Hi. So beautiful to see you and your dad hanging out and working together. So so awesome. Blessings to you and your husband and your entire family and your children
I really enjoy your channel. Strangely because I worked a summer at a small local dairy when I was in Jr high. Long hard hours! I was never so happy when school started as I was that year. That was 56 years ago and I still remember the early mornings, the sweat and the smells like it was yesterday. Love your good natured attitude and general dairy talk. Stay safe!
Love the farming info! I grew up until 6 or so on a very small dairy farm in Southern Oregon. ( it was bigger but the Interstate 5 sliced it in half ) I have watched a lot of your videos.. I must say your eyes really popped in this one particularly at the beginning! Something about the light angle or such. Dad is so COOL ! Keep up the great work !
Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed it and can relate. My sister in law is from Oregon. She always talks about missing it. (I typically have lash extensions, and I actually missed my last apt, so you can physically see more of my eyes, making them look lighter… if that makes sense 😂) thank you for complimenting my dad, I enjoy that more than getting compliments myself! Thanks for being here and sharing your kindness! 🤍🐮
Hi Kyndra! Thanks for the interesting tour, I liked it. Your dad is cool, he needs to appear in your videos more often. You complement each other perfectly.👍We are looking forward to your new videos and interesting stories. Have a nice day to you and your family and prosperity to your farm!✌🙂🤍 P.S. Congratulations to you with 10K subscribers. Yay!🥳
I can always count on you to be a big ray of Russian sunshine here in America! Thank you so much for always complementing my dad.. means more to me than you know! I hope you have a beautiful week and again, thank you for being here 🫶🏼🤍🐮
To keep costs down here we use grass Kikuyu grass or Napier grass and dairy meal silage hits production up but the cost is high if feed it's only for lactating cows.
We use Napier grass here to keep costs down silage produces milk but costlier, red and black cows from USA we call them Holstein Friesian while those from Europe we just call Friesian difference american are bigger taller.
Two questions today. 1) What do you do with the baby bulls? 2) Cows don’t start being milked until after they’ve had their first calf? Making sure I understood correctly.
I can't wait until your dad allows us into the milk room!!! If he does, but I'm a hoping. I love watching the cows come in get cleaned and milked, they know they're jobs so well.❤
We use Napier grass here to keep costs down silage produces milk but costlier, red and black cows from USA we call them Holstein Friesian while those from Europe we just call Friesian difference american are bigger taller.we make Napier silage then maize germ mixed with maize cobs and minerals we use rudimentary machine called forage chopper/ grinder.
Always enjoy your videos, Kyndra!!.. Thanks for sharing.. I was a Wisconsin dairy farm kid, way back in the day.. Your videos bring back so many memories!!..😉
A great dairyman knows his cows my dad was that way here in western New York we never could raise our young stock in the open last two winters we had two major storms 5.5 feet in two days last Christmas storm 70 mph winds 4 plus feet of snow at minus 0 temps
Your dairying is 50yrs ahead here we do hand milking 90% of farms.raw milk fetches twice the price as compared to delivery to dairy companies.we use barrel silage here our operations are small.
Hi Kyndra, thank you for this video. It's very interesting to hear you describe this part of dairy farming that is often overlooked on other channels. Do you (your farm) have control of the ingredients that make up the TMR fed to your heifers by the ranch? Does Mr. Connors take a sample of the feed fed to the heifers for his own analysis. Your dad is a very smart man! Thanks, Bill
Thank you so much for the questions, Bill! Our heifer ranch is open to conversation, however we have no oppositions to the current ingredients that make up the current TMR. & Yes, he does takes samples! Thank you so much for your kindness and time! 🤍🐮

Kyndra, I new to the channel and may have missed this, but can you explain the value of nutrition to a milk cow vs grass or grain to a beef cow. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the question! The value of nutrition would be based on energy content. A comparison is hard to make considering they are 2 different producing animals. (Like the old saying “comparing apples to oranges”). I hope that gives a little clarity & Thank you so much for the great questions!

Great video. If all those heifers aren't yours then who do they belong to? Is it smart to mix your cows with cows from somewhere else ?
how far away do u ship milk and when u get blistering hot months how much does milk drop
