I'm an old guy, and I had given up on popular music for a long time. Then I heard all of these ladies from Japan.Blew my mind! My three favorite bands right now are Lovebites, Bandmaid, and Nemophila. They're all completely different and all great. No matter what kind of mood I'm in, one of those three will do the trick for me. All of these ladies are putting popular music in the U.S. to shame.
I love these bands from Japan. What strikes me is how professional all of these women are from all of these bands. They know their kit, too. Japan is conquering the world with metal.
Good reaction. Great song of my favorite band. This whole concert “Five of a Kind” is great. Got the Blu-ray. Another great, but very different song, to react to from this concert is “Edge of the World”. The guitar that Miyako plays is a Dean. She has several Dean guitars. Thank you for this reaction.
Holy War in my opinion is the best power metal song produced in 2020. You realize it or not, they are Japanese but their music is more towards Scandinavian & European style(some songs are also like American thrash metal) And speaking of lyrics, Asami is also a great lyricist. For songs with a different feel, I recommend "Frozen Serenade(live 2021)" and "Edge Of The World(live 2020)" Thanks
One thing about the three tapping parts is that all three ladies are doing it each time. It's just that the camera switches focus each time. This is the second song of the show. The rain that you can hear briefly at the beginning of the video is a holdover from the show's opener, "Thunder Vengeance." Miyako's guitar in this video that you like so much is a Dean USA Icon with the faded denim coloring. She has played other brands and has built several of her own guitars, but Dean is her main brand. Midori's guitar is an ESP E-II Horizon; she typically plays ESP, whether it's one of her two Horizons, her beautiful Arrow, her gorgeous FRX that she played in older videos, or the one she built at ESP's guitar shop. Miho's bass guitar is an ESP Amaze; I've never seen her play anything other than an ESP Amaze. Like you, I've noticed that so many of Japan's rock and metal musicians sing and play at such a high level. In almost every case, there's a rich musical education in each musician's past plus an incredible work ethic. Most of the instrumentalists from these Japanese bands play multiple instruments; Midori, Miyako, and Haruna can all play piano/keyboard, I think Miho also plays guitar, and Miyako can play bass and drums. Akane, MISA, and Kanami from BAND-MAID all play multiple instruments as well. Lastly, if you want to hear bass tapping and guitar harmonies, I'd like to suggest "Knight of Sword" by the great Unlucky Morpheus. Here's a link. th-cam.com/video/TiQdl2toBtg/w-d-xo.html
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics: Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and for one forevermore What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war ----- lyrics: LOVEBITES music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
That unison taping from the string section in this one with Miho doing it one-handed was 🔥Miyako and Midori's trading solos and then coming together in unison while Miho takes over the lead riff just ices the cake 🤘🐺🤘
Yes, these women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile musicians. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are from another planet. They are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Their main influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Angra, Helloween, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Dragonforce and even Gary Moore, but they are developing their unique style. They play (mostly) power metal but as musicians they don’t have any limitations. The duet solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary. Even their slower tempo songs are amazing, with nice vocals, soulful guitar and nice piano. They really shine in their live performances. Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Bass (unfortunately she recently left the band) Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
You absolutely right. To be perfect like this, they must have so much practice. They make it all it's look so easy. Next try they song "Signs of deliverance" Thank you for great reaction again to Lovebites. Wolfpack keep on lovebitten🤘🐺🤘
Set the World on Fire live 2021 by these guys is a masterpiece Also Shadowmaker Also Glory to the World, haven’t seen a live version of it yet though You already did Swan Song
These gals were inspired by 80's british metal that was Miho's vision for the band was to have that double guitar attack operatic style singing and pounding drums and driving bass holding it all together. of their 3 albums 4 EP's and 4 Live albums there's not a bad song on any of them. Midori is on the ESP Horizon II and Miyako is on a Dean. I think Miho's bass is also an ESP
This is one of the most common first videos for people who have never seen them. You already saw Swan Song so you had some idea what was in store. Thanks for coming back to Lovebites so soon.
Here's a song that both showcases Asami's voice and Miyako's piano skills but also shows the range of their inventive and ambitious style and their ability to use various different styles in one song including ballad and rocker. Edge of the World th-cam.com/video/FGRxXCDtRFA/w-d-xo.html
Miyako's guitar here is a Dean Icon Flame top (i believe the finish is faded denim). She has her very own signature Dean model which can be seen here - th-cam.com/video/18PdNPwyCiQ/w-d-xo.html Lovebites is very inspired by bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. Lot's of 80's metal influences! And their sound is all over the place, different styles. Try their song A Frozen Serenade - th-cam.com/video/v3dRckDw1GM/w-d-xo.html or Break the Wall - th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html Two completely different sides of Lovebites! 🤘🙂🐺🎸Thank you!
Most of my favourite bands/musicians are Japanese now haha. The backing band from Babymetal, Waggakiband, Lovebites. So good and sheer excellence. Like you, I was hooked by the guitar harmonies that I wasn't hearing in Western music. Babymetal got me into the Japanese scene, and I stuck around!
you'll be happy to know the rabbit hole of songs for this band is emmense. You may be busy for awhile with the amount of great stuff they have everything from straight ballads, Speed metal, Thrash, Power Metal and even a Theme song for an Anime in Japan (Winds of Transylvania)
One very obvious stuff instrument wise, they are bringing back the tasty solo section! Not just guitar, but often would include bass, keyboard (Yuhki of Galneryus), or violin! (Unlucky Morpheus) I would put these Japanese bands with consistent solo writing as *Top of The World* currently. A lot of feel, soul with magnificient addition of classical music reference.
They are unashamedly influenced by 80s metal, mainly New wave of British HM, Priest, Maiden and the likes. But of course with a modern twist and Miyako's (dark haired guitarist) adds her vast knowledge of classical music as a concert pianist, making their songs very interesting. Ther catalogue comprises everything from ballads to prog to power metal to heavy rock to thrash so they're diverse. Almost every song has two solos and a harmonized part on guitar, to showcase M&M's skills :-)
Miyako and Midori, the 2 guitarists, practice extensively just the two of them to get the solos right. I think a lot of people could get pretty close to where Midori and Miyako are at if they were willing to put in the 20-40 hours of practice a week and to learn a bit of music theory.
If you like harmonies, how about this one between an electric guitar and violin from another Japanese metal band: th-cam.com/video/sKDjZ_pyeng/w-d-xo.html
ok Miho has left and we wish her all the best Japan has many great musicians and will be able to create a great new band, but will you find a new magnificent and perfect metal voice like Asami's?

You should try listening to Maximum the Hormone!
*Unlucky Morpheus* .
Fronted by gorgeus & powerful female vocalist, Fuyuki (shortened: FUKI).
Enjoyed that reaction. Haruna is just killing it on the drums ! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! 🤘🐺🤘

That guitar is a Dean Hardtail not an icon
They stopped making them some time ago, they were meant to compete with the Les Paul so it’s an arch top
Just can't stop smiling watching these girl. Awesome!

Bassist and co-founder Miho left the band in August 2021!
Great reaction. Edge of the World should be next. Use the links the wolfpack provides to make sure you get the correct one.

Take a look see at Lovebites at Zepp 2020 called ( Thunder Vengeance ). It's the openener of the show . Great reactio again as aways. Thank you.
