In Bosnia -2 is a blessing. I once went to mountain hiking during the winter, we went without water or layers of clothing, we hiked for about 40 miles, and then it was night, and we were in the middle of the forest, we needed to get back home, we were putting underwear on our heads and socks on our hands, just so we weren't cold or we wouldn't get hypothermia and amputate our hands. We barely survived, and got home that night. Btw I was just 14 at the time. It was literarly state of survival, we needed to find a way to survive, all of us got home safely, and some of us got lower stages of hypothermia, I was so cold, that I needed about 7 hours to get warm again. And the sad part is, I wan't to do that again, because it was exciting.
Edit: It was about -40 to -50 degrees Celsius
