    that's one thing i love about their look - they are all in white and gold but each girl has her own distinct style - makes it all that much better visually. and the individual solos to start with the combined harmonizing solo to finish it off is pretty much their trademark . in almost all of the songs. couldn't love 'em more if i wanted to.

    One thing you will ALWAYS see with LiveBites (which I think is really cool). Most metal bands are always in black and leather or something similar. So you really don't stand out. So what these ladies have done is that because of how small in stature they are, it would be hard to see them onstage. So they dress up in white so they can stand out.
    On top of that, if you look back at previous all female bands (even going back to hair metal), the ladies looked and dressed as sleazy as the guys.. so who said that metal had to be dirty? They don't have to look like crap to play well. And that's also part of their appeal; they dress as beautiful as they are and play, and are showing the rest of the bands (especially the guys) that they can play better than them, and even worse, do it in heels.

    All of their live shows are the best and I dare say they out do everyone no one comes near them. More is yet to come as they work on their new album, in a side note, they released 7 songs from the latest album and hoped they had done the entire album “Electric Pentagram”

    In Japan, there are two amazing melodic speed power metal bands with super female vocalists.
    "LOVEBITES"and"Unlucky Morpheus".
    Especially "mouryou no misshitsu" and "dignity of spirits".
    Please give me a reaction someday.

    I was first introduced to Band Maid after checking out a reaction review of Baby Metal. I really enjoyed what Band Maid had to offer and watched a reaction video of their song "Dice" where someone in the comment section recommended they review Lovebites "Shadowmaker". So I casually look up Shadowmaker and watch the video. Talk about mind blown! No offense to Band Maid (as I enjoy what they put out in the Rock category) but Lovebites is on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL!! I have been completely addicted to this band for the last 6 weeks (imported both Concert DVD's from Japan and have downloaded every song they have to offer). They have literally dropped into my Top 5 bands of all time. These ladies are beyond talented and dare I say the greatest female Metal band (and easily my favorite Metal band) of all time.

    Yeah mate this concert is mind blowing stuff. That can't be different you just sow the winners of 2018 year in category for the best new metal band. The musicianship and relationship what they've got is unbelievable. You have to check some behind stage videos to see how close they are between them. So go check the open show song Thunder vengeance from the same concert Five of kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo 2020 year. Also Signs of deliverance, Swan song, Dancing with the devil, Rise some hell, We the United. Each song is masterclass. And in the end their last album Electric pentagram from 2020 year is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. Enjoy it.

    Who do they remind you of? Well, they studied (yes, literally studied) Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera and all the other major metal bands. And it's clear they aced their studies. They can incorporate anything those bands did, but into their own unique sound. In 30 years people will be saying "Oh, this reminds me of Lovebites!"

    Although they’ve been a band now for 4years, this show was only 27 months after they first headlined a show (which was in a London club btw) , blows my mind how quickly they got this tight!

      Watching videos from those early club gigs across Europe it's been fun to watch how much Asami's vocals have improved over time. Not that she was bad, but she's gone from a talented singer to a pro performer who can captivate the crowd.

    Enjoyable reaction for a fan to watch, which I am, and did, emphatically.
    I followed up on your excellent 'Sonata Arctica - Wolf & Raven' remembrance.
    One particular Wolf & Raven part, 34sec - 45sec is where I hear the similarity. Great song and performance, enough that I looked for them live, now 20 minutes in "Live in Finland"
    Thanks. LOVEBITES? All their songs are good, the differences on u2b range from cell-vids (& Bloodstock) to CD audio only, MV reenactments with CD sound, live CD or, the always preferred, pro-shot 'official' releases (regardless of uploader).
    ALL LOVEBITES' releases are mixed and mastered by Finnish team, Mikko Karmila & Mika Jussila, respectively, (coincidence?) Next song in the show is "Don't Bite The Dust"
    (live 2019 CD) th-cam.com/video/JuIelZCbeMQ/w-d-xo.html Which gives an idea of how they change-up the song-feel and energy in the crowd.
    For more close to "Holy Wars" energy I'd suggest "The Hammer of Wrath" from this show. th-cam.com/video/S3vjrVtAvzE/w-d-xo.html

    I know of this Luca Turilli (Rhapsody, Rhapsody of Fire, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody) of whom you speak of and this song Demon Heart you tell of. There is a bit of similarity to Sonata Arctica Wolf & Raven.
    I hear a bit of Iron Maiden. Miho plays bass using Steve Harris technique of two fingers on right hand and 4 note boxes with occasional run with left hand.
    They are equally good in studio as live. The one thing about live I know they are playing because you can count about 3 dead notes per song out of a thousand notes per song and they play right through it which is how professional they are.
    I heard someone's daughter say they are Princesses who play heavy metal. Best description.

    The three major all female Japanese rock/metal bands are Lovebites, BAND-MAID and Nemophila IMHO. You have done Lovebites and BAND-MAID. So, I would say it is time for Nemophila, if you not already have listened to them without doing reactions. They do not have all that much good on stage live performances, but they have lots of semi-live, i.e. one take, in a simple studio recordings. And also some music movies. So, here is a list with the songs I would recommend. They are all good. It does not matter where you start. Most do Dissension, it is the hardest.
    * Dissension
    * Oiran
    * Raitai
    * Revive
    * ...
    * Lots of fantastic covers of metal and rock, just take some song you like. They are all recorded in the drummers practice studio. RAW but good audio.
    So what do they have, except lots of fun?
    * Two super good shredding guitar players
    * A drummer that is out of this world
    * A very good bass player
    * A top notch singer that switches between raspy/clean voice and scream.

    I love the musicianship and at the same time dislike the style of the vocals so much. Never really liked those "traditional" Power Metal vocals and lyrics, it just reminds me way too much of opera, which I'm absolutely not a fan of. It's the same with Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Manowar, etc. I'm glad not all of their songs are in this vocal style because these women are some of the best musicians I've seen in a long time, including Asami's awesome vocals and I don't want to tune out her singing everytime.
