Can't wait to make it
Thank you so much. I finished making this 2day❤ love you lot... ❤
Thank you so much for this truly! I am someone who is not a beginner as my mother taught me the basic when i was young and i knit and crochet but....its been years since i have sewn something that wasn't just a repair of some kind. I've made it my goal this year to make at least 10 completely homemade garmets or accessories. Watching this video was so helpful! Very detailed and explained. I look forward to your next video. You sold me for sure. Subscribed immediately!
Thank you so much for your kind words and subscribing!!! I’ll have a lot more videos coming in the fall, the summer is really hectic so there won’t be many until Sept!
@sewbakemake I'm so glad to have found someone that makes complete sense! I completely understand summers are always so crazy! I'm working a thrift flip of sorts at the moment. Old button-up mens shirt into a skirt. It's turning out great so far. Had a little trouble with measuring and seam allowance, but I think I have it down almost. I used a skirt that I already had as the guide. It was worn out, so it was a good one to use. I'm trying to figure out how to finish the top. 😅
@@Biminigirl15honestly, that’s the nicest compliment!! 🥹 That’s my main goal, making things easy to understand! That skirt sounds so fun, I love upcycling shirts!!
New subscriber. I am so excited to start sewing and this will be my first project so glad that I found you on here.
Thank you for watching!! I hope you love the pattern!!
Hello! I am a new subscriber. Thank you so much for this videos. I am just starting to sew and this has been very helpful. Expecting a new video of these series
There will be more soon, I’m just getting back into the groove after taking the summer off!
thank you so much! i am not a begginer but i loved how you explained it❤ i wish i knew your channel before! im sure i can still learn a lot from you though :)
Thank you so much, that makes me so happy to hear! 🩷
Nice 👍🙏✨
Thank you! Cheers!
This is so cute! I can’t wait to make this
Yay tag me when you make it, I’d love to see!
Thank you !!
Thank u soooooo muchhhhhhh❤❤❤❤
It's a beautiful bag and easy tutorial. Can we use a normal needle for canvas and denim or do we need different size of needle? What about thread?
Thank you! If you use a heavy denim or canvas, I would use a 90 or 100 jeans needle! Thread- I would use polyester sew all thread!
Is the pattern a free download ? And i do not see a link …. Love this to make for my ballerina granddaughters.
The details are in the description box- just head to my website and subscribe to my newsletter, then you’ll be taken to the pattern page and can checkout and the files will be emailed directly to you 😊
what type of item did you thrift for the yard of canvas material? Was it a bedsheet?
I think it was an actual piece of fabric someone donated, I found it in the fabric/craft section. Bed sheets are never made of canvas, it’s too stiff and structured for that.
Thank uuuu ❤❤❤❤❤
I’m deciding between denim and canvas fabric for this, what did you use in this video?!
I thrifted this fabric so I’m not entirely sure what it is, but it seems like a canvas to me! Either would work well though! 😊
How can I change the straps so it’s just one strap instead of 2 joint with a knot?
You could just make the strap extra long and attach the one to either end!
Will this pattern be returning to your website? Just looked and I dont see it :)
It's still there! You need to enter your email address to subscribe to my newsletter, then you'll be taken to the page where you can access my free downloads :)
@@sewbakemake thank you so much!
Hi! Can you help us with fixing bird nesting :( I can sometimes do only few stitches without it, every time is different
It’s really hard to troubleshoot that without knowing about your machine, the fabric, the needle etc, but you could try holding the threads taught when you first start, changing the tension or the needle, or using tissue under the fabric
10:22 Check your sewing manual and make sure your machine is threaded right. I use to think it wasti do with the bobbin. Had my machine repaired twice abd he kept saying he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Saw a TH-cam video that said more times than not, it's how you are threading the machine. Let me know if that works.

Why do you use a 1/2 inch seam allowance, and trim? Wouldn't it be easier to just sew a 1/4 seam allowance?
I made it a 1/2” to make is easier for beginners and just like to trim certain pieces like the straps, but it’s not necessary to trim if you don’t want to 😊. In the instructions, I just have you trim the corners so they’re sharp
What kind of knot did you use to tie up the straps?
I used basically a slip knot!
Its like you started sewing series and completely forgot about it
Eek. Sorry to disappoint. I’m still planning on releasing more videos, but have two toddlers at home so don’t have much free time.
@@sewbakemake awwww, i didn't want to bother you as many TH-camrs start for fun and Disappear, that is why i said that, i respect your responsibility more
I’d love to be able to upload weekly or even monthly but this stage of life is really busy and I’m just not able to do as much as I’d like! Hopefully I’ll have a bit more time this year to upload more consistently!
@@sewbakemake giving time to your family and toddlers is more important than random TH-cam follower and it should be as you will miss their childhood after they get older lots of love to you and you toddlers 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yep, I know how fast it goes by, hence why my channel is the way it is 😊 Thank you!
I just got my first sewing machine and I want to make this for myself 🥹
Yay I’m so excited for you!!
