Also, for only having 25k+ subs. You have spent a lot of time putting your videos, editing, and research together. Excellent work! Up there with some of my favorite board game TH-cam channels, like Shut Up and Sit down.
I feel like 40 dollar + 19 dollar is quite a lot for 'a card game'. I see how it comes with a lot more game then just a regular Cardgame, but would you say it's a fair price for the content you get? I know this is completely subjective, but would like to know your point of view 😁
For me - yes, the time and production that is put in I adore. I have paid as much for a quality set of comics. However - if your not into the choose your own adventure story. Probably not.
So.... Thank you for the review, although... I’ve been waiting the all video for you to talk about one subject and one subject alone: REPLAYABILITY. Sooo... You take a pick. Then play again. Then take the other pick. Then play again, and know both possibilities..? In other words, I’m quite surprise that - unless I’ve missed it - you haven’t said a single word regarding the replayability element... According to that, should we realize that the absence of this subject from the video is the same as the absence of that element on this game’s life..?
Art in original game was amazing. Unfortunately game play was ton of dice chucking and the game basically played itself apart from the story choices. I also wasn’t pulled into thr story. I am glad they are adding some interesting new things but will pass. ;(
Hey! I said the name wrong - Hilde-gard not Hilde-grad
That artwork and card design is very catching. Love the focus on orange.
Right!!!
artwork is like vikings meets halloween and thanksgiving :)
Spires End was my introduction to Quackalope and the wonderful world of Kickstarter games. Been a fan of both ever since.
No no. Thank you for what you guys do. I watch your content daily and listen to the podcast when I can. It's the best part of my day.
This is fun to hear - I feel the same way…if that makes sense?

It looks gorgeous and I do love CYOA style games. But, what makes this preferable to an illustrated CYOA book?
Excited that they added a coop component to this. Can't wait to play with my wife and enjoy the story and artwork together.
Thanks for making this video. This game looks really fun. I’m about to show it to the wife. Happy gaming!
Can’t wait to play this-next year! Just backed it. A little on the high side for price, but I appreciate these projects.
I am absolutely in. Spires end is my favorite CYO of all time.
The original is one of my favorites, I am very excited for the sequel!
It’s so solid :)
Is it really a “sequel”? Story-wise?
@@sentino68 it is the second game, but story-wise, it is a prequel; an origin story of one of the characters in Spire's end
You say mainly solo adventure game but the Kickstarter says solo and cooperative. What's the gameplay like for 2 players?

Hey!! so great you like it!!
FYI: Typo in the title 😉
Got it - and I said the name wrong . . . close enough?
@@Quackalope Close enough! 😁
Do you need to have played Spires End to understand and play Hildegard?
So....

P.S.
I hope not...
Nope over 400 cards with wide and branching pathways. It’s got as much replay ability as almost any choose your own adventure novel.
Why do so many projects have limited shipping :( They just skip over India.
World problems - that publishers can’t work around.
