This is an informative video. I like watching AA videos and yours was great info and interesting. Never thought of the divide attendance by # of artist idea. You got my sub.
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you found it useful!! There's a bunch of other interesting data patterns I have seen , like differences in East and West coast spending habits, I might try to do a break down in another vlog in the future!
@@Dagneo That would be interesting. I'm not an artist. I'm a rookie vendor at conventions, so it's a little different from AA. I haven't done any big conventions yet.
@@DagneoI would love to see an analysis of east vs west coast spending habits! I haven’t seen that sort of thing MUCH in artist alley vlogs, but the little bit you put in this one and your AX video were really interesting and made me think.
Maan Loved the video! You're super informative and I'm glad to hear your thoughts on how AA's are now compared to a few years ago. I forgot all about people making buttons lol. I wanted to make some so bad and now they're like obsolete haha. Great video and love the honesty. Cant wait for the next one!
Thank you so much! Yea I definitely still have my button machine and a mountain of parts that may never get used again haha.... I do see some still buttons in the alley but they tend to be much bigger and have like cool shapes, I see hearts or stars usually
I love Anime Boston it's my main favorite convention mostly because it's in my city of Boston! I only had a table I think at least once but very informative to know the convention has gotten better over the years because when I attended the staff was VERY strict with rules and the staff weren't nice at all! I'm glad this year they were nicer. It sucks it's lottery system because even living here I have yet to get back in only waitlisted once! Do you get in every time because you got a table this year and I heard of vendors getting asked if they want to come back next year and get grandfathered in sort of say. I'll just keep trying but happy you did well!
Ah so sorry for the belated reply!! I do not get in every time, I've applied about 6 times over the years and only been accepted 2 times! I wonder if the grandfathered-in artists are artists that have worked with them on promotional artwork or are considered official art guests? I haven't heard anything about "normal" artists getting grand fathered in personally!
love your artist alley videos!! could i ask what day job you have and if it's related to art in anyway? just trying to explore career options and totally understand if this is a pretty intrusive question sorry ^_^;;
Yea it was super expensive! to be fair it's a full way across the country because it's coast to coast, but even then it was a lot for a domestic flight 🙃
Hi, how are you? I was wondering are any of your family or friends cosplayed as My Little Pony characters from My Little Pony? Because I'm planning to do My Little Pony Cosplay Photoshoot Gathering at Anime Boston 2025 at Boston, Massachusetts, United States at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center on the 3rd Floor near Room 313 on Sunday, May 25th, 2025.
Great Video, i love the little character in the corner of the video
Loved this video!! Fun, informative and I really enjoyed your estimation analysis, I should start doing that!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!! I love doing analysis on my numbers, it makes me feel productive haha...
This video is sooooo helpful! Thank you for sharing so much information!!!!
It's interesting seeing your perspective on all of this! Hoping to get into Anime Boston next year :)
Ahh thanks, I hope it was good reference! AB had great traffic throughout the hall even though I was sort of in the back, I hope you get in!!

As another pre-covid veteran with a full time job. Highly relatable, making money at con to pay for next con.
For sure! it kind of feels like I'm recycling money back into the side hustle haha

Thank you! And no problem, I'm a process engineer by day, something entirely unrelated to art haha
oh woah yeah that is completely unrelated :o!! glad it's a job you enjoy though, thank you for the reply!
I'll be at AX!!! I'll say I hi if i see you :)
no way a flight should be that expensive for half way through the country wtf

Yeah, mine was only $200 round-trip from Michigan. My friends that came from California paid just under 400. 😳
