Platinumed this game yesterday. It was one of the most tedious grinds I've ever done in a video game but I love Star Wars and after all it's a great game so I'm happy to have it Platinum. It's a quite easy Platinum but the grind is just very long. More is not better when it comes to collectibles.

@@dblmisterjokes2 nah trust me bro if you take your time it will take FOREVER. there are so many collectibles. 1200 kyber bricks, those little challenges like finding the wookiee on the planets. you have side missions on the planets which often times take you to other planets which wouldn’t be too bad if there wasn‘t this small cutscene where your ship takes off, then you have a loading screen before having a small cutscene where you land. all those little things that take some seconds add up.
I played this game on and off since released, then like mid of July I decided to grind for the platinum and it took me up until my comment of everyday play time to get the trophy. just hop on and start the grind if you don’t have anything else to do lol

I'm in process of getting the platinum too.
It's a pretty relaxing completion, while it gets tedious, the planets are really well designed and nothing is too difficult, though there should've been maybe half the kyberbricks.
Just got this game last week, I was astounded by the amount of collectibles and Kyber bricks available. I haven’t even finished episode 4 because there’s so much between each mission that I get distracted 😂. I do miss the cantina from the older games

Pro tip, if you start a level in free play and play as a evil character they don't shoot at you and you can just walk past them, I only have 2 episodes left, I have OCD lol so I just 100% a episode as I go along and mop up, I've been playing for too long now almost 3 weeks with 4 hour gaming sessions I appreciate the older star war episodes but I also like the recaps on the recent ones which I haven't seen yet, I like the fact that the actors from the recent films did the voice acting in this game and using the dlc characters is not needed, I didn't buy the deluxe edition because I have it on disc anyways

Amazing video. First time watcher. Just subbed. I've 100% lego star wars took 175 hours to do for me. Endor space race was hardest thing I found doing that race in 45 seconds.
Wow its always nice spotting a smaller channel with this good of content. With videos like this I can see that sub count growing🎉
I picked up the Galactic Edition for PC during Epic's big winter sales event for just under $30 and had a blast playing through. When I played I'd do the story stuff till I found myself in an area where I could free play, then I would try to do all the side missions and puzzles for that area before going on to the next story mission. That way I could break up all the grinding into more manageable chunks.
Also, you can jump back and forth between unlocked movies. I started with episode 4 (of course), but when I found out you had to unlock the scavenger abilities I switched to episode 7 to unlock those and then went back and finished episode 4.
To be faaiiirrr, this game seems like the perfect free time platinum when you are just looking to just chill and play.
Agreed, I may actually be insane and go for the PS4 trophy. I didn't realize until this video that it was an option to double plat it.
i just got the platinum in a little under 100 hours. I will miss this game so much. Might have to replay it a couple of times.

Incredible game got mine a week ago. I 100% the game but apparently I hadn’t done all the races for the trophy even though I had the reward from them. Incredible platinum
I'm 120hrs into the 100% grind (though my friend did accidentally clear my progress when I was at about 40%) and I'm at 86% completion. I'm going back through story mode and getting all of the minikits and challenges done, then I'll have all of the kyber bricks. It's been a long grind.

I got it platinum a few weeks ago & figured most of the stuff out myself. Did the playtrough 2 times and some levels 3 times, was a lot of fun.

Oh man, I'm sorry about your HP game glitching. I didn't have any issues on my PS4 - or was the PS3? - Yikes it's been a while. 😂 I remember the Harry Potter ones being really fun. Honestly, LEGO games are all similar Platinum Trophy wise. So if you enjoy the grind/format -- you'll love them all. For the Marvel sequels (aka not the one with all the Xmen characters), the flying mechanic I remember being super weird and dumb. Especially when trying to find collectables. But with a guide that should go over more smoothly. And the dialogue gets a little campy and silly.
LEGO Lord of the Ring is my FAVORITE tho it's kinda dated now and hasn't gotten a rerelease/remake. 😭
I'd still recommend Quick Brick Games as the go-to Lego guide. And, of course, with LEGO the more you like the franchise the more you'll enjoy the game.

When you mentioned the missions that have you go to other planets I let out a big sigh since I just completed all of them
As you go along in your chronological playthrough you will quickly learn the art of droid/jedi cheesing to skip scavenger puzzles.

I platinumed the PS4 version of this and then I decided to do it again for tge PS5 idk why and I got it today and I’m not ashamed at all I’m just proud that I was able to put myself through everything again IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT

For anyone who wants to start this platinum. Im almost done and it was a hell. Wolfenstein is difficult but this game is impossible somethimes. There are so many bugged challenges. Luckily for every bug is a buggy solution too. This game is very easy but you should only do it if you love star wars otherwise this platinum is gonna hurt your soul
About halfway into my 100% and yea theres a LOT of kyber bricks, still love the franchise and game despite the tedious grind
I´m doing with no rush, play for 3,4 dias and stop,play another games and back to the game and so on....One day i´ll end this game. I platinum all Lego games from ps vita,ps3 and ps4 so this game is no exception. 😊

