I’ve been watching you all for several months now and thought I might go back to the beginning(I hate feeling like I missed something 🫢) to see your journey. Mary Carl has she a sweet tender nature and the birds know it. They know she can be trusted to keep them safe. She’s a big part of why I’m going back to watch from the start. I know she has decided to decline appearing in videos for the most part right now and I respect her decision and applaud you and Brook as parents for respecting that boundary. She is a brilliant girl and seems always has been. ***next time she says it’s a rooster, Dad, trust her 😊 The 3 of you make for a sweet family.
WOW ... they are two beautiful guys! Black Shoulder Peacocks! very nice! Let me know if you need any hens! hahaha ... We allow ours to roam and they do not go far! They love to eat grass seed and they will put a hurting on ticks also! We have been raising them for a good while now! Let me know !!! Cory in Texas!
I LOVE peacocks and am surprised I don't see more homestead you tubers raising them. They are quite pricey to buy. You are the first homestead you tubers that I have seen with them. My daughter raised a pair, but the hen had not yet laid eggs. She eventually flew off and did not return. They still have the male. He is a beauty. There is also a market for the tail feathers. The craft stores sell them for a good price. She raised her pair in one of her horse stalls. They need a lot of room for those tail feathers. lol I had an aunt that raised them on her farm. I loved going over there and gathering feathers to bring home.
Oh so so Fun!!! Love love love Peacocks - didnt know they were so pretty as babies... are they mean when they are grown - like roosters? Cant wait to see more vids on their progress :)
That was our experience with them, but I think it also has a lot to do with how much land or area they have, bc we gave a pair as a gift to another farm, & they have 160 acres, & have no issues with them....the ones we had were on 3 acres(give or take), & they LOVED my garden
Playing catchup again ! Love seeing how cog hill looked like and how much ..its changed and now on to the 40 ❤
