MrDifferentTV you could do a video on recording vocals over a beat that you have already made showing how to do it in Edison. That always seems so confusing. Thank you!
If you have a problem with the pads, edison has a menu for how the markers are triggered. You can set that to "MPC pads" and that worked for me when I tried it. You can even play it straight from edison.
I don't have a MIDI yet, Im still using my typing keyboard. So my question is once I have all my markers in place in Edison how do i proceed to play the chops with my keyboard and lay them down onto the piano roll? how do I assign each marker to a certain button on my keyboard or to a key in the Piano roll?
Honesly, all I do is dig. I put my Apple Music on infinite loop(or whatever it’s called) and it just plays music within that era or similar to the first song you started with. You’ll stumble upon so many good songs to sample.

You can technically record yourself making the chop then fixing it and mixing it.
Googled beat slicing and your video was just what I was after. Now to do the actual slicing! Cheers.
