    Great info.
Expecting follow up videos on torsion spring.thank you..

Excellent, thank you, I am one of those engineers from another realm (electrical) looking for exactly this sort of instruction, well done and thanks again. PS - Something that really tickled me a few years ago was finding out that the resonant frequency of a coupled spring and mass uses the same formula as that of an inductor and a capacitor (fo = 1/(2pi(LC)^0.5) - physics is cool.

I’m glad you found it useful. I’d like to get into electronics in some way. I keep playing with an auduino but only for basic stuff. I will upload some new videos soon.

How do I contact someone for help with torsion spring on a prototype?

Seek out a manufacturer or check their website for similar springs to the one you are trying to design

Thanks but too many assumptions made of what I already know to make this useful or understandable. Tell this to a 10 year old first and get their feedback, then edit and do it again until they understand it fully....then post it on a public forum.

Thank you for the feedback. This series is more aimed at engineers looking to learn how torsion springs work. In these videos I'm mainly just laying out the basic calculations for mechanically minded individuals to take and build upon by researching relevant international design standards.

Nobody cares smartass, comeback when you've won a noble peace prize.

I would have thought that most engineers (other than first yer students) would already know this level of calculating these things. Perhaps you should write a textbook.

Thank you. It’s here for anyone looking for some revision. I’ve found that engineering is a life long learning process. We’re all at different stages with different specialties. It’s nice to share the knowledge where possible Gerry
