  • Located in the very North of France, right near the Belgian border, Lille is a thriving international crossroads with a unique personality. Lille has many charms including an annual flea market, the largest in Europe, and a gorgeous old town that’s a real mix of its French and Flemish roots. All this history is reflected in a rich culinary scene that includes hearty traditional meals, great local craft beers and iconic desserts. In this episode you’ll discover typical dishes like the cheesy “welsh” and learn how to make Lille-style waffles. Join Florence Villeminot and Genie Godula as they explore the culinary delicacies of Lille.

Love how a Welsh lasagne is basically the most asked for dish in Lille! 😂

I love your channel and content. Please could you have a look at Porte de Sete, and possibly Montpellier…with Frontignan in between. Most beautiful area.

I noticed Virginie said, "c'est très beau", when she saw the finished waffle. Would "bon" not have been more appropriate here? I was always led to understand that "bonne/bon" was used more for food reference.
