as someone whos just starting out doing artist alleys, its very informative to see the experiences of other artists, especially any mistakes they make! Im from the east coast so I'd also have to fly if I ever want to do cons on the west coast, so i found that very relatable!
Even though you made a lot of mistakes I'm sure that other artists who may also be going cross-country for the first time like yourself may find this video useful to not make the same mistakes you did. Cheers to you for looking on the bright side of things! :)
The uber drive back was a comically bad cherry on top, but you did your best and learn a lot. Thank you for sharing this experience! Not everything is always perfect, and that's life. Next time will be better, and I can't wait to see it! ♥
OMG that was a rollercoaster of a trip for you. So sad you didn't profit much from it, but at least you got to visit Oregon. I hope your next convention goes smoothly.
Hey local Oregonian here! If you ever decide to come back to the West Coast and Portland I would highly recommend Kumoricon! It's definitely more anime focused and from what I saw of your merch I think you'd do well! Glad this was a learning experience for you and you got to try some of the local food carts! Hope your next convention goes well!
Mistakes are part of the game. Keep going! Glad you got to come to Portland! It was a fun con. I was also in Artist Alley. Day 3, indeed, gotta get there early. I was on my skateboard zooming around before everyone arrived. Safe travels!
I know this wasn’t the greatest event for you but if it helps make things a little better, I LOVE the snoopy sticker I bought from you! It made me so happy to see so much snoopy stuff at RCCC this year!
Local here, we appreciate you coming by to test the waters at the con! The same convention center runs Kumoricon in usually October-November, it's an anime convention that would definitely appreciate your work more! I go yearly and would love to spot you there sometime, or even at another con ♡ love your videos! Hope to see you in Portland again, despite the struggles. Thank you for sharing your experience, and best of wishes for the future ahead!
Sorry I missed you at RCCC. I live in Portland. Why is it the one time you vend at a Portland con I have to be busy elsewhere? I really love your cat prints!

It was definitely salt in the wound at the time haha but next con will hopefully be better!

YAY I'm so glad you like it
You should do Kumoricon next year, it's usually in November, it is better and more anime. I think it would be a better audience for your items.
If I get in I'll definitely give it a try! Heard good things

Thank you so much! Hopefully I'll be back someday, maybe for Kumoricon
If you are looking to come to California, I would suggest wonder con or Los Angeles Comic con.
Maybe not a comic con anytime soon but definitely trying for Anime Expo!
