Just came into 3. Very motivational video! When you say stage 4 is making a lot of money, I have to immediately start managing my dopamine levels again😂. I make money as long as I don't get excited or exhausted. Then I start acting stupid with my entrance and stop loss. Knowingly acting stupid at that.

I feel like I was in stage 1 last year losing a lot of money by trading penny stocks and not cutting my losses early. This year I have been more disciplined by immediately setting a stop loss as soon as I buy a stock and not focusing on crappy stocks but buying good quality growth stocks. I also like your strategy of selling half of the position when I am half way to my profit target and then moving my stop loss up. Thank you for taking the time to educate us.

I finally bought into the idea that having a trading system is essential. A year ago, I wasn't even stage 2, but thought I was. Now I'd say I'm in actually in stage 2 and hoping to enter stage 3 in the near future.
Stage 3, but I'm 100% into preserving my capital and I bypassed 1 & 2... I had a little background on Banking and Finance which has been helpful. Lastly, I am super patient but not patient enough for long term investing so I go the trading route, with less emphasis on maximising each trade, but rather preservation of capital and I'm happy in that zone.

I'm in stage 2. A lot of loss from Stage 1 has been really difficult emotionally and I have a difficult time entering the trade. I'm using MACD, RSI & Fast Stochastic to identify setups for intraday trading with Micro contracts. I'm putting small capital at risk so that I can gain confidence in my setups and practice execution. I hope I can trade with confidence and have consistent wins in the near future. In 7 months I brought my 25k account down to 1k😭... but it wasn't just losses, it was mainly laziness and living off my brokerage account. It was an inheritance. I am now in stage 2. I have been using 2-5% mental stops and losing a little bit instead of a lot. I can no longer afford to lose a lot. Hoping to move into stage 3 this week by starting to use 2% trailing stops. Excited to try trailing stops. I feel it will take a lot of the emotion and stress out of trading. Your video inspires me not to give up.

What stage am I considered to be in if I made an initial deposit of $250,000 into my brokerage account, make an average about $22,000 in a couple hours of trading in one day a couple times a month, then a week later I lose $138,000 in 2 combined weeks? I'm Guessing Back to the first stage of losing a lot. That happened to me back in 2009.

I have engineering background. I tried machine learning for few months ( It didn't make any good results ). After working one year as software engineer. Last month I quit my job and Now I am trying to build an algorithmic trading bot. I tried lot of strategies like trend trading, support resistance trading and indicators. But Result is "all strategies work a little bit. which results in overall loss". My aim is to make some money with algorithm trading bot. And with that money build a High Frequency Trading.
One of my trading system bot gives profit in one dataset, not taking trade in one dataset and lossing in one dataset.. Do we need to change the trading strategy for different months.. If so how can we know which strategy to apply for which month..
Have you seen the movie "The Hummingbird Project"? GREAT movie, and it explains why there's no way that you could possibly build a High Frequency Trading company, UNLESS you have $500 Million or more to invest. Same is true for "algorithm bot trading": You have to invest a few million dollars before it would even be remotely profitable. Learn how to read charts! Learn the "PowerX Strategy" and also "The Wheel Strategy". This will help you to make back the money that you lost. 😀👍

I'm at Stage 2 and heading towards Stage 3 now. Stage 1 was the worst feeling in my life and leaving it has been the best feeling in my life.

If you're a self taught, self funded, home based trader, (not institutional) be prepared to spend three to five YEARS in stage two.
