You are right krlsjke. We do want a regular face, so the truncation will not be exactly in thirds. This was imprecise, the original edges are cut into 3 parts but not exactly in thirds. Thank you for the correction.

it seems like truncation based on thirds would give a non-regular octagonal face since some of its sides would be 1/3 and other sides would be (sqrt 2)/3, the latter fact following from Pythagorean theorem.

So; since the truncated cube is in fact the geometric structural shape what percentage of the cube would you think is trunated and do you think the component parts are identical in size and shape?
I think the only difference only exists in the bb

I have discovered the truncated cube is in fact the true atomic structural model; it complies with every a tribute needed to construct to infinity without pyramiding out , it allows for expansion and contraction thus permitting plasticity and 3D construction to infinity
I have physically constructed each known element and several compound elements to find out the order of assembly and each component part and it's actual physical shape. This is not a theoretical model; it is the actual model which I can prove by demonstrating how each element is formed and which elements form compound elements and how they structurally look.
With my model I can bastardized any element of compound element and know which component to eliminate or how to add molecular components to produce new compounds.
For example in one hour I can demonstrate how TRITIUM is made and looks at the molecular level.
TRITIUM is a bastardized atom; it's fabricated through a distillation and extraction method
