When I started Scrapbooking, Michael's had 3 isles full of scrapbook paper selections. They have NOTHING now, but the seasonal paper packs. It's so dissapointing. You are right. I don't listen to those saying "don't buy from Temu." It's all that's affordable - and offers many options.
We used to get over 300 trick or treater. It was expensive, but I didn't mind. It was so much fun. We don't get ANY anymore. None at all. And we're still in the same house, same main neighborhood in town. It's a new generation of parenting. Kids do parking lot "trunk or treat" events in the daytime. It isn't safe to be walking up to strangers doors at night anymore, and parents won't risk it. Can't blame them! But it is sad to see an old tradition lost. My folks in AZ say they've never seen trick or treaters in their town. My friends all say they never get them anymore either. Shopping centers do trick or treating daytime events from store to store. Those are considered safe. And more parents are content to let the school Harvest festival be the only event. Heaven knows, all these ADHD kids don't need any more sugar. But yeah, I hear ya. It's sad anyway. The old days were fun.
I remember the full moon shifts at the hospital & and the mental health clinics I worked at. My husband always thought it was just me saying it til my son started working as a corrections officer & said No Dad, it's a real thing. Great haul. I'd say I'm addicted to the papers, but let's face it, I'm addicted to everything from Temu! 😅 TFS! Hugs, Tia
Love the items you hauled! What was the name of the last two packs of paper called? They are really neat. Halloween was so much fun when I was a kid and when I had my own children. You’re right, it isn’t much fun anymore. I don’t get trick or treaters either. I wish kids today could experience what we experienced. Tfs 😊
