Inspiring. Positive vibes. Comfort. Calm. Focused. Adam Lambert. I'm a 63 year old disabled female who finds all of those words to be felt when I watch him. My physical pain lessens when I hear his voice. Blessed to know Adam Lambert is available to ease my pain with his beliefs, interviews and songs. Thank you

I don't even have words to express how incredibly captivating this conversation was. It was really interesting to sort of "discover" all what he went through. He's an artist yes. But he's before anything else, human.
Thank you Adam for being so generous and for sharing with us. ❤

As a “recovering” Covid frontline nurse, I thank you both for sharing your experiences. I am rediscovering Adam and his music, finding “self care” in listening to his music again. It has become a part of dealing with the crash after the extreme Covid work. I focused on ventilators or some other object to be able to keep performing the complex and emotional care. It was hard to realize as things slowed down that I needed to recharge and focus on depression as real

When I started playing bass in 99 i really wanted to be in a band and never could work it iut but finally a few years later in 2003 i had accomplished getting a band started and once we booked our first show i was an extremely nervous wreck. I remember setting up and soundchecking and knowing that things were going to go well and then i became a extremely nervous sickly scared whiney baby... I was so sick. Once the show started my stomach was so cramped and i knocked 2 basses out if tune during the 1st 2 songs... I had never done anything like that before but it started to become easier and once I started thinking I honestly do not care what anyone thinks it really became easier...
I have bad nerves and social anxiety

I'm still taking anti depressants I lost my brother and husband within 11 months of each other. I don't care who knows it, sometimes we need that bit of help. I saw a mental health councillor on zoom after covid as I was one of those who had to isolate, and going back out into the world really made me panic, its a horrible feeling, I was like Adam feeling like I was going to pass out, dizzy and feeling sick. I'm so glad he can open up like that, he's human, I just wish some vile people wouldn't make comments on his weight, those things really hurt, so glad he actually told someone off on instagram for commenting - I think hes looking amazing right now, especially in leather!

    • @AdinaIspas

He looks fantastic for his age, and I actually like guys a bit on the plump side (it’s genetic and very attractive) - not that it matters but just saying: if someone likes skinny then that’s their own thing, and they shouldn’t expect everyone to fit that ideal. That’s not Adam’s role in the world, fitting our relationship ideal. He’s here to perform songs. The only thing he needs is to be aware, understand his own body and emotions, and clearly there’s no lack on that front.

Just when I think I cannot adore this man any more than I have since he first appeared on Idol, he offers the gift of personal honesty. I related completely when Adam said he looked back over his life and realized he had been living with anxiety all along. It is such a startling realization! How brave and intelligent of him to be willing to know himself, share even more of himself, and make us all feel more human and connected--which is what he has been doing all along with his singing voice. Thank you, Adam. Love you!

I really needed to hear this broadcast today. Adam is so relatable, and doesn't act like he's better than anyone else because he's a celebrity. He understands what it's like to be a "regular" person. I recently went through those feelings of being "off" and not knowing what was happening to me. This is the best interview I have seen recently. It seemed like two friends just talking, and Fearne asked all the right questions, along with sharing her own experiences. Adam and Fearne are truly an inspiration to help us all be our true selves and not worry about what others think. Bravo!

I've been struggling with depression for a very long time. I'm finally going to go to therapy to try to help. I have horrible panic attacks. Listening to Adam's music really helps me calm down when I'm having a severe panic attack. I also will look completely conscious but actually be asleep. The doc cant do much about it. Something about his voice and the emotion he puts behind his music just calms me. I wish I could tell him thank you even just once so he'd know how much I truly appreciate everything he's done for so many people. I plan on doing drag as him to help raise money for me to breed and raise service or assistance dogs for people in the LGBTQIA+ community who otherwise couldn't afford it. It's definitely a long road to get the know how of training under my belt but I'm very passionate about it.

Excellent conversation, honest and real. Terrific that Adam is make up free and without huge glasses, both of which seemed a way for him to hide behind. Most of all it’s a break from the old interviews he was put through over the years, where they always included his eyeliner and sexuality. Both are his business but do not define him.

I loved this interview, just hearing about what Adam went thru and how we all at one point in our lives suffered from anxiety, the hardship to fit in. The acceptance from society, this is all a big deal. It's huge and I just wish he was my friend. I have been thru so much working in the medical field. I relate to what he went thru. I am so glad he was open and honest. What a great conversation about mental health, self care, medication etc. I thank Ferne and Adam for this great interview.

I love this Adam... unplugged, un-glammed, real... Glambert is fun, too, but this is my favorite Adam.

Hello lovely Ferne, I hope that you are doing well. I have been listening and watching your podcast now ever since the beginning of this year. I was beyond thrilled that the Happy Place podcast is indeed the first podcast that I ever listened to. I think I've near enough listened to every single episode that has been produced and I'm in love. Thank you for everything that you do by helping so many people navigate their way through life. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found your podcast and the first episode I ever listened to was the episode with Russell brand, it has truly changed my life for the better and you may not know this but you have been on many walks in nature with me, sharing your words of wisdom whilst I take in the natural beauty that surrounds it all. Adam Lambert is an incredible talent and his voice is so unique, I can't wait to feast my ears on this later. The work you're doing is life changing for so many people and whenever you feel low, always remember that you are making a difference in this world, and that my friend, is amazing. lots of love from Lancashire

Great conversation. Re the point you two made about making sure you recognize that you're safe in any given moment: I think that is so needed where the phrase, "I don't feel safe" is being overused, in my opinion. One's mind may mean one thing, but I think the body/physiology responds to that phrase with adrenaline and terror. Words matter. I think it might be helpful for folks to distinguish between not feeling safe versus feeling something they may be uncomfortable expressing, like angered, disrespected, embarrassed, or whatever applies.
