Hey, thank you! I have another Nova coming next weekend. It might take me a while to put together a video (I have a factory job too). But watch for it.
Would you know the paint code to the 1970 SS Nova interior dash /glovebox/black color code and is the windshield cowl the same color code? Just replaced the cowl and want to spray both. Thanks@@m-poundhotrods3338
I'm not the guy to talk to about color codes and colors. It just so happens that a 70 came to the shop a few weeks ago. So I looked for any sign of the original interior color (it's gutted). The dash board had been covered in primer so I kept looking. The strip that goes between the windshield and headliner is still there and is obviously blue. This indicates a blue interior from the factory. If I found enough evidence that the car originally had a black interior I could just send you the code from this car's trim tag. But the code for a blue interior wouldn't help you a bit. Is your trim tag missing?@@Supanova70
Hey did you epoxy inside? i am at that point to spot weld tulips .I used a detail belt sander for the wiper galley. Rustreated with fast etch and now epoxy time?
No. I left the EDP coating on the inside. I only stripped off the EDP where I was going to weld. Then I coated the inside of the welding surface with a good weld through primer. This offers better protection than the factory's method of assembling bare steel and spraying where you can reach.
I have made patches myself but this car needed the whole channel replaced all across the top. So I used prefabricated channels specific to this car. Go to Rustreplace.com to see if they make them for your car. And please subscribe to my channel. Thank you!
Where did you purchase the cowls. I got R/s from Muscle car central (AMD)and needed to split and pull apart upper inside corner and patch and weld. D/s i got from American performance (Ebay) aka Taiwan absolute junk., Is there anything made in America anymore?
I don't think so man. All China and Taiwan. I believe these came from AMD. I'm not sure. This customer buys his own parts and he prefers AMD. A few things he couldn't get so he went to Classic Industries.
Thank you for the good information regarding the cowl sides. Keep up the good work.

Would love to see vid of dash cowl install.
Just got a 70 in the shop yesterday. Needs an upper dash. Keep watching. I'll try to do the dash first.

How did you fabricate that windshield channel? I need the same thing.

How much you charge to replace floor on 74
Full floor pan assembly $1500-$2000.
@@m-poundhotrods3338 Is that parts included! And what’s the turn around
@@bjjblackbelt513 That's labor only. The pan is around $600 plus shipping.
@@bjjblackbelt513 I have an open spot right now. So I could get on it right away. If you dropped it off soon it would take about a week.
