In Ableton, you'll hit the reverse button, bounce to audio, the reverse again... works perfectly.

Is Cubase the only DAW able to do this "reverse and rearrange" more efficiently? I don't know but in Cubase I bounce the midi to audio, chop it up, highlight everything and reverse all at once, everything stays in their place

My pleasure to share! At the time of shooting this vid: iOS Monterey, Logic Pro 10.7.6 The step sequencer was included in the 10.7.1 update (I believe).

Really depends on your needs. If you just want to record and release music then Logic is the best simple DAW to catch on to. However if you want to do advanced production, editing and performing then Ableton is the best choice!
