Been setting this to a random point, hitting play, and falling to sleep many nights now. May yours, and all others’ bodhicitas be luminous and everlasting!
It is amazing that a jewel as bright as this is so rare. May all who come across this recording be blessed by its skillful exposition of the dharma, and recognize their own Buddha nature as being everpresent in all sentient beings.
This discourse, so calmly spoken, has the ability to penetrate so deepl that time evaporates, and that very presently, Buddha or the Tagathata Himself willfully operates in me, assuring me that things will work our perfectly,
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏 I am so happy to find this (still not very advanced as you can see…) I am amazed to see no comments. 6 hours of recording ! And it’s very well read. I am French and I understand every word in spite of my very poor skills in English. On my language, there is very poor material on the Theravada. I hope you are having a good life.
I had no idea. Thank you for mentioning it. There are two solutions. One is to subscribe to youtube in a way that is ad free. (sorry). The other option is completely free, and that is to go to the bandcamp page where I have this same recording, and either stream or download it to listen to. I am just starting my journey and could use some help. "Desire is the root of suffering". I feel it is greater than that. Not "desire", for that speaks of things you do not have and is a projection into the future. Is a better word "devotion" which can be for what one has or not, past or future. I struggle to live in the present now. I was never much to live in the past, but quieting the mind against the twin sufferings of the future, worry and fear, is quite the task for me. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

These very great teachings are another very great proof that there is only one God! and that therefore there is only one religion! indeed! which is God's religion! since the main principles here are also the same as the main principles found in Christianity, in Judaism, in Islamism, in Zoroastrism, in Hinduhism, in Taoism and all other important world religions that when are well studied one could also recognize in all of them that there is only one God! which is the same for all of us! and even though there might seem to be as if there were many ways in the search of God in the end there is only one way! which is God's way! Therefore we also have to remember what this great Master very well said: "You have to follow the good "Principle"! and not an specific teacher!
@@SiriusYogi certainly they do not mention a God! yes! that's true, but they do understand that God is everywhere! and in everyone! but we still have to search for it very deep inside of us! and to do that we all have to understand very well certain main principles! and then we also have to follow those main principles! and once again those main principles are still the same ones as in Christianity and in the other religions that I just mentioned before! which is quite obvious since there just couldn't be any contradiction in the same way to be enlightened! just as where there is perfect light there is no darkness! and where there's just darkness there's no light! therefore it's always everyone's decision which way to go! it's just as simple as that! therefore as I already said before: This great Master was also quite right on telling us: "follow the good principles! not an specific teacher"! which is also what St.Paul told us in the "Holly Bible"! for example! and also there is also "meditation" in those other religions! as another example!
@@SiriusYogito be stricter, not a creator God 😁 but Christians often think of God as an old man in the sky, which is obviously not the case. God may be considered to be Nibbana.

This is one of the best fictional works I've ever heard. I'm surprised that it is not more popular in classic literature. Thank you!
It isn’t fiction but is very popular in classical literature (The Pali Cannon).
You're making a difference. This...makes a difference.
Thank you
Wow. Thanks.
Great video. Thanks for the good reading of it.

Great thank you. But the ads at every 5 mins can be a little annoying. Maybe every 20mins? 30mins rather?
The ads every 3 minutes…

Is this all of Pali canon? Or there is more to it
There are two more parts. One with al the monestic rules, and one with commentaries from later monks.

Yes, I agree. The ultimate is not fathomable with brains. It is known and experienced directly by the wise.
So the flood was of desire and not water. That makes some sense. Ha ha ha
I would have watched the entire video but a commercial every five minutes turned me away.
