Thank you for your sweet birdies. I always enjoying watching your videos just before bed. Your voice is so calming and hands mesmerizing. So relaxing. Then I get up all excited to try something new. I think I may have a little more painting time this year. Granddaughters are in-person at school (so far), so more time for me! The last year and 1/2 I have turned into a kindergarten and first grade teacher! Who knew! Praying our littles will be protected from this horrid virus. And I see you are almost to 10 K subscribers, Yeowza! That's exciting and something I think you will be celebrating very soon. Blessings Diane....
Thanks for your lovely message Denise! So glad you are going to have a bit more time for yourself once the kids are back to school - it's been a very difficult time I know for lots of grandparents so fingers crosssed! Have fun with the birdies! And thanks for noticing our subscribers are going up - I can hardly believe we are nearly at 10K !!!!
I love watching the entire process. It's refreshing to hear you don't like a spot and your remedy for fixing it. I also like hearing your thought process. I enjoy the final painting even though at points I'm not sure. ❤️🐣
Diane - you made me chuckle at the beginning when you were looking through the magazine - "Oh, he's nice."...I agree with Didi - you are fun to watch, I love that you explain your thought processes when you are painting. Thank you again for sharing. Again - like Didi - Love from Canada
Diane, I love videos in which you show the process beginning with your sketches. It's just one of the most therapeutic things for me. I instantly begin a state of calm. Your artistic hand, gentle voice describing the process, and the strokes of paints combined, seriously is a zen experience. You are the best! Tamsin, as always, your video talent and music selection are perfect!
My 208 th. What a great composition and a nice tutorial painting from photos . I increasingly getting healed from perfectionism. Thanks for again a moodlifting ( I am mostly in a good mood, but watching makes me feel more happy. ) birds video.😊wim
I really appreciate that you show videos where you struggle to get the outcome you're looking for. I've been away from painting for two weeks and am finding it difficult to get back into the groove. It reassures me that even the professionals struggle from time to time. Hope your heat breaks and you can find some relief!
Hi Robin, I'd missed you! The discipline of 'having' to paint every day is certainly very good for me. I was always finding excuses and reasons not to go to the studio. Now I am painting regularly and wish I'd done this years ago. Oh well! The weather has gone from hot to cold and wet so we have autumn on the doorstep. And yes, mistakes happen all the time. I don't mind admitting it! xxx
@@DianeAntoneStudio Wow - your weather seems to be taking you from one extreme to the other! I've been away from painting because I had hip surgery awhile ago and my studio is on the second level of our house. But it has been great motivation to keep my physical therapy going so that I can once again reach my paints! I'm back at it now. Have a great day.
Hi Robin, haven't seen you on the channel for a while and I was thinking about you and hoping that your recovery was all behind you and you were painting again ! Looking forward to hearing back from you soon!
I love this painting. I like the first color that you put the middle bird better. The yellow with a darker shading but that's just my opinion. Yellow being one of my favorite colors probably had something to do with it. It's beautiful just like it is.
I, too, love painting whimsical birds.. The expressions on these so captivating, the little one, especially charming. Keep cool! It’s nasty hot and humid here as well. Thank you.
Your middle guy turned out adorable. I am taking the time to draw and watching you has helped tremendously. I appreciate the way you take us from start to finish. I am learning the process is not as difficult as my mind was making it. Once again another great tutorial!
Diane, I think your artwork is amazing. I have learned so much from watching your excellent videos. It’s pure joy to watch you create, every step of the way. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us. Love from Canada ❤️
Thank you so much! So glad that you are enjoying the content and I really appreciate your kind words! Glad also to be reaching out to good old Canada - my second home!
Hello Diane ! I'm an enthusiastic new sub lol so glad to be part of your journey in life and watercolor. As an aside , I love the way you have your wash tape arranged in your tape dispenser. Lol. The birds in your journal are absolutely beautiful 😍 ✨
I enjoyed following your entire thinking and drawing process prior to even painting. This was helpful to me. Love the ethereal little birds! Thank you! Lovely background music, too.
I have an iPhone 12 Pro and haven’t had any problems yet. So sorry you are having trouble in the heat. I live in US- southern states and it is 80-100 degrees with upwards of 100% humidity with no problems. Maybe that will help. Love all your practice too today!
@@DianeAntoneStudio That makes sense. Thank you for all you are doing to produce the videos. My little 4 year old is loving watching with me and when I am sketching too she is wanting to draw with me (like last night). Even my boys (11 & 13) are watching too and wanting to try watercolor. My 13 year old sat with me the other day to explore watercolor and really enjoyed it too. If I wasn’t doing it, they might not have ever even considered it. I tried including other art mediums but they weren’t really interested until now with watercolor. Appreciative hugs from across the seas 💕
Hi Diane.. I absolutely adore these little guys! thank you for such a wonderful video .. you do a fabulous job.. I wanted to ask you.. do you do any videos with water colour pencils? I was wondering if you might do some projects with the pencils.. just a thought.. best.. take good care! Judy Conn
You are so welcome! And that's a great idea, I will do more. I think I have one or two where I dabble in the pencils, but I'd love to go further with them soon. All the best to you x
Hi Patricia, it's a sketchbook from Viviva, they say it is 100% cotton, made in Sweden apparently: you can get it here:amzn.to/3t4qR0R I like the paper myself.
Your little birds have their own little personalities. I just love them. You bring them to life. ❤️
I love these birdies! They seem to be having an important conversation. 😍
LOL, they do, don’t they!

Me neither!!! Painting to order on video is never 100% predictable! Glad you're enjoying them however!
Very cute! Birds sell well.
LOVE, love your birds!!!!
Thanks so much!

I'm so glad! I worry that people might find the sketching boring, so I'm glad to hear that you find it calming. That's really good to know!
Couldn’t say it better.
Fun little birds..!!

Thank you so much 😀 I enjoy your positive and supportive comments Pat! It's all a process - sometimes the end result is not what you 'hope' for!
You make it look so easy, Diane. You have really helped me to relax and enjoy your tutorials so much! Love birds!

Thank you Karen!
So so cute! I honestly like the way you teach and show us how to paint. These birdies are adorable, guess what I will be trying out soon 🙂🙂

That's good to know Trisha. It mostly happens when I'm using it for long periods of time filming videos, when it gets all hot and bothered!

Diane, how about a tutorial using a sword, dagger, stripper brush?
I will work on that idea Barbara!
What kind of paper is in the book you are using for these paintings?
