What actually is ... Mechanical Engineering? | Studying

We use developments from mechanical engineering every day: starting with the coffee machine in the morning, the bus to university or the fitness wristband during sports. And mechanical engineering even has an influence where you wouldn't expect it: Or would you have thought that a material like a titanium alloy is used in medical technology as well as in aircraft engines?
Our video shows examples of how diverse the disciplines within mechanical engineering are: From materials science to aerospace engineering, automotive engineering to the fascinating topic of acoustics.
In the video, our students talk about what mechanical engineering means to them, what role computer science and electrical engineering also play and how they are already involved in developments during their studies. Thanks to Lena, Joel, Rayan, Eric, Steffen, Marc and Dion!
About the degree programme:
