    The Pilot Custom 823 is a gift and a curse… gift because it IS a gorgeous pen that writes excellent. The curse is that it’s Sooooo hard to beat, you really don’t need another pen.

      I agree. I ended up selling some of my pens because of the 823, which I use 9/10 times.

    I love this pen!! It my favorite of all pens, but I love my Platinum Stone too 😂 I could never choose between my children. I adored your intention for your notebook, I feel like I should do this too. My notebooks carry so much of my feelings and deserve all the respect, I would be lost without them 🥰

      I love setting intentions! And the 823 is also my favorite 💕

    I love this pen but I wouldn’t suggest removing the rubber washer if you wish to prevent ink burps or leaks while traveling via air flight. The washer is designed to prevent ink flow so if you wish to write longer than a page, simply unscrewing the top is more than sufficient.

      Thank you for the suggestion! So far I’ve only removed the washer on my black 823 which was my first and I was unaccustomed to opening up the back and it works perfectly fine, but I don’t take it on airplanes. I’ve kept the washer in my other two pens

      @@sunshineissexy great to hear. I learned the hard way earlier this year after I woke up during a red eye with shirt stained in blue ink!

    Should I go for an 823 in medium or fine ? Is the nib available separately anywhere?

    • @sunshineissexy
      @sunshineissexy  ปีที่แล้ว

      no, I don't think they sell replacement nibs. I would go with what you normally write with! I use a lot of lighter inks and I prefer broader nibs so they're more visible on paper

      @@sunshineissexy thanks for the reply, I'll go with fine as I usually use fine nibs and have a smaller font and tight handwriting.

      @@sunshineissexy offtopic! Could you please tell the ink you used in the Mary Oliver note in your book video! Thanks for the excellent videos. Happy new year. 😊

      @@dashsunil thats a difficult question, I read many Mary Olivers! Do you know which book it was?? It could have been any of the following inks: sailor 280, sailor 143, pilot iroshizuku fuyu-syogun, Diamine ancient copper, sailor manyo nekoyanaki, and lastly Pilot Iroshizuku ina-ho

    Wow...the fine is a BIGGGGGGGGG Jump in difference, that's...kind of good but not so good xD it's not a consistent upgrade in thickness. If you have a Sailor MF, could you post a picture or do video comparing the MF sailors to the 823 Fine? I do like Sailor's MF, but I have Pilot's E95S in fine, the thickness is great, but the nib is toothy since it's a Fine. I want to get a fine 823, but don't want it to be toothy, so I am leaning towards a Medium based on what you've shown here. Thanks for sharing!

    • @sunshineissexy
      @sunshineissexy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, it’s very very different to the medium! The fine isn’t toothy, it’s still pretty smooth but yea mediums a great choice! Ohh I didn’t think about that, comparing it to the sailor 🤔
