Evening,I have a Explora 2 recently I bought a tvlink but I don't get power at RF out ....never used RF out before have done link setup but zero power any advice?
Hi Andre, Unfortunately, I cannot answer that. I don't have DSTV at home. I can only repair the faulty device. I know years back that there used to be some very good advice on the DSTV forum - perhaps you could look there? Cheers Craig
Hi Bomkazi, You are going to have to give me a bit more information than that. I would need to know what model decoder you have? When did this start happening i.e. did it stop working after load shedding? Anything else you feel that I would need to know as to how it got to this state? Cheers Craig
@@foulkesbrau3085 HD medel4U it was working perfectly until friday when I was turning furniture and disconnect it and later on when I was trying to plug it, only 100 channel playing other channels says I must remove card and wipe it and unplug decoder I tried several times still nothing
Hi there, You would need an oscilloscope. You can then trace from the output to where you are losing the signal. Unfortunately, without having the equipment in front of me, it's quite difficult to give you more specific advice. Best of luck. Craig
Hi George, I used Torx anti tamper screwdrivers. They are relatively cheap. You can get them from most hardware stores in SA. They look like normal torx screwdrivers, but the center is hollow to accommodate the anti tamper stud. Cheers Craig
@@foulkesbrau3085 thanks for the feedback sir. yep i have some torx but not the anti tamper ones. Will check Takealot as the hardwares around me does not have the anti tamper ones.
mmm, had that fault a few times from lightening. 99.9% chance that you will find that the HDMI port and/or Satellite LNB inputs are faulty. Every time a coconut. PSU brick and HDMI port.
Hi Keith, Yes, those would be problems from lightning strikes. Most problems I come across these days though are always power supply related. Our power quality has deteriorated over the past few years. One of my colleagues measured 280VAC on his house power a few weeks back. So much for 240VAC. Cheers Craig
Thanks brother. This is very helpful 🙏
Great job you done Dad🥃😊
Many thanks for the kind comment

What kind of screwdriver set did you use to open the explorer sir?
