Hi Strell. I'm retired and live in the UK. I have a Royal Enfield Meteor that I ride purely for pleasure in the country lanes of Hampshire (southern England). I avoid boring fast open roads as my pleasure is riding in twisty country roads (I know your video chose the open road for a purpose). I noted your advisory script at the start of your video, but my heart missed a few beats whilst watching your ride ! Not for the road speed, as the 350 Enfields are hardly fast, but some of your overtakes. Obviously the traffic rules for driving in th UK differ to India. On the open road, if a police officer sees a motorist doing an 'undertake' the driver/rider is likely to be given an offence ticket for 'Driving without due care' (I expect you know, we, like in your video, drive on the left side of the road, so an undertake is overtaking on the left of a vehicle). The rule can be frustrating when on the open road if a motorist is riding/driving in a righthand lane, but at below the speed limit on the road. I believe the reason for the UK rule is based on the likelyhood of an accident occuring if a driver/rider in a righthand lane doesn't do a proper mirror-check before pulling back to their left side. My 'heart skips a beat' moments were when you 'did lane-split undertakes' (ok in the UK with slow moving traffic such as at traffic lights etc). Several times during your undertakes the vehicle on your right started to move across towards you as you were passing between the vehicles. As a fellow motorcyclist, I want you to be alive on this planet for many years to come. Hopefully I won't cause offence to you by suggesting (very politely of course) that sometimes it is prudent to hang back briefly until the space available on the road gives you an 'escape route' should the driver on your right move back across to their left into your road space. On a 350 Enfield, your only option when travelling at any speed would be to brake (not enough performance to accelerate out of trouble). Forgive me, lecture over ! I've lived into my mid 70s so far and I want you to exceed that :-) It is a good self-preservation outlook to assume that other drivers/riders aren't as competent as oneself ! I really enjoy riding my Meteor. Whilst the engine has minimal power output compared to many, it is a superb engine, very smooth with excellent fuel consumption and the gearbox action first class. I'm sure the Hunter is the same being as the basic mechanics are similar on both bikes (mostly just styling changes). My Meteor has plenty of 'character' and I don't regret downsizing from a Royal Enfield Interceptor. Stay safe. Kind regards. NP.

In India, u get only speeding tickets or Red light miss, you dont get too many lane switching tickets although it is illegal by law but no one cares. Yes people are getting aware these days but complete change will take some time to come. Indian riders find harmony in chaos. They use horns to communicate, so you will find us constantly honking and alerting the drivers around to alert them. It works 😀😀
May be we will crash if theres too much discipline, thats how India has been always. Come visit India one day you will understand what I mean. I do agree traffic police needs to do a better job on implementing proper traffic rules. The traffic camera is doing a good job these days, they sent ticket directly to ur house. So things are changing, it just needs more time. We are learning 😊

Nothing else sounds like an undersquare 4-stroke single. Even at 120 km/h the engine didn't sound stressed. It's spinning about 6,000 rpm instead of 10,000.

Nop its actualy have that sound. Through headphone true sound quality emmerges. You dont have knowledge about headphones. Just try royal enfield bikes once.

So I am really inclined towards this bike, but as a beginner into the biking scene, I am really confused between this and Ronin. Hunter imo turns out to be a more rustic and raw performance delivering bike while TVS Ronin is jam packed with features like GTT and ride mode selection. So just wanted to ask you @Strell and all bikers here, As a beginner, I wanted to buy my very first bike, and since I am more inclined towards these retro styled roadsters/cruisers I wanted to choose something between these two as they fall in my budget. So Hunter has Air Cooling, Heavier weight, no added features but at the same time has great performance and that exhaust note is 😍.Ronin on the other hand has great features, better mileage for day to day usage and a decent exhaust note as well. Really need an opinion here guys!
If you are new in the biking scene, will highly recommend to go with hunter 350..ronin is a great machine too but its quirks and features will bore u out in some months while the power and low end torque of the 350(now with 0 vibrations) will always make u want to take the bike out fr a ride.
make a list of what u want from bike
consider the following+ your own points.
1. aftersales service/how easy it is to get the bike fixed
2. repair cost/maintenance cost.
3. safety .
4. your connection with the bike
there is no right /wrong with point 4.
I was thinking of Ronin or hunter .
I prefered hunter.
1. I rode it with my wife as a pillion. we both felt the machine. she loved it. the sound n the handlebar feel!
2. I think re is easier n cheaper to maintain.
3. higher cc , at this price tag. didn't want to go for 250 cc as I had 220cc bike before. I felt it was not enough for me (with a pillion.)
4. I needed dual abs , tubeless nothing more.
5. I wanted RE over TVS but still gave Ronin a thought, checked video , preferred re even when PPL are saying TVS is feature laden.
6 . I found is an easy 350cc bike to handle.

Hunter♥️. I don’t understand why people compare low cc short stroke machines with high cc long stroke motorcycle. It’s a different experience. And motorcycle is about heart decisions and car is more like practicality. And the features in a motorcycle is pointless if you’re not feeling good while riding it. That’s just my point of view as an old rider (since 2005), your opinion may be entirely different new rider👍🏻
