AI assists to reimagine Chrono Trigger in this unofficial fan concept trailer. Chrono live action or Chrono remake, which do you prefer? This is *STILL* arguably the single greatest game squaresoft released along with Final Fantasy 6. I will die on that hill.

I was the only friend in my circle of peeps that had / has this game. I grew up thinking it was an obscure game until I got older. It is one of my top favorite game games along with 7th saga. I miss my childhood 😭❤️🎉

Kind of irrelevant but not. I'm an art teacher and played the song "Corridors of time" on loop for my 4th grade students today while they were making art. They were into it and wanted to play the game after I told them how amazing the soundtrack was.
I played Chrono Trigger when I was 14, now 43 if I live long enough to see a remaster of this game as good as the original, my life would be complete

I would fight John Wick to play a high quality, fully budgeted Chrono Trigger.
With dragon quest updated graphics art style like this. From the music/art style I would gladly spend forever exploring every nook and cranny of the city. One thing I was sad about with Dragon Quest 11 is that with all the beauty it had to offer, I wished there was much more exploration and depth. If AI can somehow expand upon these games without ruining the quality keeping same art direction as Akira Toriyama it would be heaven. Square Enix needs to get a good team together, well-paid artists, engineers, and leaders who truly care about the games they release. The only thing that scares me is that publishers will use AI as a way to save money vs producing high-quality products, rather than using it to make something exceptional. But from a company standpoint, that just makes no sense. Any game that has always focused on quality has almost always came out ahead, until they use that momentum to release garbage low-effort games.

Chrono Trigger still holds up to this day, but a Dragon Quest XI style remake is the dream for many.
I never played an RPG ever in my life and this was my introduction to them. Only got it because of the Dragon Ball art. Almost cried when Frog met his old friend and got the Muramasa blade.

I'm 43 now and I never imagined there will ever be a final fantasy 7 remake. And now i'm hoping praying they will come out with a chrono trigger remake!

I feel like this is missing that signature Toriyama style. This is cool and awesome looking, but I cannot be the only one to think that Toriyama's art is just as big of a part in this game as the music, gameplay, and characters.
As much as I respect Akira Toriyama, I am not against a change of art style.
If Chrono Trigger Is Not Ever Going To Get A Remake I Wish Square Enix Would At Least Release And Sell A Physical Remaster Of PlayStation 1 Version Of Chrono Trigger For Nintendo Switch,PlayStation 4, And PlayStation 5.

I am 42. I was 13 when I laid my hand on that absolute masterpiece in France. The game was import. You needed and adaptor to play it on the EU SNES. Felt like playing a secret game. Couldn't speak English, had to literally decipher it. The music is still haunting me.

It is crazy to think a game that i played as a kid was going to still be popular today. I knew it was special even back in the 90s. It was so good bc the freakin' dream team developed it: Akira Toriyama, Nobuo Uematsu, Yūji Horii, Kazuhiko Aoki, and Hironobu Sakaguchi. All these guys are legends!!!!

Trailers back in the day were like this and the actual gameplay was just 2D sprites of 12 polygon characters.
They need to fully remake CT and FF6 with the rebirth treatment before I die. I'm 42 so I still have years left. Make it happen!
I was born in 1985, and Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time, with Final Fantasy VI a close second. I absolutely fell in love with Chrono Trigger's characters and world as a child, and for years as a kid, a particular drawing of Crono was my profile picture across the Web.

My two favorites right there. When I was a kid I almost cried when I beat FF6 because I was sad it was over. And I still listen to the soundtracks!

I love the combat they've done with the FF7 remake, so getting a Chrono Trigger remake with that kind of combat and gameplay would be AMAZING

2004年頃、"Chrono Trigger: Resurrection"という同人ゲームもスクエニの警告で製作停止
権利関係の障害が多数あるのかクロノシリーズの精神的続編は多いので
そっちで楽しんでくれって言っているように感じるよ
The people at square/square-enix have refused to do a remake of this game going back to the ps2 from what I can remember and Don't take this the wrong way, but if a fan using some ai programming can produce something this incredibly beautiful, I don't know why the full team at square enix couldn't do a full game with probably a lot less time and effort and I think they would make a lot more money on it than they may believe. The comment was not meant to insult or upset the creator of this video, quite the opposite, This made my heart pulse, the pro team would simply have easy access to a lot more funding for computer equipment, and the most updated programing as well as a large production team that would reduce time and effort. They would just have to avoid trying to change or "update" the plot because we've seen what happens when older movies/games have been "Updated" recently. Keep up the amazing work and hopefully it inspires the game companies to give back to the fans.
i know people give alot of shit about Ai but one thing i think its great at is this
a seed for concepts
it can attempt to fill in the world with its themes, environments and other aesthetics
and put that idea into the hands of actual creatives to really make the world feel like a real place
Problem with this is that the AI ignore Akira Toriyama (RIP) designs.

But a starting point. I get it would be better to have an entire team of artist to make up every single aspect of the art direction from the world and aesthetic
But I think using AI as a tool could help in that regard to fill in the gaps in that collective art direction

You’ve got it entirely backwards. The actual creatives already have the seeds of concepts. That’s what it means to be a creative. The machine is there to refine the pattern already established. It does grunt work at the end, not idea work at the beginning.

Never has a game emotionally touched me in a way indescribable by words. The time and the place in which in was released and the way in which it impacted me will stay with me for the rest of my life. And now a father I patiently wait until my little ones are big enough to enjoy this masterpiece

I don’t know that it’s supposed to be Lavos. I’m betting they’d have tried for his shelled form with the AI as that would have been easily identifiable.
I think, with the addition of those mechanical parts that they were trying for the final form of Zeal that you encounter atop the Black Omen. This would also make some sense as it would leave Lavos as the only main character left out of the montage.

Amazing. I wanted to see an angry crazy Queen Zeal too. Every time I play it I feel the party is a lot less integral than we think it is, it’s just Janus’ master plan to avenge his family and maybe go back home.

Eh… Toriyama’s art style doesn’t translate well to lifelike 3D like FFVIIR. I’d prefer a style like Secret of Mana or Super Mario RPG remakes.

I am amazed at the quality of work that can be produced with Artificial Intelligence as well what was done for Chrono Trigger. This type of technology is unbelievable especially for gaming.
Chrono Trigger deserves to be remade for sure, like Final Fantasy 7. I played Chrono Trigger when I was like 6 years old and it was awesome. This game and Xenogears were like peak tier back in the day. They both deserve a remake, along with some other titles I played.

I got this with my Super Nintendo along with some other classic RPGs for my 7th birthday in 1995. This game and the music holds a place in my heart that no other piece of art ever will. A true masterpiece. I wish I could live long enough to play a remake but I'm glad I got to see this at least. This is fucking up incredible.
