The anticipation of waiting for the photos - a few days after you sent them to be processed - was half the fun of film photography. Digital photography, whilst very convenient, panders to the "instant gratification" demands of current society. Digital has many benefits - but I believe the psychological dumbing down it creates outweighs the benefits.
There was no scale available that could cope with how fanciable Susan Stranks was. I still maintain that she owes me compensation for the damage to my wrist caused by watching her on Magpie as a teenager!
Wow!!! 1970 I was 13 years old running around New York City with a 126 Kodak which I still have, taking photos of the subways. What a wonderful time, Amazing!!!!!! by the way she was hot.
God this takes me back! i remember doing this for my course at college but im able sighted lol, got my degree but its all obselete now of course with the advent of digital photography.
100 rolls of 36 exposure 35mm film, or one reusable micro SD card? If you screw up photos with a flash card, you've still got the flash card to try again.
The Stranks in a miniskirt and boots … heavenly!
To me Susan was the most sexiest presenter on TV during her time on TV
Sometimes get the feeling I was born too late. Love the technology of today but women back then were far more attractive, Susan is very lovely indeed.
Women had a sexy quality that seems to be lost. They compensate by tarting up more and more but it's really innocence that's so attractive.

I wonder where those amazing film developing machines ended up. Does anyone still use them? Or did they end up in the scrapyard
This is what I really want to find out. I shoot film more that digital and I'm super curious to know. I really want to save them.

Very interesting! I like how they infer that only blind people are working in the dark room. :> Really cracks me up.
"and can anyone explain to the need for 1 hour photo finishing?? You just SAW the fucken thing!" - George Carlin

Susan Stranks was so hot
IIRC I was only about 4 or 5 but was really disappointed when she was replaced because she was so pretty.
I was a Valerie Singleton boy!!
I remember watching her spontaneously combusting💥on the TV one day!! 😁

It would still be 1973.
I still have a few of those old flash cubes, rather expensive to buy even in those days.
Easier to lose an SD card than 100 rolls of film
@@andrewbevan4662 It certainly is :-)
5:45 I couldn't disagree more, unless shocking means radiant!
it's too quiet
Better than Blue Peter!
