The game is about a man on drugs who was traumatized as a child (he lost his dog and blames himself, he was bullied and he lost his bunny because of his inability to swim) he's seen lying on the ground in an empty room at the end, he uses drugs to cope, as kid he always pretended to be happy, but it was always only a temporary fix, when he's hitting on the glass, he is trapped in his own mind, in his head he's still a traumatized child
Welp time for a take. I personally played this game a bit ago and it seems to be a tale about an adult man using some form of drugs that cause these hallucinations. All throughout the game you are gathering things that made you happy as a child but we’re quickly taken away, causing trauma to the poor child who has had to live with these thoughts all the way into adulthood leading to him into taking drugs to ease the pain he feels at this time. In the first stage you are tasked with finding your ball and recreating (most likely) your childhood toys. In doing these one of the clown heads starts to bang loudly on the gong that has sprouted. This represents how the drugs are destroying his senses and perception. After this when you run into what appears to be a giant pig with a small skeleton inside, the skeleton hands you his eye and shows you a doll being torn in half before it turns into the boy being torn in half. This most likely representing how the adult man feels torn between the struggles of adulthood and coping with the trauma he had as a little boy. In the next puzzle after putting together a train, in the bubbles there is an assortment of items. There appears to be shrooms, a book, and a deformed rabbits foot. The mushrooms most likely representing the hallucinogenic nature of the man’s dreams and how deformed they become. The deformed rabbits foot representing the bad hand he was given in life since normal rabbits foot are associated with good luck. The book seems to be a copy of the necronomicon representing death which will be seen later. After this, you finally get to the room with spikes where the boy takes a leap of faith in order to get the ball. After grabbing the ball he is taken out of the dream and is back in bed with the ball. But, this is short lived as the weird smiley face puts you back to face. The face that seems to put you back to sleep and reminded you of the past is most likely your adult conscious, tainted with negativity after all the life experiences he has been through. After this in the bunny puzzles the only thing I could guess is that each time you go into one of the holes, you’re travelling deeper into your own mind. In the smile room, the many faces in the ground represent the amount of fake smiles that are in the world and the room being shaped like a planet represents this. The weird smiley faces that take your bunny doll are symbolic of how sinister thoughts can be hidden behind a mask of a smile. Portrays how adulthood can be unforgiving in the eyes of this scared child. The next puzzles represent how the drugs have taken a toll on his body, with each puzzle ending in you blowing up a heart, the one where you have to sacrifice rabbits in a box representing the sinister intention of people being a smile, the weird blob that laughs when you touch him reminding you of how the drugs feel while the exterior his ugly and corroded. After this you get your doll, return to your room, and get thrust into another dream. This one depicting of how you lost your dog best friend. The man holding the dog at the start is a demented adult who is his Ning behind a sinister mask of a smile while abusing the dog. The boys eyes in this dream are glazed, representing how the drugs are about to end your own life. I’m the field with the weird witch ladies, they represent how the drugs have consumed the boys life by eating at his body and then running away. The trees that appear upside down represents the drugs that have been rooted into his daily life. When the boy approaches a lake and grabs a weird hand thing , he is lifted up by a giant, after pulling all the tendrils and feeding it the hand it ascends. Tendrils that attack you before feeding represent how your body is telling you to stop taking the drugs, the smiley face that appears after it gets fed the drugs, and then it ascending representing its new found high. After this, you control a small ball of light, representing your own life. Your life is leaving it’s hollow shell after overdosing and tripping out on the floor. Before you completely die, you are chased by hanging creatures. These represent the many times that you have tried to take your own life and how it still haunts you till this day. When you reunite with your dog and get thrust into the ground, there’s a lot of dolls that have been loosely stitched together. This most likely representing how the drugs has kept you together, but still leaving you destroyed and in disarray. It is said that everything you’ve done in your life flashes before you die, towards the end of the game that’s exactly what happens. Everything flashes before you, and you die. The red demon that leaves you representing the trauma, drugs, and everything that led up to that point leaving to find a new victim to do the same to. The boy knocking on your screen at the end showing how much the kid wants to escape, to the point I’m it breaks the fourth wall and he wants to escape into your world. Showing that he’s happy since society values that above anyone else’s actual mental state. Even if the drugs haven’t killed you yet, you’re still in the loop. The loop of doing drugs, getting near death, and repeating, until you eventually actually die. It’s a tragic story but one a lot of people can relate to.
This game is so well made. The graphics, the effects, the music, and how detailed it is mixed together make it really nice. The way they make puzzles within one another is smart. Its like a mix of cute and creepiness. Plus, Jay's randomness makes it even more enjoyable 💀10/10 I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED OVER 1K LIKES THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH 😱 MAMAAAA IM FAMOUSSS (I edited my comment and now the heart from Jay is gone) 😭
Spoiler, it's about a person literally OD-ing on drugs. You see them for a moment in the ending. Really dark stuff, but it makes total sense when you look back on the whole game.
