Lockheed executives had a boardroom meeting today… Chairman to the board executives: “Guys, the Chinese just gave us the best Christmas gift.” “Pentagon will call us soon.”
About two decades ago, China's most advanced main fighter was the J-8, a second-generation aircraft. The US had the F-22, a fifth-generation one. Then, some Chinese envied, some were afraid. But more people admitted the gap and tried hard to catch up. They didn't escape or pretend it wasn't real. Thanks to this attitude, China caught up with and even surpassed the West in military and technology in over 20 years. Now, what's the US doing? It quickly changes the definition of the sixth-generation fighter on Wikipedia to make the subsonic B-21 a sixth-generation one. It also says China copied other countries' technology. Even netizens from South Korea and India, which don't have advanced fighter-making technology, claim China's sixth-generation fighter copied theirs. You see, the US has fallen to the level of such small countries. In fact, the more they do this, the more I believe the US won't be able to suppress China's military technology anymore. Because they just escape from reality like ostriches burying their heads in the sand.
@@ScLmg I think you are wrong. We canceled a lot of programs for production, but the research continued. Why do you think we are able to suddenly put out "hypersonic weapons" that are REAL, (rather than bullshit ballistic missiles), so quickly? We had been researching it for 30 years. Now we are just dusting off the designs and putting them into production.
You make a big deal out of the fact that the 6th Generation vehicles may end up subsonic. Perhaps we have realized that no amount of speed will outrun the latest AA missiles. It is much more important to be able to control 5 unmanned vehicles to do the dirty, dangerous work. And if the West ever slacks off for real, I'll wager that the Chinese "progress" will slow to a crawl. They won't have anyone to copy.
It’s a Chinese updated F111. That plane was originally supposed to be a fighter jet but was mostly used as a bomber. This is a long range cruise missile carrier designed to attack islands in the pacific, like Taiwan and the Philippines or Japan even as far as Guam. It’s mostly fuel tanks for those hungry engines and won’t be effective in a gunfight.
Its to bait the US to show off the NGAD to see where they measure up. But China wants to get the aircraft parts of the J-36 done so they can work the electronic and other internals while having the "plane" part of the plane ready.
Ward mentioned at the beginning that General Kelly warned people about it long before this film was shot so definitely the intelligence agencies were already onto it. I’m sure the US isn’t the only one that knows about it.
Actually there were two prototypes of Chinese new generation combat aircrafts revealed on December 26th, the one in this episode (tailless, there engines) is by Chengdu Aircraft Industry(manufacturer of J20); the other one is by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (manufacturer of J35).
It is allowed to fly in urban areas. This is definitely not a prototype, but a relatively mature technology. The test flight must have been carried out in no man's land, and it should be a technology that can be mass-produced.
Exactly.. It must be a mature plane already. The risk of flying into urban areas for a prototype is too huge for China to take. A prototype may have engine problems etc..
It is bigger and it has 3 engines because one of its engines a rocket engine that is supposed to make it operate in space outside the atmosphere. Outlside the atmosphere with less drag and less gravity big doesn't mean more fuel and less range.
@@danwelterweight4137 wrote: "Outlside the atmosphere with less drag and less gravity big doesn't mean more fuel and less range." -- One engine is a rocket engine!!! My Western friends, don’t be led astray by the rumors on the Internet. I am a student at Chengdu University. It was clearly a classmate of our school’s aircraft model club who organized the aircraft model event that day. The fighter jet was made by several of my classmates. The materials were used to protect the environment. The foam material that people hate is powered by lithium batteries. The sound you hear is because the students installed JBL speakers on it! So, you don’t need to have any hard feelings.
Unpopular opinion: China has a lot of R&D funding because they sell products to the whole world (Temu, Shein, DJI, Xiaomi, etc.). But the US has a lot of R&D funding due to printing money and selling government bonds... 😉

Hi Ward. Happy Holidays. There is apparently THREE Chinese prototypes that took flight this week. The J/H-XX featured in your video here might be the long rumored H-20 heavy striker/bomber. In the video circulating online now, this J/H-XX is escorted by the J-20 by Chengdu Research institute. There is a second aircraft by ShenYang Research Institute that took flight in ShenYang being escorted by a ShenYang J-16 and was about the same size. There is one photo online now of a third aircraft taken near or in Xi’An also appears to be a large double delta configuration. All three aircrafts are tailless. These three were all believed to have taken flight on Dec 26th, which is the 131st birthday of Chairman Mao Tse Tung. Enjoy the holidays. Love your channel.

