This actually looks kinda funny but it won't touch the original. The only real issue I see with this one is that the white dude already looks like a baller. Woody Harrelson had the opposite affect, he really did look and act like a Chump. That, and the chemistry between him and Wesley Snipes is why the movie worked so well. In the modern day, it's been pretty common to see tall white dudes Excell in basketball so the trope of the title doesn't really work the way it did in the original. Times are just different.

That is more so on the actor playing the part performance. As well as, very simple plot. White Men Can’t Jump was about two actors, trying to put aside their differences. Not only as far as race but as individuals to play street ball. Which up to that point whites didn’t really do that. That was more of a black people thing. White players are seen far differently now then they were in the 90’s. So the plot and title fit perfectly then. A lot of films based on the plot just don’t work the same way placed in a different time/lacks the authenticity. Cheers as I move on.
Love this movie where racism used in the language is actually not an issue, on the contrary, where people appreciate each other and complement in their differences. Lovely story and a great concept to show how also films can be made without violence and with a story behind that teaches something constructive. And where friendship is more important than winning.

Grew up with original, odd not seeing Woody, Wesley and Rosie but this definitely looks like its worth watching.
This was the first movie I was able to have any small part in. Had fun on the set!
