    I do very similar! I did buy these clear plastic covers/backs so I no longer laminate, just put one of those on the front and back. I also started printing each unit separately. So we have 3-4 smaller books instead of the large one. Partly because we have tons of field trips and other travel and it makes it much lighter for them to bring their books with :) we LOVE the good and beautiful.

      I've definitely toyed with the idea of binding the units separately. :)

    I’ve always wondered how you did this! Thanks for sharing. Also, no need to explain yourself! I think it is so refreshing to see other homeschooling moms in their more normal, everyday state. Love it! It’s a great thing to normalize and to celebrate how we are most of the time! 🙂

    Oh my goodness we print the same lol. It took me so long to find my perfect settings! I use letter size bc A4 isn’t an option for my computer but other than that. I love the process of prepping and printing! Thank you for sharing it was so fun to watch!

    I have all the supplies to bind my printer but it’s a hardcover with metal coils. My planner are 10” along the edge of the 80pt cover and 9.5” for the pages and I cannot get the holes to punch evenly for both. I’ve figure out that finding the center of the page and making sure the edges are even in between the holes and the legs pulled out from those holes outward, I’m having trouble finding a binding machine what will either take a hardcover chipboard (the two I’ve order binding machines that take the chipboard but both $269 machines were lemons as is nearly everything I receive that comes from China, get US made products are too expensive to profit, have been lemons. One had a peg that keeps falling out and the confetti colder was broken, the second had a pen that when pulled still punched partway through ruining every page or cover I tried ti punch. I was able to send them back but I have to be open Nov 1 and this continuing to receive busted crap is going to delay me from getting my 2025 planners out in time? Any suggestions? Does yours allow for thicker material to slide through to the holes? Thanks for the tutorial.

      I have to do that manually. I choose the "print only odd pages" option and then flip them and then print the even pages.

    I'm doing alot of research of binding machines. It's $200 for a decent binding machine and maybe $60 to print all of the curriculum we need. 1 subject of curriculum is $70. The good and beautiful offers some free printable curriculum. It's more feasible to print myself and bind it.

    This was very informative; thank you! Do you no longer clip the edges of the covers with the little clipper tool? I remember you doing that in a past tutorial. If not, I'm just curious as to why (as I do everything precisely as you suggest when I bind)! Thank you for a lovely video.

      @@ThisHomeschoolHouse Thanks for confirming. I found this out right after asking. I appreciate the prompt reply. I have 90 g/m2 paper and assuming the opaqueness and quality is similar to 100 for text but maybe not color.
      Where did you buy the A3 laminator? I am thinking it is comparable to a 12 inch (as opposed to 9 inch).

    • @sonickchri
      @sonickchri หลายเดือนก่อน

      One last question: What size binding coil did you use to print all of The Good and the Beautiful workbooks? Did you only use the large coil that looks like 3/4"? Or, did you ever use something smaller for smaller texts? I need to print the same workbooks too. Thanks for all your help!!

    I have the same printer as you for our homeschool! Do you find that once the ink gets under the halfway point, it prints much slower and the colour of the ink is distorted?? I always have to refill the ink above half or else everything that comes out gets ruined 😢

      It really does depend on your family and where you're located. Shipping to where I live (New Zealand) usually begins at $89USD and only gets more expensive. So, for us it literally saves hundreds of dollars.

    I live in a causal state as homeschooling and studying myself!!! Nothing wrong with it!!! We haven’t printed yet but I think my youngest wants it printed. International shipping makes pdfs worth it!!! We love our ecotank!!! My older kids print the pages they want in their books!!! We even have TGTB Art on my kids bedroom walls!!! They laminate it!!! If my 5 year old asks we do it for her but my old kids don’t ask as they know they are allowed to do it as I know they are safe!!! I think I could bind but it looks hard.
