For all the people that hate these dogs... This is how every domesticated dog breed was created from the Mastiff to the Pug. From time immemorial people decided on a phenom they liked and then fixed those genes by back breeding and inbreeding creating a genome that would stay relatively stable in each progeny. I am not a breeder, but I have rudimentary understand of genetics. There is also the fact the selective breeding almost always leads to genetic problems. Natural selection does too. No one, not even nature can give you a guarantee against genetic defects. I got a beautiful APBT a year and a half ago. His ancestry was full of UKC Purple Ribbon Champions. He himself was a beautiful specimen in terms of breed conformation, temperament, and gameness. He was the perfect dog for us (i am sure i am a bit biased). He was a lot of work but it was worth it. But he always acted funny. He loved running but never jumped, he sat Indian style all the time (on his butt instead of his legs) and started getting lame in his hind legs, first one leg then the other alternately. He got very heavy (all muscle) on a really small diet and before we knew it he stopped being able to keep up with his bike rides. Pretty soon we had to carry all 85 pounds of him up the steps. We got x-rays and he had the hips of a 10 year old dog. The only option was $10000 hip replacement and even that was a crap shoot. Our little puppy was crying all the time, or stoned on 100mg of Tramadol and Rimadyl twice a day. Then he started looking at us with the saddest eyes in the world. We tried to save him for a month but when an APBT shows pain, its always unbearable for them. We wondered how much and how long he had been hiding it. He got put down at home 2 months ago. Saddest day of my life I swear. For me, I love seeing people who clearly love and take care of their dogs no matter what breed. If a bully makes you happy, and you make them happy and treat them right, what right does anyone have to judge you and your pet? Love them, discipline them and cherish them. And dont let anyone tell you that you cant.
I am a Rotti and Dobi person, but damn, these are adorable! No such thing as a dangerous, or "red zone" dog. It's all the owner. Look at those tails wiggle! I am smiling! One can not take an abused animal to a public park, because there is always a danger of the dog (regardless of breed) going off like a firecracker. These dogs look happy, well mannered, socialized, well cared for and most importantly, loved. Just like there are different shapes of Rottis among the American and German lines, there are different shapes of the various Pitti breeds. I just learned about the Bully XXL pitbull breed. I looked at some videos and saw comments and think its a wonderful breed of dog. However, understand if you've done some intense research you would know that that any mixed dog can be called a "pitbull" as log as it has some of the traits. A bully is a mixed "pitbull" type breed with a massive type breed. I do like them, and will watch there popularity grow. As a side bar my favorite and exotic breed still remains as the South African Boerboel.
These dogs are deformed and have horrible health problems. For starters they can't breathe correctly so that makes them pretty much worthless. They have bowed legs and most certainly hip problems. They have no athletic ability at all and will keep their owners up all night making snorting sounds because they can't breathe

For those of you who dont know what the american bully breed is, its a new breed that we created about 20 years ago. What we decided to do is take the APBT and cross it with a pot belly pig. After that we bred out all undesirable traits of the original APBT such as health, Athleticism, tenacity, stamina, strength, agility, and intelligence.
They're bred for defects and faults, damn shame. All of these dogs have real pits in they lineage, but they aren't pits thats for sure. Hear the nasty breathing? Dog couldn't do a days work if he tried, poor thing. They look like pig/dogs. These dogs can't be compared to a true APBT. They should at least "clean up their yards" with good looking pits; and get some of the athletic shit back in them. Lose the grossly short muzzle, easty westy feet, crimped tails and too wide of chest and they would look really good...maybe.

My pitbull is healthy and he gets check ups monthly, but when he runs he breathes so loud. You can hear him across the entire dog park. My vet says that its because he doesn't get enough exercise but its nothing to dangerous and nothing to worry much about. Just make sure he gets enough water when hes running and exercise him a little more.

There are many Bully breeders that breed for quality and correct structure. Me personally will not own a Bully with a kink tail but thats just my style and opinion. This breed has many positives along with negatives but there is always haters in anything that is successful. My dogs are raised around my kids and family and are loved by all. They have even changed the minds of people who have feared dogs in general all there life with there temperment. Please do research before bashing and hating

@Amyy Lynn There's plenty of very active bullies. But most are xl and classics since they're really easy to keep fit w/o too much activity. Standards can be healthy but you have to be way more strict on calorie intake and output.

these dogs are so beautiful!! have a pitbull of my own she not american though im from nz would love to know what you feed them to get them looking like that like my dog stocky but athletic stocky

There are many Bully breeders that breed for quality and correct structure. Me personally will not own a Bully with a kink tail but thats just my style and opinion. This breed has many positives along with negatives but there is always haters in anything that is successful. My dogs are raised around my kids and family and are loved by all. They have even changed the minds of people who have feared dogs in general all there life with there temperment. Please do research before bashing and hating

@Amyy Lynn There's plenty of very active bullies. But most are xl and classics since they're really easy to keep fit w/o too much activity. Standards can be healthy but you have to be way more strict on calorie intake and output.

they're mostly snorting for air because they have choke chains. I also question if some of these bullys have been bred with bulldogs though.

very correct they were created through a cross breed, but maybe when people say pure they meen nothing but pit and not mixed with any other dogs like boxer or anything else.