The smaller double delta one is the GJ-11, its a drone. The top air intake and middle exhaust on the J-36 are making me wonder if China figured out how to ignite a ramjet or scramjet at supersonic speeds.
I think you’re wrong on the engines. Most PLA watchers agree that they are the WS-15. Considering they are rated for 180kN, this aircraft has a combined thrust of 550kN. Even more worrying, documents about this aircraft that have previously been released (and have been proven to be very accurate compared to what the aircraft actually looked like when seen) have stated that the WS-15 is just the initial engine, as the Chinese work on a 200-220kN engine that will be the final powerplant for the design, meaning the final production model may produce up to 660kN of total thrust.
What's there to worry about? When have you ever seen China invade another country? Isn't it always you foreigners shamelessly invading China in the past?
Are you suggesting this wasnt known by the Pentagon for months and years? And a lot more than just cellphone footage and wild speculations. We only have this footage because China wanted it to be seen.

1) the plane actually uses the F22 style CARET inlet instead of DSI intake used by F35 and various Chinese fighters (J10C/J20/J35, etc). DSI inlet allow greater stealth but there is a limit on the top speed of the plane. CAC Chengdu actually mastered the DSI technology long time ago and applied it on multiple fighters, but this is the first time they develop a plane with CARET inlet. Its more complex, more heavy, more radar reflection, but allow greater top speed. 2) No, this is not a fighter bomber or stealth bomber project. Because this plane is developed by CAC, the developer of J10 series and J20 series fighters, they only do fighters jets. The stealth bomber project belongs to XAC (Xi' An), the development of H6 series bomber, JH7 fighter bomber and the Y20 large transport, so this is not a bomber. 3) the chase plane is actually a J20 twin seater, it is in fact the first twin seater fifth gen fighter in the world, and the second seat is needed for loyal wingman capability, it is funny to see that it receives absolutely no attention at all.
As Justin Bronk said, it's interesting that the Chinese have chosen to fly this aircraft in daylight over a populated area. They're clearly sending a message. Given the sheer size of this aircraft, I'm not convinced it's a 6th gen fighter. That near 20-metre wingspan is huge! Plus, three engines? That also makes it very heavy for an air-to-air role. Justin is probably right that it's going to be optimised for a regional strike role, with the range to reach out to and beyond the Second Island Chain -- targetting Guam, for instance, and American Carrier Battle Groups. The apparent dimensions of its primary weapons bay also looks far too big just for an air-superiority role, probably being sized for cruise missiles of a similar role to the American JASSM, and large anti-ship missiles. But there do appear to be two smaller weapons bays that would be suited to the air-to-air role, and/or SEAD/DEAD, so perhaps the design is intended to self-escort rather than rely on additional aircraft for protection. Definitely one to watch with interest in the coming years!
@@fubolibs4218 The inlet doesn't look like what would be expected for a ramjet. It looks more reminiscent of the dorsal inlet on the F-107 way back in the day. Plus, the shape of the central engine exhaust appears the same as the two outer engines. It's possible this third engine is a stopgap to provide the necessary thrust for the size/weight of the aircraft while better engines are in development. The final, production aircraft might well be a two-engine design, with the dorsal inlet removed, completing the "stealth" characteristics of the top of the airframe.
@EdwardRLyons well they are hiding the exhaust and inlet for a reason. The rumor going around is that it is supposedly a hypersonic engine in the center. Remember they showed a 2021 video of hypersonic test with a platform that looks like a miniature version of this.
J-20s use WS-15 trubofans now in mass production and not the WS-10C, so it's reasonable to expect PLAAF's new Gen 6 strike fighter to use WS-15s too. The second Gen 6 fighter that broke cover on the same day will likely use WS-15s in serial production too.