Jay's thoughts at the end almost made me cry. Just thinking that this kid is trapped in his own mind and drawing the smiley face to prove he was happy just to escape. 😭
tysm for putting flash warnings, my sister suffers from epilepsy and sometimes there's flashing lights in the videos she watches from youtubers without warning. People don't understand how important it is to put warnings like that. She only watches your videos now because you're the only one we know of giving out warnings
Throughout the game, I think it's about a kid dealing with the trauma of being bullied, and his way of coping is through pretending to be happy and just keep on playing with toys. Eventually it became a problem that he starts to neglect his sleep. He probably has a disability as well, since the smiley face that forces him to sleep was depicted in a sinister manner and that the face is his parent, he misinterpreted the act of the parent forcing him to sleep where he relives his bullying trauma in his dreams as a malicious act to make him suffer. There's also a huge chance that this parent is either negligent or overprotective. I'm just rambling on ideas...
Honestly the ending for this game is very relatable. When you wake up from nightmare and you don't truly wake up and it just Keeps repeating the same crap over and over, it keeps tricking you. it's torture
Here's what i think its meant: In the beginning when he's a kid, he's doing everything to get back the ball in the dream which we see a flash into reality where a bully actually stole it. *Bunny* When he was in the dream to get back the bunny there were a lot of smiley faces, which i think is what the bunny did for him, It helped him remember to be happy. *Dog* Then the dog, he seems older then before. he is trying to get back and have fun with the dog in the dream but then we get another flash into reality that shows us the dog already ran away. And it also had a scene were there was a drawing of the ball, bunny, and dog were floating out of his cracked body, i think that shows that he new the things he loved were slowly disappearing. *The End* In the end it shows us his past when he was in his bed with his ball, his bunny, and his dog happily, but then it shows us were he is in the present, He doesn't have the ball, bunny, or dog but he still decides to smile and pretend to be happy. I think the game is about losing the things you love in life and pretending to be happy. But its just a thought ofc.
@@ifinallycamebackwiththemil5876It really is. Especially in the end when he overdoses and is laying there with the back of his head melted, unmoving, and an permanent smile on his face. Now his inner child has no way to escape the trauma.
I sometimes feel another layer of happiness when you play a game I've already played/seen before. Because it's like my good friend is playing the game and I can't wait to see their reaction. Glad you played this!
The ending is a child on the ground head melting with a smile. Meaning he always tried to be happy when he was a kid because everyone was mean to him so he always tried to make himself happy. And in all the quizzes it's like he tried to get the things back but never couldn't. At the end it's basically that he died or one day will after the nightmares that haunted all of his dreams
This is what the game is about: "The storyline consists of the player character, a nightmare-stricken child, who falls asleep into a horrible nightmare and must sort through macabre puzzles to become happy again."(Jay just to let you know what this game is about.)
23:50 “😨wait..I took an L on that. I wasn’t supposed to die by that bunny beast.” Not even a second later “I love this song 😄” *dances* “babuhbubooboopbooooo”
THEORY YOU MAY WANNA READ. All the memories is what happened in his past about how he lost his ball that was taken from the bully, the time he lost his rabbit when it fell in the sea and how he lost his dog in the forest. It was so traumatic that in his brain it created this dark world on where he imagine himself being able to go through the trauma and get his stuff back which at the end he gets them back but it turns and shows him as an adult on the floor. Basically, he took drugs or pills to be exact to make him happy cause he never got over his trauma and those makes him imagine the whole game itself and make him feel joy by imaging that he got his stuff he lost back. Which is why you see that happy face that seems so demonic helping us. It represents the drug itself and as we go it helps us redo a different part of our trauma to be happy and which is why in the end it shows the kid hitting a glass which is basically saying he is trap in his child like mindset unable to cope with his horrible past. He then does a smiley face that turn into that happy monster that helps us during the game which basically is to say no matter how much he is suffering the pill will always bring a smile to him so he can forget about reality and we can see he is far gone cause of his glue like head. It just means since he never tried to fix his trauma by going to therapy he ended up taking drugs. I will say the developers are showing us that when we have trauma and this sort of thing, pills will not bring you joy and satisfaction no matter how good it looks you will never truly find happiness and so we should seek help cause if not we will end up like the kid when he is all grown up laying down from drug overdose. That's what I think anyways.
Hello Jay, I am writing this because I am a huge fan of your content. Ive been watching your yandere series since I was like 10 years old and even to this day. I remember in one video that wasn't tooo long ago, you were telling us how your dream school was UCLA and to stay in school. Just a few months ago I was literally on the edge with college admissions and stressed tf out. But I come back to your videos after breaking down and crying- you never fail to make me laugh. I watched your content while writing these college essays and finally got my decision- no not UCLA, but the rival, USC!!! I am going for free and couldn't have made it to see this day without you! I am so happy to be part of this community! Its videos like yours that cheer me up and make me forget about the immense stress. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making videos!
