Absolutely love your videos! They help so much with learning about asl and deaf culture. I'm hard of hearing with audio processing disorders and read lips to communicate usually. I tried learning asl when I was younger, but no one was willing to learn it to communicate with me so it didn't stick very well. My husband has committed himself to learning with me so we can communicate better. I'm very excited to share your videos with him! ^.^
Love this video. That was real weird to realise that A.J. was born a year after my daughter 😂 (makes me feel ancient). You both are multilingual! I think that’s fantastic! (Well, you are still, Estefani, I do think that there are levels of language acquisition… like, you have better receptive reading skills but not writing in Spanish…. Hmmmm ) Which language do you feel most comfortable using? (This Q goes to both of you) I had a giggle … distance is a matter of perspective hey? 35 mins away is pretty close for us (we live in West Australia). Partner drives an hour and 20 mins to work each way. It’s kinda how it is for us. Hehe.
Your sister hearing real nice and learn sign language because of your niece deaf and nephew hard of hearing . Talk communication sign language is beautiful.
Sign language should be mandatory at every pre-school in every country... I resent so much not learning LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) when younger... had to wait til college... I find it very wrong that (here in Brazil slat least) they teach English from pre-school but not LIBRAS... I'm not saying they shouldn't teach English, but we should prioritize our own impaired hearing people...
This is really good! I'm like your sis in a way but for me, I am strong in English and sign language but not spanish and plan to get better at spanish. 😄
At first I was like darn, I wanted to know what their saying but thank goodness for cc because now I can read 😅

For me, I actually speak and sign. I feel like I can sign better that way.