Stealthy, long range missile truck-- streak towards the carrier force at high altitude/supersonic and start flinging long-range anti-ship missiles...easily a 1000+ mile reach into the Pacific....more with drop-tanks/tanker support. Pretty smart as we have to come to them across half the planet while they can just sit back & send these out sortie after sortie. Definitely not a 'fighter'...more like a very stealthy, longer-range F-111 or Mig-31. (Wouldn't be surprised if there is/will be a WSO position). If it meets their needs and can be mass produced... it's a big headache for the Pentagon.
agree. As long as this aircraft has a combat radius of 3,000 kilometers when fully loaded, the U.S. aircraft carrier fleet will lose its safe distance in the Pacific.
I don't mean to be a smart arse, but having a military focussed onj self-defence gives you that advantage. A military built to invade countries all over the world will open up vulnerabilities. I live in Australia, and we are busy spending hundreds of billions to transform our military from defence to attack across the globe.
@@lllordllloyd Hi, Why is China developing military equipment just to invade the world? China has never invaded any country, not Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Serbia. Did the president of a country call for the bombing of Beijing and the Chinese had to wait for the B21 to fly over?
J20 looks like some of the US Air Force NGAD design. The only difference it has vertical Tail rudder. I think this J20 chase plane is an upgraded to sixth generation with C2 Drone Control. Chinese tend to optimize their testing procedures. I think the Chinese are ahead of us....
In China they often present the new generation by having the older escort it, the J20 twin seat which is the latest J20 is escorting the 6th generation fighter, both made by Chengdu, there was also another one but with fewer photos/videos made by Shenyang corporation who make the J35. Seems like this is a competition between Chengdu and Shenyang to see who wins the contract.

J-20 had replaced wz-10C with wz-15 engine already according to Chinese media. Zhuhai Airshow recently has demonstrated its further improvements in power.
In the old days, you had airplanes and cannons, and we only had a will of steel. Now that we have airplanes and cannons, you'd better have a will of steel.
That plane is very large even compared to a J-20. Look at the landing gear as well. My personal opinion is this is some kind of bomber, the other aircraft China flew is much smaller and looks to be a fighter.
It's not a bomber, it's a strike aircraft. It can still launch air to air missiles, and likely is designed to accommodate larger air to air missiles internally, but its focus is on air to ground missions. But unlike a bomber, it's much faster, and can engage air threats at very long range.
F-14 was bigger than many tactical bombers and that was 50 years ago. Nobody is arguing that F-14 isn't a fighter and there is very little reason to think that an aircraft of this size can't have sufficient maneuverability.
China never called it sixth gen, that stupid people distributing the leaked video who that. It’s not sixth gen when China doesn’t even have a fourth gen stealth fighter. Their best stealth planes have been picked up by antiquated Russian radar on 3rd gen planes in India. So, not sixth.
I have reason to believe that the designer drew inspiration from their daily afternoon tea-pizza 🍕. As everyone knows, the main characters in *Friends* love eating pizza, so this is a fighter jet symbolizing peace and friendship.
If you came across some of the higher definition photos, you would notice that the plane has large white patches on its top. The designers drew inspiration from the great pandas, which are local to the plane manufacturer. And we know pandas are also a symbol of friendship ❤
its a fighter. you need to think different for 6th gen. it will be 40-50 tons and is just one sub-node in the 6th gen systems. It is also a massive EW platform.
@@turtlesoup8134At that size it's basically a Soviet-style heavy interceptor like the Tu-128 or MiG-31. Even has MiG-31's landing gear. The Green Lady hypersonic aircraft has been flying from west coast USA over Alaska and then up and down the east coast of Russia, China, NK, etc since 1996 (27 years now!). They usually do it in about 3.5 hours so 1.75 hours each way at around 6000 MPH (10,000 kmh) for video and still photo recon purposes! The Pumpkin Seed and Spearfisher hypersonic aircraft are even faster at 15,000 mph (24,000+ KMH) and those have been active since 2006! Now you know! I have a photo of The Green Lady in flight on my wall! Don't ask me how I took it! V
It's an interesting platform, and it's public reveal timing raises more questions than provides answers. It's possible this aircraft is more of a technology demonstrator rather than a prototype, but the PLAN may have opted to emphasize certain mission roles through the use of stealth and ability to penetrate air defenses as far as Guam. What I find curious is the evidence suggesting that there are THREE engines based on the presence on air intakes- was this done for range, maneuverability without vertical control surfaces or power generation for ECM/MUMT/laser devices? It's also unclear whether of not this could be an optionally-manned platform. Will watch further developments with interest. Great video, and thanks for sharing!
My guess is the central engine is for higher speed. It feeds from the top intake; and you dont use a top intake on a fighter that'a going to be making any sort of turns.
@@NingLiu-g5u I find that somewhat hard to believe, since "prototype" and "technologically mature" are mutually exclusive. At best, the platform is ready for advanced testing and evaluation.

