- The time is coming to start getting our heifers and cows in calf ready to calve down for next autumn.
For this we need any new bulling heifers to come home so we can serve them or put them to the bull.
We also need a good sort out as the ground is becoming a lot wetter and there’s not as much grass over the road on our grazing fields so we need to reduce the amount of stock over there.
In this video we will show you how we adapt to having a busy A40 running through our farm to bring the heifers home ready to see the bull.
Hope you enjoy.
Another great video, we look forward to Thursdays to see you all with the latest escapade. Navigating that road is a real task. The stock look healthy and happy. Great work.
Two amazing sisters i always love your video and always working so hard have a blessing day
nice dairy cows management # ❤️🇵🇰
Another super video. well done!
Well done 😉
love
Super 😍
Must be a nightmare living next to that road .all those idiots racing to get there yesterday !
❤
What a gate setup lol, you have for sorting through your choices for the bull
A well oiled machine the 4 of you are
Now you've bought them home, will they go out to the bull or do you bring the bull in
From watching a number of youtube farmer, it strikes me that the environment agency and the government minister's supposedly in charge of or looking after agriculture, haven't got a clue, what it truly involves, date's superceeding weather conditions, or know exactly when the birds will move in or fledge
The unsettled weather, unsettles farming and nature
Think I'd rather see slurry going out in a dry frosty Dec than a flooded Oct
Keep the updates coming and take car all
Geoff
The bull will come in to meet them 😊
Yes it is very different actually doing it every day we tend to have more of an idea what works best 😊
Did ye ever consider putting in an underpass underneath that busy road?
Have you thought about a under pass so you can take that road?
That sounds like a great idea... Except for what tunneling under a principle busy highway would cost! We're likely in the realm of a million £. 😮
