When we do not know who we are, we dream we are something other than the divine. This is why the world is often called a dreamworld of attack, offense and judgment, where we come here to be limited and be separate bodies and individuals. While we are here, in order to get remember our divinity, we forgive. Forgiveness is looking beyond appearances and judgments, and recognizing the inherent innocence and truth in all beings. It is a state of non-judgment and acceptance, free from the need to impose personal preferences or distort the perception of reality. So the prayer is an acknowledgment of our belief in separation and having divinity undo it within us. God/ Truth is an experience. It is not a concept or an idea. Forgiveness, cleaning our minds, lays the ground on which we can become peaceful to receive this experience of divine love and inclusion, and abundance.
