I love bar, but after playing escalation, I can't go back. The sheer unit variety is immense. Imagine beyond all reason escalation. I love the graphics on bar and the Formations.
When I played TA again I noticed for the first time that if you build multiple metal extractors next to each other on one single metal spot, you get a bit more metal out of it. Why nobody is doing this? Especially in your base where it is mostly safe.
The whole green part looks somewhat like a bat but you have to look at the map upside down. It has that monstrous weird mouth (water), its eyes are the hills in the middle and players start on its wings
33:00 literally as 1st T3 unit owns heaviest T2 tank at close range LOL. And no - the shooters didn't hold. No penetrators made in either game. Big investment + slow. Living in theory sure.... a few thuds could kill a Krogoth...or not. I'm observing what happened. *Another turtler's paradise moment: 47:30
I mean Wotan's Shooters are the main reason that Lemminkain's Defilers didn't just walk into South team's base and outright win the game. You're welcome to think whatever you want. T3 is a massive investment, so if there isn't a large improvement in unit power, there would be zero reason to even build it. FAF is no different, T3 is incredibly strong compared to T2, and T4 is even more OP than T3.
@@NactSuht The units I time stamped at 33:00 were not defilers - they were the T3 spider missile units which did own lol. But sure, ignore what you want. Tiers can have a worthwhile improvement as a whole. That doesn't mean *the first unit needs to own most of the previous tier outright. Big difference
To an inexperienced player there is more than meets the eye of this interaction at 33 minutes. The first thing is that even though the spiders are outnumbered by tanks their cost is more than doubled. The t3 player also had to invest 12k metal before they could even afford 1 spider. The second thing happening here is the micro used by each player. The t2 tanks aren’t being controlled and are sent in single file. The t3 spiders are being kept out of range and focusing all their firepower on 1 unit at a time. Because of the single file formation of 1 by 1 essentially makes it a 7t3 vs 1t2 happening multiple times. While t3 is obviously stronger than t2 this interaction is a poor comparison for balance reasons and more highlights the skill different between players.
@@sotovo Sorry but this is how it is in basically every TA-inspired RTS. T3 in FAF owns most of the previous tier as well. The UEF Titan owns all of T2 units. In Planetary Annihilation it's like this. In Ashes Singularity it's like this. If you make a massive investment into the next tier, it has to be worth the investment. There are some mods like ProTA which make the investment less and the T2 units weaker, but that's the tradeoff.
@@werdna5258 the skill gap in micro there was obvious. See previous cast "Exe vs. Lemminkainen on Dragonis 2." He comments at 1:04:15. Perhaps you think Exe's play was inexperienced there too.

Yes, Lord! We hear you! Shower us with blessings of TA! Praise be!
To see the Bat: turn your monitor upside down. The two mounds mid are the giant (crazy) eyes.
Love how they brought a unit called the Bastion - TA:K had a defensive cannon unit called the Bastion as well
Thank you mate ! ;) Appreciate it
Fitting for Halloween.
Memories😢😢 one of the best games!
Nice video.
Great game!
Yes mi Lord
if only this game had 60 fps
It's pronounced LEM-MIN-KÄI (ä= the a in ash) - NEN

I believe this was patched in the community unofficial patch.
Wotan was so rude to his teammate. If he'd said that to me I would've nuked his com lol
HE SHOULD HAVE
you don't see the bat in that map? really?
I do not!
@@NactSuht the second largest water patch looks like a bat, well with a little imagination. not a real bat - a crazy one

Wait is there a core player in this game?