This video of Jay really boost my mood when I’m positive to Covid and have no interest in anything. Have been supporting u for 6 years and still do, cuz u’re THAT DUDE
I'm very amazed by this game. For some reason, despite all the creepy imagery, this is one of the very few games that I can actually look at when being played (ofc, not on full screen tho, I'm still wimpy af). 11/10
I think that the way that Jay explained it in the end, was true, and was made to reflect or reference the feelings/symptoms of depression in children nowadays, irl.
Right off the bat this game reminded me of Fran Bow and that's one of the series that really got me to stay and watch your channel. Its crazy to think that I've been here for well over 6 years now and even though I was on and off the last couple of years, I can't NOT come back. Bit of a tangent but yeah I had so much fun with this game, Jay makes it 100x more enjoyable than it already is!
The ending is about a homeless man having a dream about being young again, but as his younger self he's having a nightmare, when the younger version of him woke up and was going to play with his dog, that's when the man died. He passed away in his sleep, on the side of the road, alone, sad.
I think it might’ve been hinting at depression. He puts on the smile as a mask when he’s really scared towards the beginning. He is also stuck in the world and he’s not really happy, but in the end when he realizes he can’t escape he draws a smiley face.
Yeah the game is about truama, depression and oding. I didn't read too much into the game but it reminds me a lot of my life, I pretend to be happy hoping maybe things will get better or that my depression will go away somehow but it just doesn't and I feel trapped in this endless cycle of depression. I deal with a lot of trauma from my childhood, bullying, neglect, molested as a child and it's hard to sleep at nights, it fucks you up for the rest of your life. I have been dealing with depression for around 6 years now, 17 years old now and I have od multiple times attempting suicide and everything feels hopeless. To anyone who's dealing with a similar scenario, you have to deal with it early on and get support from those around you otherwise before you know it your life will be like mine and everything will be pointless, I don't feel any happiness from anything, everything feels dull and meaningless. People talk about depression and make it sound so easy to get help but as a guy it's incredibly difficult, there's this gender stereotype that guys need to be strong so we never get support whereas women will get a lot of support. My therapist gave up on me, the whole system gave up on me
i love you jay literally you made me like gaming!!! and to create something fun a lot of youtubers have friends to game with n it made me jelly but you playing by urself is the best i can ask for !!
Im so early!😭 but anyways i love your videos sm they always make me feel better through tough times and they always make me laugh and if your reading this, i love you sm!!

jays laugh is adorable and contagious got me smiling the whole gameplay lol
I'm very amazed by this game. For some reason, despite all the creepy imagery, this is one of the very few games that I can actually look at when being played (ofc, not on full screen tho, I'm still wimpy af). 11/10
Jay: He bald so he unhappy
Jeff Bezos: money makes happiness

1 hour and 20 minutes of content... Guys we finally got Jay to spoil us.
Jay: make it clap
Me: Wait chill out
I think that the way that Jay explained it in the end, was true, and was made to reflect or reference the feelings/symptoms of depression in children nowadays, irl.
I love how jay always makes things funny even tho there horrifying 😭

Jay: What instrument is that? It just makes me… *starts fnf bf beatboxing*
i love how jay really cares about the viewers, and I know it because he put the warning at the end!, stay safe jay we love ya p.s YOUR THAT DUDE!
Jay just making that poor purple bunny watch as a smiley face chops up his childhood friend😂
The ending is about a homeless man having a dream about being young again, but as his younger self he's having a nightmare, when the younger version of him woke up and was going to play with his dog, that's when the man died. He passed away in his sleep, on the side of the road, alone, sad.
The art style of the game is so unique and cool, the plot line is interesting too, again with Jay's top tier commentary 👌
Jays back at it with another bangerrr🔥🔥
I REALLY WANNA SEE JAY PLAY THAT LEVEL AGAIN SERIES, ITD BE SO COOL! AND THEY'RE FREE >:D
Someone: bullys the main character
Me: Don't mess with THAT DUDE
yes an hour video, get your snacks guys!!
Jay: “Did he just shit out a shot of blood?”
*the girls*: SHE’S ON HER PERIOOOOD!!!
I think it might’ve been hinting at depression. He puts on the smile as a mask when he’s really scared towards the beginning. He is also stuck in the world and he’s not really happy, but in the end when he realizes he can’t escape he draws a smiley face.
I find it funny that with all of the disturbing imagery in the game they refused to cross the line at showing the dog actually dieing.
My therapist gave up on me, the whole system gave up on me
hey, im guessing youre about 19 now. hope youre doing alright. im hoping you didn’t give up on yourself
Remember, When A Game Has "Happy" In It......
its never happy
always horror or something
jay always makes my day when ever he posts!!!
@Cosmix shut up
nahh Jay makes everyone laugh and smile, he makes everyones day better. even if its 3:02 for me right now, its worth it.💪🏻
same, and i can confirm
the fact that this game is supposed to be happy is such a troll
The game: called happy
Me: Flashbacks to happy wheels
not jay roasting the characters baldness in the first minute looking like baldis basics
