  • The latest top-of-the-line smart trainer from Tacx, the Neo 2T, has a host of new features to heighten your indoor training experience. Natural bike movement, motor-driven descent simulation and the ability to mimic different road surfaces - like cobbles and gravel - means the Neo 2T (in conjunction with training apps) delivers a never-before-seen level of realism, essentially bringing more of the outdoors indoors, for a truly immersive and engaging ride feel.
The Neo 2T also delivers extremely accurate power measurement, +/-1% up to 2,200 watts, and is one of the quietest indoor trainers out there. It’s simple to set up, and because it can generate its own power too, you can literally use it anywhere.

Took the plunge and bought the Tacx neo t2. Loving it so far after seven days of continuous use . Set up is easy. It pairs all devices to Zwift in seconds. One thing I would suggest to novice cyclists like myself is to either get clip shoes or pedals with straps as alot of the workouts require you to maintain a certain wattage. This can be quite challenging without them as the wattage fluctuates quite alot.

I have the Tacx Neo 2T and I love it. It's an amazing trainer in every respect, the only downside is the price. It's certainly beyond the point of diminishing returns, there's a handful of very capable smart trainers for about $500 usd less. But nothing else is quite as immersive imo with the extremely quiet opperation, dual sided power readings, slight rock, road surface feel, and driven descents all in one hassle free package. Some consider some of those features gimics and certainly you can train just fine without most of them; but they are fun and immersive. If you have the budget and those features help make the training time more enjoyable they may be worth it to you.

I have the Neo , love it , as I’m after a winter bike with discs thinking of upgrading to this for through axle compatibility , save putting my main bike off and on think would be better just to throw winter bike on , I kept the box and it stores away nicely in a small space in the corner , nice tip about the rear brake spacer never thought of that , first review I’ve seen mention it 👍🏻

Great vid! I bought the Neo 2t a month ago and I LOVE the road feel function. If you're going to spend a lot of time on a trainer, then these realistic tactile changes are a must. So good

Great video.. would like to see you compare the new Elite Direto XR against the TACX Neo 2. Around a £400 difference between the two. I've seen the TACX in my local bike shop it is impressive but it's still the price of a new road bike. I am looking at upgrading to a smart trainer... many thanks 😊

I'd be interested to see more info on the unpowered set up and what gear you need to view how many watts your putting out and how many calories you're burning. Thanks for the informative video

Was it the camera moving or was the trainer moving forward during that sprint?

In your opinion, is this the best smart trainer on the market today?

I just got mine and I run the SRAM 12 speed (10-36) and my derailleur drags on the fly wheel while in the 36 cog. I have tried different spacers on the XDR hub and nothing works. So as of now I can’t ride in my easiest gear. I can’t imagine I am the only one who has this problem. I have submitted videos to Tacx support and have no resolution yet. Really frustrating. Should have got the wahoo

Are the Neo motion plates worth it or are they just a gimmick?

Has anyone worked out how to use a Trek Domane SL7 with the Kickr? It's not supported officially. The cost of the Tacx plus a cassette is off putting when the Kickr is just as good or better. Can I also ask do I have to buy the identical cassette which is on the bike?

      Hey,
As for the cassette you can put any you want. Respect the number of speeds and how your rear derailler is set. It could be a hassle to constably have to readjust your bike to your trainer then to your wheel and so forth. At the moment I got a noise problem on mine. It is grinding. I posted a video on my profile and will reach out to TacX customer service. Cheers mate.

your brake caliper was rubbing the side of trainer. Neo 2T has this fatal design flaw: Non drive side don't have enough space for disk brake caliper(142mm axle).. it annoys me greatly. I have to mount my mountain bike (148mm opening at rear) on the trainer, road bike always ends up brake caliper rubbing
