Now, 35 years on since we began filming TARKA THE OTTER in the actual locations that Henry Williamson described so beautifully in his novel, Peter Talbot has published a book titled, TARKA AND ME, telling the story of how the film was brought to the screen. In particular, Peter’s book tells of the two years he spent with the very special little otter who plays the part of Tarka in the film. (also on FB)

Those Charterhouse Boys did well, didn't they? No substitute for a good education. Your interpretation is excellent- Us Ant fans always wondered what the film should have sounded like- well done, Sir!

Thankyou Desweef!!! The exact music I was thinking of is the part between 6:10 and 6:20!!! Now if only I had the whole song now lol... I really enjoyed seeing this though, cheers!

OOH, do I love this film the music is fantastic. Not many people have heard of this film. I only know about it because it was on the end of a video I have at home, I'm so glad I have seen this beautiful film. AI and gladiator are also some of my other favorite films, tear jerkers are so much better than "feel good" films.

    Nope.
Anthony Phillips made perfect soundtrack too.

@zebonaut Nah, Fanshawe's score is heartbreakingly beautiful. Philips's soundtrack doesn't come close.