And if their economy is half the size they claim they’re lucky. And that’s going to crater since everyone’s pulling their factories out. And I don’t even think they’ve nailed the 5th generation yet. There’s a very real chance the Super Hornet’s as stealthy as anything they’ve got. And it’s “only” 4++. So that’s why this whole thing is striking me as a hack. But once again: many, maaaaany things I don’t know.
I think the future is probably crewed (perhaps multi) aircraft controlling cheaper unmanned modular drones (loyal wingmen) that can are tailored to the job.
Well the good news is every time a adversary pulls out a wonder weapon. We respond with a overkill counter weapon. Plus we really got a good look at these new planes 👍
So, the bottom view seems to indicate one center internal bay. Based on the aircraft using a top intake for a 3rd engine, I would guess that the center bay is not large enough to incorporate a rotating carriage for ordnance. Most likely it has a side-by-side and/or stacked configuration for ordnance delivery. Being such a large wing design, it would seem to be designed with similar small/medium strike capability as the J-20, but with a much higher internal fuel capacity for a longer combat range while remaining low observable.

Its the AI, stealth, fire control and all the other 6th gen things that are difficult to accomplish. The Chinese government do have a habit of show and tell. It remains to be seen if this is truly an advanced aircraft.
it was flying around out in the open, in broad day light, that usually means they want to hide behind the fact that they got nothing. This thing is as solid as a kite. The secret is how they got tofu to fly.

@jacobbaumgardner3406 thank you for being like the only sane dude in these comments. Russia would do some stupid shit and make more manueverability, china seems to be doubling down on long range maritime capability with this thing, like the j20 before it.
Hearing the troubles of the NGAD program does make me wonder if the GCAP fighter between the UK, Japan and Italy could be an interesting option for the US airforce if they need a large and more capable platform than the F-35 and F22.
Let's be honest. It is never the manufacturer cheap, it is always the customer cheap. If you go to Jeff Bezos house, sure you will still find things that is made in China.Temu is designed to make money from cheap customers, because it makes the best stuff with the cost these cheap customers are able to pay.
Its pure cope to say this is not a 6th gen fighter because it's some how a JH-XX strike bomber. Chinese bombers and strike-bombers are built by Xi'An Aircraft corporation NOT Chengdu Aircraft corporation that built this 6th gen fighter. The original NGAD was supposed to be very large as well, larger than the F-117, because super maneuverability is not a requirement for 6th gen fighters. (You're not going to be very maneuverable without vertical control surfaces.
I think we are having a MIG-25 moment here. When the West first learned of the MIG-25 annalists had a panic attack and basically claimed it was the greatest/deadliest fighter ever built that did everything but wear a cape and fire R-40 missiles up Lex Luthor's back side (side note one of the big reasons the F-15 is such beast is because the Air Force wanted something to counter what it thought the MIG-25 was capable of). Then they found it was just a good interceptor with really big engines. This feels like China is trying to do the same thing.
The fuselage length is similar to J20. It adopts a twin-engine, double-delta-wing, tailless flying wing layout. The flying wing layout is difficult to control high maneuvers, so it cannot be a fighter. The twin-engine small air intake port indicates means it uses a fighter engine rather than a high-thrust model. There is no large internal bomb bay in the appearance. Due to the J20 can only fight in air combat, this aircraft is a bomber to verify the flying wing layout.

They produce 75% of all drones in the world - look up DJI. They have 800k 5G base stations and are implementing 6G atm and Huawei is the world leader in this field bar none. They are also the biggest shipbuilder in the world both commercial and military. To remain ignorant and write off China is being foolhardy and arrogant , I have lived in China for more than 20 years and witness first hand their rise and focus. I would not want to live anywhere else. I have lived in Sydney , Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Amsterdam and have travelled widely in Asia , US and EU. Their cities, public transport, subways, airports, services, public safety , cleanliness, green cities ( all buses, taxis are electric, they plant 2M trees /annually ) make others look very third world. There is an understandable trust issue on both sides..
This J-36 looks much more like a light bomber in the F-117 concept, than an air dominance fighter in the F-22 concept. Without a vertical stabilizer, it will not be maneuverable as a fighter. Also the engine inlet on top is well suited to stable bomber type flying, but very susceptible to engine stalls at high angle of attack dogfight maneuvers. The inlet must be on the sides or below for high angle of attack maneuvers.
Wrong, this thing is a multi-functional fighter. Maneuverability is not that important for the sixth-generation aircraft. The sixth-generation aircraft's air combat is mainly to launch missiles and command drones from a long distance, or fly into near space.
It seems to be able to fly at least , not so awesome Hypersonic bogeys emit electromagnetic signatures , guess a different rotation rate and gain or filtration or calculus of the onboard set feature on an E2 maybe won't be necessary, it still has an undercarriage which should make for most ATC castles that have orbital overflight pretty relieved that in theory it will RTB.
Few years ago, PLAAF commander said he wanted large stealth long range intercontinental fighter bomber that could carry strike packages and able to defend itself. Chengdu variant is the larger fighter bomber with priority on air to ground sorties while carrying 2-4 BVR missiles. Shenyang came up with intercontinental fighter escort variant with focus towards air to air. If they have ramjet then TVC compulsory, otherwise optional

