hertati L.Gaol saya lihat celana yg dikenakan terlalu sempit sehingga gerakannya tidak begitu bebas, lain dgn lawan2nya, celana yg digunakan agak longgar sehingga gerakannya tidak terhalang. Siapa yg bertugas menata kostumnya Hertati supaya di perhatikan untuk pertandingan berikutnya ya.