Just platinum this game yesterday and my gosh it was the most tedious lego game ive played to date, not to mention the countless glitches ive had with some of the missions and collectibles. But besides all that i did enjoy the game and the planets not to mention with games like these that are based of movies i rewatched all star wars movies even the last two i hadnt seen yet.
I got about 85% of the way through completing and my character select soft locked. What was previously tedious became the most frustrating gaming experience ive had in years.
I got the most expensive version of the game when it came out (game + all the dlcs at the moment) and i finished the story and enjoyed it but got really tired of all the puzzles. Recently i got new gen console and installed the game again only to finally 100% it and also see the new performance
I think this is important to mention but I have never in my 17 years seen a star wars movie, I'm simply a big Lego fan and saw this game had all the movies so i thought why not kill 2 birds with one stone. Enjoy the game and learn about the franchise
I dropped the game after beating the story and like most of 1 chapter cause after unlocking the Rancor it was feeling wack cause i enjoyed the game & Starkiller Rey and a Jet Packer jist broke the platforming and had me doing balance games with stacking bricks

I'm the type to complete a lego game 100% before i move on to another game, but I've had this game since release & I'm still finishing the story. It's genuinely overwhelming how many collectibles there are, i might take your advice on tunring off the collectible detector for a while 😂
Same with me. Pre-ordered this game and played it the day of release but I only platinumed it now. Took me 70 or so hours in total because I really took my time lol

I loved completing 100% on steam pretty chill experience except for hyperspace travel
I did this platnium on ps4 and it took forever but then I did it again on ps5 and it made it much more easier because some of those kyber Krystal’s are super annoying
I completed the main story and stopped half way through re-playing it to unlock everything. I should go back. x.x

Protocal droid is the most annoying playing as. Oh wait you can deactivate the Collectible Detector ? Man did not google that XD would make the first playthrough with bossess less... crowded (here is a collectable while i fight the Praetorian Guards).
So far this iss my favorite Lego game. Fun but in short bursts.
Man i wish We could shoot the questgiver for the Kyber Bricks.

2 weeks later I’m finally done all my achievements and now I have no more reason to play it anymore also made me go back to Star Wars battlefront 2 again
I just got the platinum last night and it was most definetely a tedious grind towards the end. The fact that 1200 Kyber bricks aren't even reuqired for a trophy was just salt in the would, I really should have checked the trophy list more thoroughly before. Still, puts me one step closer to 97 plats!

I might not be able to platinum the game cause i missed objectives in some of admiral ships while invading them. And since once you bought them you can only attack them to explosion without being ask to invade again well im stuck to 1198 kyber brick.

Compared to the Complete Saga they missed a lot of characters that people actually care about.
What planet is it best to start in and what would be the best order of planets to complete the game on?
Great question! I don't think there's one planet that's better to start than the rest. You slowly unlock free play as your progress. So you could do it that way. However there are still missions/quests that either take you off world or interconnect with other worlds. So that kinda makes ordering them less of a priority.
I'd just say do them in the order where you keep some of your favorite planets near the end. So you always have something to look forward to. The wookie planet (with the trees) was kinda a hassle to traverse. So maybe that one near the front - to get it out of the way. Other than that it's all preference. You'll spend plenty of time in all of them and bounce from one to another as you unlock mission quest threads.

If anyone reads my comment and wants to 100% it, please start with the sequels, and speedrun the story to complete episode 9. The first order jet trooper is by far the best trooper for general exploration and combat

As someone who just 100%'d it today, HELL NO it was not worth it. In fact, I'm never playing another Lego game after this. It was sooo long and drawn out, co-op seemed like an afterthought, and it really needs more QOL attention. Save your own time.

I've 100%d 14 Lego games but took a long break after The Hobbit when it was clear TT was focused on making their games longer, not better. I got 100% in the Skywalker Saga but it's the last of their games I'll ever play. TT's attitude seems to be "if one scoop of vanilla ice cream is good then 20 scoops is 20 times better." No TT, it's just too much vanilla ice cream.

It's meant to be based on the movies and there's literally 340+ characters and now we have clone wars dlc and stuff too, Lego games have probably broken the most playable characters in any videogame and no Fortnite skins don't count
I like lego games, I love Star Wars. I loved 100%ing this game. I also used Babu Frick instead of C3PO. Stupid protocol droids.
I agree with most of this video. The games well designed, areas are detailed enough that every area feels unique, you have all your favourite characters. But personally, i found the game dragged out. Im talking in past tense, despite only having 75 percent done and still working onnit, but im just not enjoying the tediousness, especially the side quests that require travelling between planets and tedious grinding elsewhere just to go back to the planet im trying to complete. Im 82 hours in and think i was about "done" with the game 30 hours ago. For the casual gamer and star wars fan, i recommend this, especially if they like lego games, its certainly one of the best. But from a completion stand point. This is torturous to me😅

It's almost always wise to keep your game updated as that helps with bugs and fixes. But whether you update or not, I don't believe it'll be easier to get characters. It's a grind but also kinda fun to all the details.
Its a great game but its missing one of the best levels and i cant let go of that grudge

Doing it now. Game is hilarious good fun. Not really a grind, just a decent hunk of time to pull it off. Their are way more tedious 1k's. Minecraft, Ark, Rdr2 to name a few