USA sets the bench mark and unless it is confirmed by USA that it is 6th gen then it is not! someone else said this in another thread on this video and I agree with this: Just because it's a tailess-delta, doesn't mean it's an actual 6th gen. We know nothing about the engines, stealth capabilities, power generation, radars, weapons, computing power etc etc. For all we know (very likely is) this is simply a flight demonstrator, without any of the features that actually make something 6th gen. So don't presume they're going to be dominating the skies with them anytime soon.
Why fly during the day? Who risks a prison sentence for taking pictures? Who smuggles out intelligence? I’d wonder about Chinese OPSEC or why this video was deliberately leaked.
When seeing the pictures rumored to be of China's sixth-generation fighter jet on the Internet, I seemed to witness a "Star Wars" scenario coming to reality. This fighter jet exudes a mysterious and powerful aura all over, and its unique appearance design is like a product from a science fiction interstellar world. Judging from the smooth and angular lines, its stealth performance must have reached an unprecedented level, as if it could conceal itself in the vast universe, making it undetectable by the enemy. Its maneuverability also seems to break through conventional understanding. With its flexible turns and agile postures at high speeds, it is like an interstellar fighter jet shuttling freely among the stars, easily摆脱 the pursuit and attacks of the enemy. The advanced avionics system and intelligent combat modules are like the super-intelligent command centers in "Star Wars", capable of processing vast amounts of battlefield information instantaneously, making quick decisions, and achieving seamless coordination with wingmen and other combat platforms, weaving a tight and efficient air combat network. In terms of weaponry, there might be high-energy weapons similar to laser cannons that can release powerful energy to destroy targets in an instant, or ultra-long-range intelligent missiles that can precisely strike the vital parts of the enemy. Once this fighter jet is officially commissioned, it will undoubtedly enable the Chinese Air Force to have absolute air supremacy in future aerial battlefields, opening up a new era of "Star Wars" for China, deterring any potential invaders and becoming a solid fortress for safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
We used to call the F15 the flying tennis court, but this thing is the flying soccer field. One thing we can be sure of, this is not a fighter. And with those lovely vertical fins on the wings I would not really call it stealthy, which brings us to the most important question: 'why are the Chinese showing this to us ?" About two decades ago, China's most advanced main fighter was the J-8, a second-generation aircraft.

Could be hypersonic capable ram jet for the third engine.

@ Yes, but doesn’t take Sun Tzu to realize that is smart. Also the CCP is more about making publicity stunts than real capabilities. Same as the Russians. The US on the other hand really does hide their best tech as they always have.

I predict a resurgence of audio detection technology to deal with stealth aircraft. They may have microscopic radar signatures, but they are LOUD.

@@NingLiu-g5u If you know the CCP, this is subterfuge and deception rather than technological mastery.

@@NingLiu-g5u I find that somewhat hard to believe, since "prototype" and "technologically mature" are mutually exclusive. At best, the platform is ready for advanced testing and evaluation.

4:04 Agreed. I don’t think this thing is a fighter. That they have to put three engines on it tells me - going only by this - that they’re not even in the 6th generation game. That’s most of the work.
Sadly, it is and adding a third engine has its own benifits. We don't even know what the third one is for. It could be a ramjet for high speed high altitude or even a generater for EW or energy weapens.

@@wkrapek It would be really exciting to know what kind of tech was packed with this beast, but since it's chinese I would say we gonna have to wait for some time now. :(
@ Let me just say I have no respect for them. I think Russia’s the future. I’m pretty sure they’ve only got 800 million people - and cratering fast.

