Thanks... I understand your spacing of the stops. We do 3 hours or so as well. Although, 45 minutes up I-10 in Junction was a fantastic free city park (Schreiner Park).
Tip for another free stop. On I 40 just inside NM border with TX there is a small city park in San Jon NM that allows overnight camping. Yes we had a good stay there.
Great video. We haven’t done Walmart for overnights….yet. Have done a couple of welcome centers that had designated spots just for rvs. What was nice was there was enough room to put out your slides.
I hear ya! The price of diesel has been a limiting factor for me too. I’ve been in cool Colorado and am getting ready to head back to Brenham Texas. Happy trails!
I wish you would have detailed the dump station. Wondering if that had tank rinse water. And fresh fill. It’s more important than the bathroom and flowers, since you are self contained. Thanks
Sorry. It was just for a night, we didn't need it. However, it looked very easy to access on both sides. A review on their website said there was a potable water access there as well. Hope that helps.
Coming thru Texas in about 2 months, but on I - 20 not I - 10 going east to west. Then in Jan. we move to Mission, Tx. for 2 months before heading back north and east. Plans are made and deposits are made so not turning back our plans.
The cost if fuel is keeping us home more this year so i completely understand where you are coming from. Right now however we are home because my wife is in physical therapy and I just had sinus surgery to repair a deviated septum. For a fairly minor surgery this is really kicking my butt pretty hard.
At least it's a little lower this year. So many pros and cons. Being able to take our kitchen with us, saves $ and we eat healthy at "home". Having the Honda toad allows us to get out and explore while the Motorhome stays in a central location. Hope you both can get back on the road soon. Thanks for being part of the conversation!
@@RoamingWithRosie You are very welcome. We tow a Lincoln MKX. We do a mixture of eating in the coach and going out. Also if we are between locations we like boondocking in a parking lot to save money too. This year we have been camping closer to home to save on fuel costs too.
@@RoamingWithRosie I'm looking at tents and air mattresses to downsize. I can load my car and save money and access parks my trailer is too big for.. Have fun..
It would depend on too many things to answer easily, not the least of which is what your situation is. I hope you take the time to follow our ups and downs on our videos for the last year. Ultimately at our age, we chose to keep a home base. We talked about that on this episode: th-cam.com/video/ymvw-gKnmok/w-d-xo.html .
Brandon has nothing to do with fuel prices - just saying. But with the price of fuel so high, it will force me to slow down my travels and spend more time appreciating the (new to me) places we visit.

Great to know. ThNks. Will make a note of that.

Thanks for sharing! We will make a note of that. I know we'll be traveling thru there at some point.

Thank you Melody. That's a good point. We've done a few Walmarts. Even if an app says it's ok, we still go in and ask and do some shopping.
Thanks for the share you two, another excellent production. >Metton ✌😎👌
Much Appreciated!

Safe Travels! Hopefully Texas will enjoy a warmer winter this year.

Hi.. I feel your fuel pain. I had reservations for lost dutchman and dead horse. Gas was $6 1600 mile trip at 8mpg I did the math 😞.. THANKS RWR
Right? We were at Dead Horse last week actually.

With what you know now would you suggest to us to buy aDP and hit the road or not?

With the price of fuel, we have cutback some on our travel distances. Prices supposed to go up again. Lets Go Brandon.
OPEC just cut production to get the price back up. We're already seeing it this week in AZ. Frustrating for sure.
