18 inch wheels on a Hybrid are completely counterproductive in terms of mpg. The wider tires INCREASE rolling resistance and DECREASE fuel economy. Leave the bling rims on the V6.
Right Lane Hog At the end of the day 47 mpg on the highway is crazy good for this size car. Go Toyota.
Tough choice! I much prefer the looks of the SE over the LE but if buying a hybrid the LE Hybrid makes more sense because it gets much better fuel economy. Since I wasn't ready for a hybrid yet and sure wasn't ready to give up the 8-speed automatic transmission for a CVT, I got the gas-only 2019 Camry SE.
The hybrid cvt is nothing like a standard cvt.
@@redshift6743 What's the difference between the CVTs and more importantly why are they better than the standard 8-speed automatic?
@@QuentinQuatermass Standard cvt uses belts and pulleys if I remember correctly. And that is what goes wrong in a standard cvt. If you search for difference between Toyota hybrid cvt vs regular cvt, you'll find the same info I did.
@@QuentinQuatermass The reason I didn't buy the new rav4(i own a 2018 rav) is because of their 8 speed transmission. Felt horrible. I was at the Toyota dealership again today, and I still don't know what to get...

Great review Jeff! I will be in car shopping mode next year and I'm curious about NiMH battery choice by Toyota as these are 20% larger than Lithium-Ion batteries. But it sounds like to me that both batteries perform well and NiMH batteries are better for colder climates.

It's lowered on Eibach Lowering Springs which I recommend to people who want to improve handling and get rid of the hideous wheel gap!!
The wheel gap means more suspension travel, which means more comfort. For a hybrid car, that's far more important to me than wheel gap reduction.
Does it drive different than LE ? Does either feel it has more power ? More battery power / capacity ?

I totally loved the "Flash" reference! Yep...I'm not only dating myself with the movie reference, but also as a Queen fan. I find myself torn between Hybrid models...Rav4 Limited or SE, Rr Avalon Limited or XSE (or maybe Camry SE?). A couple of major things come to mind: 1. Panoramic Moon Roof is NOT available on any of the Avalon models? I mean...WTH??? And 2. No electronic passenger seats on the Rav4 - even the Limited model. These are the things that make me go "hmmmm?"....

Great video Jeff! The Camry SE Hybrid is what really started my interest in the Hybrid models! I know I've commented before. I'm not sure what package it is but I know for certain that I've seen no less than 3 different Camry SE models at dealerships here in Iowa with the rear seat air conditioning vents! What package would that be a part of? Is that available on the Camry Hybrid SE? Picking your brain! Mark in Iowa.
Mark - I am shopping around for a 2019 Camry SE Hybrid in the Kansas City area and have seen airvents in the back seat as well. I am planning to get one by mid-December if I can get the right price.
@@alilotia Hi Ali. Good for you! I'm only about 5 hours from metro KC! I have used the Dealerrater website for finding the best Toyota dealerships. I have a 2012 Camry XLE V6 model. I love mine! My ultimate favorite so far is the Avalon XSE Hybrid! I've been seriously researching the heck out of Toyota in the last few months! Thanks for the comment! Mark in neighboring Iowa.
Mark Smith so were those ones gas models or hybrid? Because the gas version of the se with the audio package has the rear AC vents.

Did Toyota take away heated seats for 2020?
How come you didn't mention the crappy remote start feature? Unlike Honda, the Camry shuts down as you approach the car.

Hell Yeah me too.
Also, the gas tank on the hybrids are downsized to 13 gallons so therefore the range on a full tank is 611 miles (assuming you take a long road trip). Compared that to 624 mile range on the regular SE (16 gal ×39mpg).
@@crxracer805 man, i really didn't consider that with the difference of the fuel tank size. Thanks for that information because i really wanted the 2tone, red interior, and audio package, and the larger wheels, but they didn't have it for the hybrids. Now i know my next car is the XSE 👍👍👌👌 Thanks again
Also I hope you don't sell the ones you test drive as new..... considering how you floor em when they shouldn't be driven hard according to Toyota during breaking period.