Engine maybe, but no way that tailless design is a product of brute force
The fuselage length is similar to J20. It adopts a twin-engine, double-delta-wing, tailless flying wing layout. The flying wing layout is difficult to control high maneuvers, so it cannot be a fighter. The twin-engine small air intake port indicates means it uses a fighter engine rather than a high-thrust model. There is no large internal bomb bay in the appearance. Due to the J20 can only fight in air combat, this aircraft is a bomber to verify the flying wing layout.

The Chinese pace of development is way faster than anyone , just look at their EVs - way way ahead of everyone in price, luxury, software, equipment, performance , battery tech , development time etc. Same as their defence industry , drones , robots , ships ,etc. They are the biggest industrial power bigger than the next 9 combined. They have the tooling , mass production expertise, prototyping, research technicians, programmers, design engineers etc etc etc. Elon said the Tesla factory in China is the best he has ever seen , period.
Everyone paced really fast when a new breakthrough came into being, what makes the said breakthrough actually came as a new novelty however it is something that is very hard, that is why most of the time later derivatives are not novel anymore
Fast cheap and low quality highly flammable and dangerous.
Everything built without caution of reaching perfect quality is like a make believe high quality scrap.
Europe declined bugging and malfunctioning EVs even Russians are complaining after they purchased them. They are thrown on large EV cemetery or Stockpile Parking Lot deemed as useless low quality bricks

@ Well if you pay very cheap , then don’t expect quality. But if you pay a reasonable price, then it’s different. The CEO of Ford bought a Xiaomi SU7 Max ( US42K ) back to US and has been driving it every day since he loves the car so much. Most of the EVs going to Russia , even the Chinese won’t even buy because they are dirt cheap from US9-15k. But if your budget is from US30-80k , then that’s a different story.
Don’t forget China makes all Apple products, have some 50 OEM car parts suppliers to all legal automakers including the Germans and Japanese, they also make a lot of hi end electronics like hifi for B&W, Kef, Sony, Panasonic, TCL ( go research) , they also make things like face recognition security doors , smart toilets etc.
In China, nobody pays by cash , either they use their mobile , face or palm. They have 70,000 km of high speed rail and their current trains run at 450kmh. Their infrastructure is the BEST in the world. They are at least 50 yrs ahead of US and Europe. They produce 75% of all drones in the world - look up DJI. They have 800k 5G base stations and are implementing 6G atm and Huawei is the world leader in this field bar none. They are also the biggest shipbuilder in the world both commercial and military.
Let’s talk about services like food delivery , online shopping , cab hailing , package delivery - these are all very efficient, affordable and convenient in China.
Finally I suggest you travel to China , it’s visa free 10 days ,60 cities have attracted many foreigners who have created tens of millions of vlogs and you can see them all on TH-cam.
Finally let’s talk about super Apps that only China has - WeChat - go see what WeChat can do - payments, utilities, train tickets, online shopping , social media , food delivery , hotel bookings, movie tix , etc. No other App comes close.

Dude 😂. There is no dogfights anymore, air combat is done way beyond visual range
Wrong, this thing is a multi-functional fighter. Maneuverability is not that important for the sixth-generation aircraft. The sixth-generation aircraft's air combat is mainly to launch missiles and command drones from a long distance, or fly into near space.
Your point of view is wrong, NGAD also does not have a vertical tail. Is the NGAD plan also just a light bomber? Obviously not.
J20没有机炮
It seems to be able to fly at least , not so awesome
Hypersonic bogeys emit electromagnetic signatures , guess a different rotation rate and gain or filtration or calculus of the onboard set feature on an E2 maybe won't be necessary, it still has an undercarriage which should make for most ATC castles that have orbital overflight pretty relieved that in theory it will RTB.
The reality is hard : Chinese Air Force is already technologically superior then its rivals . The gap will only increase for a long time

Few years ago, PLAAF commander said he wanted large stealth long range intercontinental fighter bomber that could carry strike packages and able to defend itself. Chengdu variant is the larger fighter bomber with priority on air to ground sorties while carrying 2-4 BVR missiles. Imagine Elite Dangerous Cobra Mk4 escorted by Viper Mk3 aircraft version operating in earth atmosphere flying intercontinental air to air and air to ground sorties. The B 21 Raider is the worlds first 6 generation aircraft
Boasting typical trait of the inferior.
We used to call the F15 the flying tennis court, but this thing is the flying soccer field. One thing we can be sure of, this is not a fighter. And with those lovely vertical fins on the wings I would not really call it stealthy, which brings us to the most important question: 'why are the Chinese showing this to us ?" What message do they want to convey and why now ?'
