Whilst the "noob" combo isn't particularly flashy or technically challenging, it is very practical and I would say is beyond the ability of most dmc noobs. If you play fighting games regularly then coming up with a combo seems second nature, but to people who don't, they wouldn't even imagine something like this was possible without the internet to show them.
It kinda work this way: The better you are, the more you play and have fun with your food. Of course that doesn't mean that you'll eat your food faster. Overall, you can either focus on cheesing and go for meta, dealing with enemies as fast as you can, or simply have some fun. That's the beauty of DMC series. Beside that, once you beat the game for the first time, you literally will not have anything better to do than having fun and going for some stylish combos. The thing with Dante is that he's a quite complex combo maker, depending on the amount of weapons that you want to use. For example, I like to keep only one melee and gun with me (usually Dante's Sword or OG Rebellion and Ebony & Ivory) since it gives me a pleasure. I might only go with him using two different Devil Arms and Guns, but nothing more than that (just like I used to in DMC3). I used to have problems with his switching styles and that's enough of the complexity for me. Nero for example is complex by the amount of combos, but he only use the same weapons. Nico's arms are his form of Devil Arms, which I don't necessarily like/use. Gerbera is the only one that I like to use because of that extra maneuverability that it brings, but overall I usually stick to his OG right devil arm. V is completely different type of character to play. On the one hand it's a very simple character - making the very basic combos and simply button smashing is not that hard and allows you to easily pass through the big groups of enemies. On the other hand, if you expect some stylish fight with him, V is a bit complex character, since you have to control up to 4 combos and characters at the same time. Gaining full control isn't that easy because of how specific both attacks and control is. Other than that, V is the only one that can safely taunt the whole fight and kick ass. Vergil - quite the same story as Dante.I literally like to stick to the OG Yamato rather than troubling myself with switching Devil Arms, but since DMC3 experience, I might consider to start using other Arms too, but probably after I'll unlock all the combos and skills (it feels reasonable, just like with Dante's Arms). It's still a game more based on stylish action fight rather than Dark Souls level of difficulty. Timing and practice is the key to master DMC combat mechanics and having fun with your food.

I’ve only played this game for a couple weeks, and the best stylish rank I got in a combo as Dante is B. And that’s in ONE combo. That has the practicality and flow of moves

When I first started playing dmc3 I didn't even know comboing was a thing. So I feel the noob portion is inaccurate. At least for me. All I cared about doing was doing triangle triangle triangle or triangle delay triangle triangle into stinger. I didn't even use other weapons or even the gun. Oh and didn't use any other style cept for swordmaster cause I prefered launching the enemies into the air and then using basic ass combos. Oh man don't even get me started on accidently using helm splitter a couple of times cause I was expecting air combos.
The noob is definitely too strong. That's basically what I look like with a few elements of the pro mixed in. I remember when this game dropped the number of streams mashing combo 1, or the legendary stinger spam. I'm quite a bit farther along than that.
I proudly reach noob level after playing this series since its first game. What people (like me) should extract from this isn't to lower yourself, but to appretiate to how many levels can these games be enjoyable at, and how it exceeds at giving each skill level a toolset to feel stylish enough. In, say, most other genres like fighting games or platformers, to have a footage that looks as good as the noob level is only a fever dream.

This was the first game in the series that really made me start planning and executing combos and thinking like that which is different yeah but yeah I’m starting to enjoy it.. the first it was about knowing the techniques for each boss in order to cheese them the third game less so but I really liked the sword on sword fights in that one it made me feel super bad ass dodging atks getting some big swings in man I loved that feeling
To be fair the noob one is quite practical with only a few directional inputs and no quad S By directional I mean dance macabre, high time and real impact
Ironically the noob is objectively the most useful combo here. The others are for complete flare and do no damage or get any style points (though they look real cool and require a lot of skill). But there's honestly no reason to use them. Good job nonetheless.
you're cancelling out of so many attacks in the hacker one that you end up doing the least damage out of all of them. ironically the noob combo did the most damage, by far. the hacker did the least.
My friend sent me through DMC bootcamp when we first starting playing 5 with the coop mod. No gold orbs. We started on DH despite me never having played a DMC game before. I reached pro by the end of my first playthrough.
So a noob already looks like a badass by any other game's standards, a pro is a demonic juggler on speed, and a hacker is when the shonen protagonist gets serious and starts moving so fast it looks like he's teleporting.
don't lose much motivation yet my man. I couldn't even get that far when I played as Dante in the void, but I know I could with good practice. So as long as you manage to hit the S rank or above with your main combos you said from a lot of practice, shouldn't be too bad like a noob would be. Keep up :)

Think I’m somewhere between noob and pro. I incorporate jump cancels a lot into combos with every melee weapon and can continue a combo after Quadruple S, but I haven’t started using the air taunt during a combo YET, don’t use summoned swords elaborately like that, and don’t use devil trigger mid combo to enhance it, and definitely don’t use Kalina Ann charge shot mid combo like that. Basically my juggling in general is not at that level yet.
Whatever's before noob like for example if the categories were: a literal brick the caterpillar from Bug's Life a noob a pro and a hacker I would have to go with Bug's Life or maybe Rex from Toy Story
